שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today is May 3, 2025

Latin Maius mensis "month of Maia"

Maia (meaning "the great one") is the Italic goddess of spring, the daughter of Faunus, and wife of Vulcan.

Always the same - God’s calendar – Ziv 5

This is the second of the 7 Sabbaths we were told to count

Not omers

Lev.23 [15] And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: [16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall you number fifty days…

Today’s topic

Our testimony

Our testimonies lives on after we die…

Do you love your neighbor as yourself?

Lev.19 [18] You shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people,

but you shall love thy neighbor as yourself: I am Yehovah.

Are we really following the scripture?

Here is a small list to consider of events that happened many times in scripture:

The angels that sinned

Cain

Time of Noah, the flood

Sodom and Gomorrah

Time of Lot

Balaam the son of Bosor

Korah

and others…

Our testimony lives on after we die and are told many times, consider these few verses below.

These verses are many years apart.

From Numbers to Chronicles

Num. 3 [2And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and AbihuEleazar, and Ithamar.

[4] And Nadab and Abihu died before Yehovah, when they offered strange fire before Yehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their father.

Num. 26 [60And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. [61] And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before Yehovah.

1Chr. 24 [1] Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and AbihuEleazar, and Ithamar.

[2] But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Elezar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

From Numbers 26 to Deut.11 and Psalm 106:

Deut. 11 [6] And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that was in their possession, in the midst of all Israel:

Pss.106 [17] The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.

Our testimony, the record of our short lives

What have you done so far in your life?

All the testimonies from scripture are for our admonition.

Saul tells us: - 1 Cor.10 [11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition…

Is your testimony believed?

Thes. 1 [10] When Yeshua shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day

The testimony of our Lord Yeshua

2 Tim. 1[8Be not ashamed of the testimony of our Lord Yeshua, nor of me his prisoner: but be you partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God…

The testimony of Moses

Heb. 3 [5] And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after…

The testimony of Enoch

Heb. 11[5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

The testimony of true believers

Rev. 6 [9And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held…

The testimony of the Two Witnesses

Zeck 4

[11] Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
[12] And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
[13] And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
[14] Then said he,
These are the two anointed ones, that stand by Yehovah of the whole earth.

Rev. 11

[3] And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
[4] These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
[5] And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
[6] These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

[7] And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

[8] And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
[9] And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
[10] And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
[11] And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
[12] And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

The testimony of all believers

Again - Rev. 12 [11… they overcame him, Satan by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

A few more scriptures:

Pss.19 [7] The law of Yehovah is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of Yehovah is sure, making wise the simple.

Pss.119 [88] Quicken me after thy loving kindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

Pss.132 [12] If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

Here are two chapters that repeat many events in TaNaKh:

If you can, read all of 2 Pet.2 and Jude

2 Pet.2

[4] For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

[
5] And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly

[6] And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

[7] And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

[8] (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

[
15] Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;[16] But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

[17] These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

Jude 1

[5] I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this,

how that Yehovah, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. in Torah

[6] And the angels which kept not their first estate, Isa. 14 - but left their own habitation, he had reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Rev. 12 [7] And there was war in heaven:

Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
[8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
[9] And
the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:

he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

[10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Messiah: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Again - [11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of
their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
[12] Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

So how is your testimony today?

As Saul said in the past:

2 Cor. 13 [5] Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Yeshua the Messiah is in you, except you be reprobates?

Continue on…

Pss.36 [10] O continue your loving kindness unto them that know you; and your righteousness to the upright in heart.

Heb.13 [1] Let brotherly love continue.

Jas.1 [25] But whoso lookes into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

2Tim.3 [14] But continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;

[15] And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Messiah Yeshua.
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
[17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

1Tim.4 [16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shalt both save thyself, and them that hear you.

Col.4 [1] Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

[2] Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving…

Col.1 [21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled[22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:[23] If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Rom.11 [22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness: otherwise you also shalt be cut off.

Jude 1

[24] Now unto Yeshua that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
[25] To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever
. Amen.

In closing for today,
