1Kgs.6 [38]… in the
month Bul, which is the eighth month

Mar Cheshvan as
Judaism states
Today’s Topic:
Obey the voice of Yehovah
A few verses of each:
The eyes of Yehovah
Gen.6 [8] But Noah found grace in the eyes
of Yehovah
Deut.11 [12] A land which Yehovah
your God cares for: the eyes of Yehovah your
God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the
year.
Deut.13 [17] And there shall cleave nought
of the cursed thing to thine hand: that Yehovah may
turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee
mercy, and have compassion upon you and multiply you, as he had sworn unto your
fathers; [18] When you shall
hearken to the voice of Yehovah your God, to
keep all his commandments which I command you this day, to do that which is
right in the eyes of Yehovah your God.
1 Kgs.15 [5] Because David did that which was
right in the eyes of Yehovah, and turned
not aside from any thing that he commanded him all
the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
[11] And Asa
did that which was right in the eyes of Yehovah,
as did David his father.
1 Kgs.16 [25] But Omri
wrought evil in the eyes of Yehovah, and did
worse than all that were before him.
1 Kgs.22 [42] Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old
when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five
years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah
the daughter of Shilhi. [43] And he walked
in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not
aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of Yehovah: nevertheless the high places were not taken
away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.
2 Chr.14 [2] And Asa
did that which was good and right in the eyes of Yehovah his God:
2 Chr.16 [9] For the eyes
of Yehovah run to and fro throughout the whole
earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect
toward him.
2 Chr.21 [1] Now
Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers
in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in
his stead.
[2] And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah,
and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah,
and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons
of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.
[3] And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and
of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the
firstborn.
[4] Now when Jehoram was risen up to the
kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with
the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.
[5] Jehoram was thirty and two years old when
he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
[6] And he walked in the way of the
kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab
to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of Yehovah.
2 Chr.29 [6] For our
fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the eyes
of Yehovah our God, and have forsaken him, and
have turned away their faces from the habitation of Yehovah,
and turned their backs.
Pss.34 [15] The eyes
of Yehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears
are open unto their cry.
Prov.5 [21] For the
ways of man are before the eyes of Yehovah,
and he ponders all his goings.
Prov.15 [3] The eyes
of Yehovah are in every place, beholding the evil
and the good.
Prov.22 [12] The eyes
of Yehovah preserve knowledge, and he overthrows
the words of the transgressor.
Isa.49 [5] And now, said Yehovah
that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him,
Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of Yehovah, and my God shall be my strength.
Jer.52 [1] Zedekiah was one and
twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in
Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal the
daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. [2] And he did
that which was evil in the eyes of Yehovah,
according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
Amos.9 [8] Behold, the eyes of Lord Yehovah are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy
it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the
house of Jacob, said Yehovah.
Zech.4 [10] For who had
despised the day of small things? for they shall
rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel
with those seven; they are the eyes of Yehovah,
which run to and fro through the whole earth.
1 Pet.3 [12] For the eyes
of Yehovah are over the righteous, and his ears
are open unto their prayers: but the face of Yehovah
is against them that do evil.
Face of Yehovah
Gen.19 [13] For we
will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face
of Yehovah; and Yehovah
had sent us to destroy it.
[1] And, behold, there
came a man of God out of Judah by the word of Yehovah
unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
[2] And he cried against the altar in the word of Yehovah,
and said, O altar, altar, thus said Yehovah; Behold,
a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon you
shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon you, and men's bones shall be burnt upon you.
[3] And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This
is the sign which Yehovah had spoken; Behold, the
altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.
[4] And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man
of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand
from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand,
which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again
to him.
[5] The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar,
according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of Yehovah
[6] And the king answered and said
unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of Yehovah your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be
restored me again. And the man of God besought Yehovah
and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.
Pss.34 [16] The face
of Yehovah is against them that do evil, to cut
off the remembrance of them from the earth.
Lam.2 [19] Arise, cry out in the night: in
the beginning of the watches pour out your heart like water before the face
of Yehovah: lift up your hands toward him for the
life of your young children, that faint for hunger in
the top of every street.
John the Baptist
Luke 1 [76] And you, child, shall be called
the prophet of the Highest: for you shall go before the face of Yehovah to prepare his ways;
The voice of Yehovah
Gen.3 [8] And they
heard the voice of Yehovah God
walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid
themselves from the presence of Yehovah God amongst
the trees of the garden.
Exod.15 [26] And said, If you will diligently
hearken to the voice of Yehovah your
God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his
commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon
you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am Yehovah
that heals you.
Deut.5 [25] Now
therefore why should we die? for this great fire will
consume us: if we hear the voice of Yehovah our
God any more, then we shall die.
Deut.8 [20] As the
nations which Yehovah destroyed before your face, so
shall you perish; because you would not be obedient unto the voice of Yehovah your God.
Deut.13 [18] When you shall hearken to the voice
of Yehovah your God, to keep all his
commandments which I command you this day, to do that which is right in the
eyes of Yehovah your God.
Deut.15 [5] Only if you
carefully hearken unto the voice of Yehovah your
God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command you this day.
Deut.18 [16] According to all that you desire
of Yehovah your God in Horeb
in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Yehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire
any more, that I die not.
Deut.26 [14] I have not eaten thereof in my
mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor
given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of Yehovah my God, and have done according to all
that you hast commanded me.
Deut.27 [10] You shall
therefore obey the voice of Yehovah your
God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day.
Deut.28 [1] And it shall come to pass, if you shall
hearken diligently unto the voice of Yehovah your
God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command you this day,
that Yehovah your God will set you on high above all
nations of the earth:
[2] And all these blessings shall come
on you, and overtake you, if you shall hearken unto the voice of Yehovah your God.
[15] But it shall come to pass, if you
will not hearken unto the voice of Yehovah your
God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you
this day; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you:
[45] Moreover all these curses shall
come upon you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till you be destroyed; because you hearken not unto the voice
of Yehovah your God, to keep his
commandments and his statutes which he commanded you:
[62] And you shall be left few in
number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because you
would not obey the voice of Yehovah your
God.
Deut.30 [8] And you shall
return and obey the voice of Yehovah, and
do all his commandments which I command you this day.
[10] If you shall hearken unto the voice
of Yehovah your God, to keep his
commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if
you turn unto Yehovah your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul.
Josh. 5
[6]
For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the
people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because
they obeyed not the voice of Yehovah:
unto whom Yehovah sware
that he would not show them the land, which Yehovah sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that
flows with milk and honey.
1 Sam.12 [15] But if you will not obey the voice
of Yehovah, but rebel against the commandment of Yehovah, then shall the hand of Yehovah
be against you, as it was against your fathers.
1 Sam.15 [19] Wherefore
then didst you not obey the voice of Yehovah,
but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of Yehovah?
[20] And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I
have obeyed the voice of Yehovah, and
have gone the way which Yehovah sent me, and have
brought Agag the king of Amalek,
and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
[22] And Samuel said,
have Yehovah as great delight in burnt offerings and
sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Yehovah?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
1 Sam.28 [18] Because you obey not the voice
of Yehovah, nor executed his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore had Yehovah
done this thing unto you this day.
1 Kgs.20 [36] Then
said he unto him, Because you hast not obeyed the voice of Yehovah, behold, as soon as you art departed from me, a
lion shall slay you. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him,
and slew him.
2 Kgs.18 [12] Because they obeyed not the voice
of Yehovah their God, but transgressed his
covenant, and all that Moses the servant of Yehovah
commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them.
Pss.29 [3] The voice
of Yehovah is upon the waters: the God of
glory thunders: Yehovah is upon many waters.
[4] The voice of Yehovah is powerful; the voice of Yehovah is full of majesty.
[5] The voice of Yehovah breaketh the
cedars; yea, Yehovah breaketh
the cedars of Lebanon.
[7] The voice of Yehovah divides the flames of fire.
[8] The voice of Yehovah shakes the wilderness; Yehovah
shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
[9] The voice of Yehovah makes the hinds to calve, and discovers the
forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
Pss.106 [25] But murmured in their tents, and
hearkened not unto the voice of Yehovah.
Isa.6 [8] Also I heard the voice of
the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will
go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

through the voice of Yehovah shall
the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.
Isa.66[6] A voice of noise from the
city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Yehovah that
renders recompense to his enemies.
Jer.3[25] We lie down in our shame,
and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned
against Yehovah our God, we and our fathers, from our
youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of Yehovah our God.
Jer.7 [28] But you shall
say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice
of Yehovah their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off
from their mouth.
Jer.26 [13] Therefore now amend your ways and
your doings, and obey the voice of Yehovah your
God; and Yehovah will repent him of the evil that he had
pronounced against you.
Jer.38 [20] But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver you. Obey, I
beseech you, the voice of Yehovah, which
I speak unto you: so it shall be well unto you, and your soul shall live.
Jer.42 [6] Whether it be good, or whether it
be evil, we will obey the voice of Yehovah our
God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice
of Yehovah our God.
[13] But if you say, We will not dwell
in this land, neither obey the voice of Yehovah your
God, [14] Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt,
where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger
of bread; and there will we dwell:
[21] And now I have this day declared
it to you; but you have not obeyed the voice of Yehovah your
God, nor any thing for the which he had sent me unto
you.
Jer.43 [4] So Johanan
the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the
forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of Yehovah,
to dwell in the land of Judah.
[7] So they came into the land of
Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of Yehovah:
thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
Jer.44 [23] Because you have burned incense,
and because you have sinned against Yehovah, and have
not obeyed the voice of Yehovah, nor
walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this
evil is happened unto you, as at this day.
Dan.9 [10] Neither
have we obeyed the voice of Yehovah our
God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
Hag.1 [12] Then Zerubbabel
the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the
people, obeyed the voice of Yehovah their
God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as Yehovah
their God had sent him, and the people did fear before Yehovah.
Zech.6 [15] And they
that are far off shall come and build in the temple of Yehovah,
and you shall know that Yehovah of hosts had sent me
unto you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice
of Yehovah your God.
