שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם
Today is January 4, 2020 – the first study of this year
January -- Janus's month
Middle English Januarie
Latin Januarius "of
Janus"
Latin Janu(s)
"Janus" + -arius
"ary (pertaining to)"
Latin Januarius mensis "month of
Janus"
Janus is the Roman
god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces
looking in opposite directions. His festival month is January. Januarius had 29 days, until
Julius when it became 31 days long.
By the way, 2020 is in the new
decade
We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar: We are now in the tenth month, Teveth טֵבֵת – day 8
Esth.2 [16] So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
Part of Dec. 2019 and Jan. 2020

Today’s
Topic:
Occupy
till He comes
Where
are we in “Time”?
As far as we can tell, the first part of scripture, the TaNaKh
was approximately 4000 years.
Roman time Dating - the
year 1:
The 1st century
Moving forward, events that we are concerned with:
The Gospels: Yeshua’s birth,
life, ministry, death and resurrection.
Then the Acts of the Apostles, the letters, and some bible
disciples might have lasted until…?
Here are some thoughts:
In the Bible we have today, there is No mention of the second Temple being destroyed.
The second temple was destroyed in approximately
70 AD – by Roman Emperor Titus
****We do not
know the date when John was banished to Patmos.
Many histories I see on the net state John’s events occurred
in the 90s, the first century, by the Roman Emperor Domitian, who was right
after Titus, they say.
Here is some confusion - Some historians and scholars claim that John died while on Patmos and others
say that he was freed from the island before his death.
****No
one is certain when or where John died
We are left with today:
There are too many varying histories on the net.
Too much time has passed.
So many pseudo Christian biases to deal with.
All we really know is - Here is John:
Patmos –
info from a few concordances: a rugged and bare island - an islet in the Mediterranean
Even though the
book of Revelation seems
separate from all the letters, still in the book of Revelation, there was No mention of the second
Temple being destroyed.
We read in Rev. 1
Moving forward again:
We remember that on October 13, 2004
that in Tiberias,
the launching of a Sanhedrin, (again was
created) the highest
Jewish-legal tribunal in the Land of Israel.
Moving forward again: The 21 century
Now it is 2020
At this point, here are some things to consider:
No new third Temple
No world peace
No world ruler (man of sin – anti-Messiah)
Simply, no one world anything
At this point, all we can do is look at Future events.
We shall occupy till He, Messiah comes
Rev.2 [25] But
that which ye have already hold fast till I, Yeshua come.
Let’s read:
John was told a similar thing just like Daniel: Seal up those things which the seven
thunders uttered, and write them not
[1] And I saw another mighty
angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his
head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
[2] And he had in his hand a little book open: and he
set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
[3] And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth:
and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
[4] And when the seven thunders had uttered
their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the
seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
[5] And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and
upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
[6] And sware by him that liveth
for
ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that
therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and
the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
[7] But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel,
when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his
servants the prophets.
Matt.13 [47] Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the
sea, and gathered of every kind:
[48] Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat
down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
[49] So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth,
and sever the wicked from among the just,
[50] And
shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing
of teeth.
[1] And Yeshua
went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew
him the buildings of the temple.
[2] And Yeshua said unto
them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto
you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be
thrown down.
[3] And as he sat upon the mount
of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things
be? and
what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?
[4] And Yeshua
answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am
Messiah; and shall deceive many.
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours
of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass,
but the end is not yet.
[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes,
in divers
places.
[8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and
shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray
one another, and shall hate one another.
[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive
many.
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many
shall wax cold.
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same
shall be saved.
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all
the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall
the end come.
[15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Let’s read Daniel:
At this point: the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end
Daniel was told - O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end
Dan.12
[1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
[2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth
shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
[3] And they that be wise shall shine
as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as
the stars for
ever and ever.
*** [4] But thou, O Daniel, shut up
the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
[5] Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other
two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side
of the bank of the river.
[6] And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was
upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be
to the end of these wonders?
[7] And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon
the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto
heaven, and sware by him that liveth
for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half;
and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the
holy people, all these things shall be
finished.
[8] And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my
Lord, what shall be the end of these
things?
[9] And he said, Go thy way, Daniel:
for the words are closed up and
sealed till the time of the end.
[10] Many shall be purified, and
made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked
shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
[11] And from the time that the daily
sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh
desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two
hundred and ninety days.
[12] Blessed is he that waiteth,
and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
[13] But go thou thy way till the end be:
for thou shalt
rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Back to Matt. 24
[16] Then let them which be
in Judaea flee into the mountains:
[17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to
take any
thing out of his house:
[18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to
take his clothes.
[19] And woe unto them that
are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
[20] But pray ye that your flight be
not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:
[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there
should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be
shortened.
[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is
Messiah, or there; believe it not.
[24] For there shall arise false Messiahs, and false
prophets, and shall shew great signs and
wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
[25] Behold, I have told you before.
[26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is
in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it
not.
[27] For as the lightning cometh
out of the east, and shineth even unto
the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[28] For wheresoever
the carcase
is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days
shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars
shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in
heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see
the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a
trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one
end of heaven to the other.
[32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch
is yet tender, and putteth forth
leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
[33] So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things,
know that it is near, even at the doors.
[34] Verily I say unto you, This
generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
[35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall
not pass away.
[36] But of that day and hour knoweth
no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
[37] But as the days of Noe
were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[38] For as in the days that were before the flood they
were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe
entered into the ark,[39] And knew not until the flood came, and took them all
away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[40] Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be
taken, and the other left.
[41] Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one
shall be taken, and the other left.
[42] Watch therefore: for ye know
not what hour your Lord doth come.
[43] But know this, that if the goodman
of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have
watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
[44] Therefore be ye also ready:
for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
[45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his
lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
[46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he
cometh shall find so doing.
[47] Verily I say unto you, That
he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
[48] But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart,
My lord delayeth
his coming;[49] And
shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
[50] The lord of that servant
shall come in a day when he looketh not for him,
and in an hour that he is not aware of,
[51] And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion
with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
All this is still to come
[1] Now we beseech you, brethren,
by the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah,
and by our gathering together unto him,[2] That ye be not soon shaken in
mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us,
as that the day of Messiah is at hand.
[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day
shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition;[4] Who opposeth
and exalteth
himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of
God, showing
himself that he is God.
Dan.11
[36] And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt
himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things
against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be
accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. [37] Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor
the desire of women, nor regard
any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
[5] Remember ye
not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
[6] And now ye know what withholdeth
that he might be revealed in his time.
[7] For the mystery of iniquity
doth already work: only he who now letteth will let,
until he be taken out of the way.
[8] And then shall that Wicked be
revealed, whom the Lord Yeshua shall consume
with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His
coming:
[9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,[10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:[12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
[13] But we are bound to give thanks alway
to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the
beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and
belief of the truth:
[14] Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the
obtaining of the glory of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
[15] Therefore, brethren, stand
fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or
our epistle.
[16] Now our Lord Yeshua
the Messiah himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath
given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
[17] Comfort your hearts, and stablish
you in every good word and work.
In closing at this point:
Remember: Daniel was told; the words are closed up and
sealed till the time of the end - shut up the words, and seal the book, even to
the time of the end.
It seems to figure, we are not at the time of the end.
Many events still have to occur. If God wants us to know any
of this, He will tell us, not the internet.
Good advice for the present: Stand fast, and hold the traditions (in Torah / TaNaK) which you have been taught. Again I say, all we can do is “occupy till He comes”!
