Welcome

Let’s pray
Today is March 30, 2013
Yehovah has His own calendar – Today is the
17th day of ha Aviv / Nisan
----------------
Today’s Topic
Darkness and Light
Passover and the Firstfruits
Death and the resurrection
Evil and Good
Sin and forgiveness
-------------------------------------------
Of all the
books in the world, I believe the Bible is the only one that has true shadows
of future events. This is proof of divine inspiration from God.
By shadows, I
mean incidences, characters and events in TaNAK that
occur in what seems to be the ordinary course of events, but which was arranged
by God Himself to be a forecast, picture
or shadow of some great spiritual fact or truth. There are many shadows of the
Messiah and future events which include the end of the world.
Only after
many years of study, prayer and fasting can once see the hidden spiritual
truths that are in Scripture.
-----------------------
Let's talk about day and night and
the seasons.
Below
I have put together a few verses to show pictures, shadows and forecasts to
show the many ways the words darkness and light are used.
Shadows of the resurrection of the Sun, Son –
Messiah
I have always
thought of the rising of the sun in the mornings as the shadow of the Messiah's
resurrection and the Sun of God arising in a
hearts.
Mal.4[2] But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness
arise with healing in his wings;
Night and
darkness with its sleep, rest, and quietness seemed to suggest symbols of
death.
The sunrise
and the awakening of the next morning are to me, a constant reminder of life
and the resurrection.
As we know,
even the winter months are symbols of death. Everything is frozen, dead, no
life.
God's New Year
in the spring is a symbol of life. Everything arises
and is born again, does that sound familiar?
------------------------
Messiah is our Passover
1Cor.5[7] …For even Messiah our
Passover is sacrificed for us:
-------------------------------------------
Messiah is the FirstFruits
1Cor.15
[23] … Messiah the firstfruits
1Cor.15
[20] But now is Messiah risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.(dead)
-------------------------------
Messiah is the resurrection
John.11[24] …[25] Yeshua said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me,
though he were dead, yet
shall he live:
-----------------------------
Messiah is the Light of this world
John.8[12] Then spake Yeshua again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John.9[5] As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
1John.1
[5] … God is light, and in
him is no darkness at all.
--------------
Out of darkness, death cometh the light, life
Gen.1[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
[2] And the earth was without form, and void;
and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
[3] And God
said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided
the light from the darkness.
[5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and
the morning were the first day. [16] And God
made two great lights;
the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light
to rule the night: he made the stars also.
[17] And God
set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, [18] And to rule over the day and over
the night, and to divide the light from the
darkness: and God saw that it was good.
1Thes.5 [5] Ye are
all the children of light, and the
children of the day: we are not of the night,
nor of darkness.
---------------------
Pictures, examples of darkness, death and life
are everywhere
We are children of Light, Life – the Resurrection
Luke.20 …[36] … and are the children of
God, being the children of the resurrection
1John.3[10] … the children of God are manifest,
and the children of the devil
John.5[29] And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
1Pet.2[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a
royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his
marvellous light:
2Pet.1
[19] We have also a more sure word of prophecy;
whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a
light that shineth in
a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts
We are
lights of this world
Matt.5[14] Ye are the light of
the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.[15]
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light
unto all at are in the house.[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they
may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Messiah
- Luke.1[79] To give light
to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into
the way of peace
Messiah - Luke.2[32]
A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy
people Israel.
Luke.11[33] No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but
on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.[34] The light of
the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of
light; but when thine eye is evil, thy
body also is full of darkness.
Which are you above?
[35] Take heed
therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.[36] If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part
dark, the whole shall be full of light,
as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
2Tim.1
[8]
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his
prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to
the power of God;[9] Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy
calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and
grace, which was given us in Messiah Yeshua before the world began,[10] But is now made manifest by
the appearing of our Saviour Yeshua Messiah, who hath
abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the
gospel
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the
Gentiles.
John.1[4] In him was life; and the life was the light
of men.[5] And the light shineth in
darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.[7] The same came for a
witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might
believe.[8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness
of that Light.[9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John.3[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil.[20]
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither
cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be
reproved.[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to
the light, that his deeds may be made manifest,
that they are wrought in God.
Messiah - John.5[35] He was a burning
and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
John.11[9] Yeshua answered, Are there not twelve hours
in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth
the light of this world.[10] But
if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because
there is no light in him.
The children of light
John.12[35] Then Yeshua said unto them, Yet a little
while is the light with you. Walk while
ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.[36] While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be
the children of light
[46] I am come a light into the world, that whosoever
believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Acts.13
Paul was sent
to be a light
[47] For so
hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee
to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation
unto the ends of the earth.
Acts.26[13] At midday, O king, I saw in the way a
light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me
and them which journeyed with me.[18] To
open their eyes, and to turn them from
darkness to light, and from the
power of Satan unto God, that
they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are
sanctified by faith that is in me.[23] That
Messiah should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from
the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and
to the Gentiles.
Jas.1[17] Every good gift and every perfect gift is
from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
1Tim.6
[16] Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which
no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
Messiah
- Matt.4[16] The people which sat in darkness
saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death
light is sprung up.
-----------------
Here
is a shadow, picture of the Messiah
Pss.72
[1] Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto
the king's son.
[2] He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with
judgment.
[3] The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little
hills, by righteousness.
[4] He shall judge the poor of the people,
he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the
oppressor.
[5] They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure,
throughout all generations.
[6] He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that
water the earth.
[7] In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
[8] He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river
unto the ends of the earth.
[9] They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his
enemies shall lick the dust.
[10] The kings of Tarshish and of the isles
shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba
shall offer gifts.
[11] Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall
serve him.
[12] For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth;
the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
[13] He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of
the needy.
[14] He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious
shall their blood be in his sight.
[15] And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of
Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be
praised.
[16] There shall be an handful of corn in the
earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like
Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
[17] His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as
long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him
blessed.
[18] Blessed be Yehovah God, the God of Israel, who only doeth
wondrous things.
[19] And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole
earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

The
Resurrection of Messiah is of utmost importance for us today
Let’s
read what Paul has said:
1Cor.15
[1] Moreover, brethren, I
declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have
received, and wherein ye stand;
[2]
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
[3] For
I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Messiah died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he
rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
[5] And that he was seen
of Cephas, then of the twelve:
[6]
After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the
greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.[7] After that, he was
seen of James; then of all the apostles.
[8]
And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
[9]
For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle,
because I persecuted the church of God.
[10]
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon
me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than
they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
[11]
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
[12] Now if Messiah be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some
among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
[13] But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Messiah
not risen:[14] And if Messiah be not risen, then is
our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
[15] Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of
God that he raised up Messiah: whom he raised not up,
if so be that the dead rise not.
[16] For if the dead rise not, then is not Messiah raised:
[17] And if Messiah be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
[18] Then they also which are fallen asleep in Messiah are perished.
[19] If in this life only we have hope in Messiah, we are of all men most
miserable.
[20] But now is Messiah risen
from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
[21] For since by man came
death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
[22]
For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive.
[23]
But every man in his own order: Messiah the firstfruits; afterward they that are Messiah's at
his coming.
[24] Then cometh the end,
when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he
shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
[25]
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
[26]
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
[27] For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith,
all things are put under him, it is manifest that he
is excepted, which did put all things under him.
[28]
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself
be subject unto him that put all things under him, that
God may be all in all.
[29] Else what shall they do which are baptized for the
dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then
baptized for the dead?
[30] And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
[31]
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Messiah Yeshua our Lord, I die
daily.
[32] If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts
at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise
not? let us eat and drink; for to
morrow we die.
[33] Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
[34] Awake to
righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to
your shame.
[35] But some man will say,
How are the dead raised up? and
with what body do they come?
[36] Thou fool, that which thou sowest
is not quickened, except it die:
[37]
And that which thou sowest, thou sowest
not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some
other grain:
[38]
But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own
body.
No
Evolution
[39] All flesh is not the
same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts,
another of fishes, and another of birds.
[40]
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies
terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the
terrestrial is another.
[41]
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory
of the stars: for one star differeth from another
star in glory.
[42]
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it
is raised in incorruption:
[43]
It is sown in dishonour;
it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is
raised in power:
[44] It is sown a natural
body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a
spiritual body.
[45] And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was
made a quickening spirit.
[46] Howbeit that was not
first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which
is spiritual.
[47] The first man is of
the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
[48]
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly,
such are they also that are heavenly.
[49] And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear
the image of the heavenly.
[50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We
shall not all sleep (be dead), but we shall all be changed,
[52]
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet
shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed.
[53]
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on
immortality.
[54]
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall
have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass
the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
[55] O death, where is thy
sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
[56]
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
[57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Yeshua
Messiah.
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast,
unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain
in the Lord.
--------------------
In the end of
this world, to the beginning again:
Rev.22 [5] And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord
God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever
and ever.
-----------------
In
closing, you can see the whole Bible is about light
and darkness, about life and death from Genesis right through Revelation.
I only displayed a few verses that show this shadow, picture.
Join us and be children of light with the resurrection of Yeshua
the Messiah.
Tomorrow we will meet at 12 o'clock and we will talk about the death
and resurrection of the Messiah in the Gospels and other places.
Shabbat shalom
See you tomorrow, Lord willing
