Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today we are still using the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s

The Gregorian calendar is the calendar used in most parts of the world today. It went into effect in October 1582 issued by Pope Gregory XIII, which introduced it as a modification of, and replacement for the Julian calendar.

We still use this calendar today in the 21th century.  L

When we looked these calendars up in the past, they said all the names they use come from their false gods or they named the month after themselves. - Review and look this up yourselves.

August 3, 2024

August - Augustus Caesar's month

Latin Augustus "Augustus"
Latin Augustus mensis "month of Augustus"
Latin sextilis mensis "sixth month"  -  today the 8th month

Sextilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Augustus Caesar clarified and completed the calendar reform of Julius Caesar.

In the process, he also renamed this month after himself.

The Julian calendar was proposed in 46 BC to the Gregorian calendar 1582 we are still useing today in the 21 century.

Look this up yourselves… Wikipedia

We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar,

we are in the fourth month of God, this 4th month has no scriptural name – day 28

The new moon is coming, the 5th month which has no scriptural name.  August 6th

Av is not the name of the 5th month as Judaism and some Messianics state, that is made up

Today’s Topic:

Prophecies

The prophecies are why we believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Word of God, God made flesh.

John said:

John 1 [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[
3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
[
4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[
5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

[15] John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
[16] And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
[17] For the law was given to Moses by God and grace and truth came by
Yeshua the Messiah, His Word.

Peter said:

2 Pet.1 [16] For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
[17] For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

[18] And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

[19] We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
[20] Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

[21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost

Messiah born of a virgin

Isa.7 [14] Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matt.1 [23] Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

A priest after order of Melchizedek or Melchisedec

מַלְכִּי־צֶדֶק Malkiy-Tsedeq {mal-kee-tseh'-dek}

Meaning:  Melchizedek = "my king is Sedek, righteous " 1) king of Salem and priest of the Most High God …

Gen.14 [18] … Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. [19] And he blessed him and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

[20] And blessed be the most high God, which had delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Pss.110
[1] Yehovah said unto my Lord (Messiah), Sit thou at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.

Matt. 22 [41] While the Pharisees were gathered together, Yeshua asked them,
[42] Saying, What think you of Messiah? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
[43] He said unto them,
How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
[44] Yehovah said unto
my Lord, (Messiah) Sit thou on my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool?
[45] If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

[46] And no man was able to answer him a word, neither does any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

Back to Pss.110

[2] Yehovah shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of your enemies.
[3] Thy people shall be willing in the day of your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of your youth.

[4] Yehovah had sworn, and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

[5] The Lord at your right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
[6] He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

Gen. 14:18-20...A priest after Melchizedek or Melchisedec...Ps. 110:4 - Heb. 5:10, Heb. 6:17-20, Heb. 7

Messiah was to come to the second Temple

Mal.3

[1] Behold, I will send my messenger,(John the Baptist) and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord (Messiah), whom you seek, shall suddenly come to this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, he shall come, said Yehovah of hosts.

Luke 7 [24] And when the messengers of John were departed, Yeshua  began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went you out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
[25] But what went you out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
[26] But what went you out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

[27] This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

[28] For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist:

but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. (at that time)

Again, Messiah was to come to the second Temple

Hag.2

[1] In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of Yehovah by the prophet Haggai, saying,
[2] Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
[3] Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do you see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

[4] Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, said Yehovah; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, said Yehovah, and work: for I am with you, said Yehovah of hosts:
[5] According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear you not.
[6] For thus said Yehovah of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

Messiah
[7] And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, said Yehovah of hosts.
[8] The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, said Yehovahof hosts.
[9] The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, said Yehovah of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, said Yehovah of hosts.

Heb. 5 [5] So also Messiah glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, You are my Son, to day have I begotten you.

Pss.2 [7] I will declare the decree: Yehovah had said unto me, you are my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Back to Heb. 5

[6] As he saith also in another place (in Psalms) You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

[7] Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
[8] Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
[9] And being made perfect, he became
the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;[10] Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Heb. 6 [16] For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
[17] Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
[18] That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
[19] Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
[20] Whither the forerunner is for us entered,
even Jesus /Yeshua  made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Heb.7 [1] For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
[2] To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

[3] Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

[4] Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

[5] And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
[6] But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
[7] And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
[8] And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
[9] And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
[10] For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
[11] If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

[12] For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

[13] For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
[14] For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
[15] And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

[16] Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
[17] For he testified, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

[18] For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
[19] For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
[20] And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
[21] (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, Yehovah swore and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

[22] By so much was Yeshua / Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
[23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
[24] But this man, because he continues for ever, had an unchangeable priesthood.

[25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

[26] For such an high priest, He became for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
[27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

[28] For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Meaning:  1) almighty, most powerful 1a) Shaddai, the Almighty (of God)

Isa.9 [6] For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and

His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

[7] Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of Yehovah of hosts will perform this

I, Yeshua, and my Father and the Spirit of God are one.

In closing for today,

There are hundreds of prophecies in the TaNak to prove who was  the Messiah

Above was just a few prophecies fulfilled in Yeshua the Messiah. Just think, this is just a few J

Pss.2 [12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Be safe out there, and may God bless you all today and forever
