The feasts of the LORD
not the feasts of Israel, the Jews or Moses, nor pope Greg. in the 1500's
August 26th, 2006
We are now in the 6th month. No name in scripture. ( end of August / September ).
Friday nite, the 25th of August - New moon 3% , 6th month ( Elul ? )
This is the only verse in scripture with the name Elul: Neh.6 [ 15 ] So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul , in fifty and two days. ( does not say the sixth month )
1Chr.27[ 9] The sixth captain for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
Ezek.8[
1] And it came to pass in the
sixth year, in the sixth month
, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the
elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon
me.[2] Then I beheld, and lo
a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even
downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness,
as the colour of amber.[3] And
he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the
spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the
visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward
the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to
jealousy.[4] And, behold, the
glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in
the plain.[5] Then said he unto
me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted
up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of
the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.[6
] He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou
what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth
here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again,
and thou shalt see greater abominations.[7
] And he brought me to the door of the court; and when
I looked, behold a hole in the wall.[8
] Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when
I had digged in the wall, behold a door.[9
] And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations
that they do here.[10] So I
went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts,
and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.[
11] And there stood before them
seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them
stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand;
and a thick cloud of incense went up.[12
] Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients
of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery?
for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.[
13] He said also unto me, Turn
thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.[
14] Then he brought me to the
door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold,
there sat women weeping for Tammuz.[15
] Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn
thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
[16] And he brought me into
the inner court of the LORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple
of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men,
with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the
east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.[17
] Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son
of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations
which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have
returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.[
18] Therefore will I also deal
in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they
cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
Hag.1[
1] In the second year of Darius
the king, in the sixth month,
in the first day of the month, came the word of the
LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of
Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying, [
2] Thus speaketh the LORD of
hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's
house should be built.[3] Then
came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
[4] Is it time for you, O ye,
to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?[
5] Now therefore thus saith the LORD
of hosts; Consider your ways.
[6] Ye have sown much, and bring
in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled
with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages
earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.[7
] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.[
8] Go up to the mountain, and
bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will
be glorified, saith the LORD.[9
] Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye
brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because
of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.[
10] Therefore the heaven over
you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.[
11] And I called for a drought upon
the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine,
and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men,
and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
[12] Then Zerubbabel the son
of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the
remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words
of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did
fear before the LORD.[13] Then
spake Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying,
I am with you, saith the LORD.[14
] And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of
Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech,
the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they
came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,[
15] In the four and twentieth day
of the sixth month
, in the second year of Darius the king.
Watch out for false, made up feasts.
Exod.32:5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.
1Kgs.12[32] And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.
[33] So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month , even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

So you see, rabbis are wrong saying you
can fast or do good deeds for the day of atonement. You need the "BLOOD".
Thank God for the Blood of
Messiah Yeshua.

Feast of tabernacles
Feast of Tabernacles / Ingathering / Succoth - Tabernacling
with Messiah forever, celebrating the harvest of the righteousness. Sukkot
is a picture of the Kingdom where we will dwell with Messiah.
The Feast of Tabernacles is known by several other names,
some are not from the scriptures:
The Feast of Sukkot or Booths, since God commanded the Hebrews
to live in temporary shelters for the seven days of the feast.
The Festival of Ingathering, since according to Lev. 23:39
it was to occur after the crops had been gathered. There was an agricultural
component to this feast.
The Season of Our Joy--in contrast to the somber days of Blowing
of Trumpets and Yom Kippur, Tabernacles was a time of great joy and celebration.
The Feast of Nations- ( this is a made up title ) but
Zechariah 14:16-18 indicates
that this is the one feast that will be celebrated by the nations, at the end.
The Festival of Dedication--according to I Kings 3, King Solomon
dedicated the temple during the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Festival of Lights - ( this is a made up title ) one "tradition"
associated with this feast was the illumination of the Temple, thus the feast
came to be called the Festival of Lights. Real meaning, Yeshua is the LIGHT
of this World!
The Feast - ( a made up title ) they say the joy of Sukkot
was so great that it simply came to be known as the feast.

Lev. 23
[33] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
[37] These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim
to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a
burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every
thing upon his day:
[39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when
ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD
seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall
be a sabbath.
[40] And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of
goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows
of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
Num. 29
[17] And on the second day
ye shall offer
twelve young
bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first
year without spot:
[35] On the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly
[36] But ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a
sweet savour unto the LORD: one bullock
, one ram, seven lambs of the first year without blemish:
Neh.8[1
] And all the people gathered themselves together as
one man into the street that was before the water gate; and
they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law
of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
Mal.4[
4] Remember
ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto
him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Yeshua preached from :
Luke.24[
44] And he said unto them, These
are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things
must be fulfilled, which were written in the
law of Moses, and in the prophets,
and in the psalms, concerning me.
Paul preached from :
Acts.28[
23] And when they had appointed
him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and
testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out
of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets
, from morning till evening.
Neh.8[3
] And he read therein before the street that was before
the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women,
and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive
unto the book of the law.
[18] Also day by day, from the first day unto
the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast
seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the
manner.
Shalom, more to come
next week........
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning
the feasts of the LORD, which
ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these
are my feasts.
[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day
is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it
is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
[3] And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth
deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram,
[4] And one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:
[5] And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an
atonement for you:
[6] Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the
daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according
unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
[24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month,
in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath,
a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
[25] Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall
offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
[27] Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there
shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation
unto you; and ye shall afflict
your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
[29] For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be
afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
[30] And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day,
the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
[31] Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute
for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[32] It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls:
in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate
your sabbath.
[7] And ye shall have on the
tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall
afflict your souls:
ye shall not do any work therein:
[8] But ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD for a sweet savour; one
young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year; they shall be unto
you without blemish:
[9] And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth
deals to a bullock, and two tenth deals to one ram,
[10] A several tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:
[11] One kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the sin offering of
atonement, and the continual
burnt offering, and the meat offering of it, and their drink offerings.
[2] And the LORD said unto Moses,
Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place
within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not:
for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
[3] Thus shall Aaron come into
the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt
offering.
[4] He shall put on the holy
linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall
be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired:
these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so
put them on.
[5] And he shall take of the
congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering,
and one ram for a burnt offering.
[6] And Aaron shall offer his
bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an
atonement for himself, and for his
house.
[7] And he shall take the two
goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation.
[8] And Aaron shall cast lots
upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
[9] And Aaron shall bring the
goat upon which the LORD's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
[10] But the goat, on which
the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD,
to make an atonement with him,
and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
[11] And Aaron shall bring the
bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an
atonement for himself, and for
his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:
[12] And he shall take a censer
full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands
full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:
[13] And he shall put the incense
upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the
mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
[14] And
he shall take of the
blood of the bullock,
and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat
eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the
blood with his finger seven times.
[15] Then shall he kill the
goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring
his blood within the vail, and do with
that blood as he did with the
blood of the bullock,
and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the
mercy seat:
[16]
And he shall make an atonement
for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children
of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall
he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in
the midst of their uncleanness.
[17] And there shall be no man
in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an
atonement in the holy place, until
he come out, and have made an atonement
for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation
of Israel.
[18] And he shall go out unto
the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement
for it; and shall take of the
blood of the bullock, and of the
blood of the goat, and put it
upon the horns of the altar round about.
[19] And he shall sprinkle of
the blood upon it with his finger
seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children
of Israel.
[20] And when he hath made an
end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation,
and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:
[21] And Aaron shall lay both
his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities
of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins,
putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand
of a fit man into the wilderness:
[22] And the goat shall bear
upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go
the goat in the wilderness.
[23] And Aaron shall come into
the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which
he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:
[24] And he shall wash his flesh
with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and
offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an
atonement for himself, and for
the people.
[25] And the fat of the sin
offering shall he burn upon the altar.
[26] And he that let go the
goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water,
and afterward come into the camp.
[27] And the bullock for the
sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose
blood was brought
in to make atonement
in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp;
and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
[28] And he that burneth them
shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall
come into the camp.
[29] And this shall be a statute
for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month,
ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your
own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
[30] For on that day shall the priest make an atonement
for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the
LORD.
[31] It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls,
by a statute for ever.
[32]
And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister
in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the
atonement, and shall put on the linen
clothes, even the holy garments:
[33] And he shall make an
atonement for the holy sanctuary,
and he shall make an atonement
for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and
he shall make an atonement for
the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.
[34] And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you,
to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year.
And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The
fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven
days unto the LORD.
[35] On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile
work therein.
[36] Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by
fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering
made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile
work therein.
[38] Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all
your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
[41] And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven
days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall
celebrate it in the seventh month.
[42] Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are
Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
[43] That your generations may know that I made the
children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land
of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.
[12] And on the fifteenth day
of the seventh month ye shall have an holy convocation;
ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven
days:
[13] And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet
savour unto the LORD; thirteen young bullocks
, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they
shall be without blemish:
[14] And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth
deals unto every bullock of the thirteen bullocks, two tenth deals to each
ram of the two rams,
[15] And a several tenth deal to each lamb of the fourteen lambs:
[16] And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt
offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.
[18] And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for
the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the
manner:
[19] And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt
offering, and the meat offering thereof, and their drink offerings.
[20] And on the third day eleven
bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without
blemish;
[21] And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for
the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the
manner:

and his meat offering, and his drink offering.
[23] And on the fourth day ten
bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without
blemish:
[24] Their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the
rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:
[25] And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt
offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.
[26] And on the fifth day nine

[29] And on the sixth day eight

[37] Their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullock, for the

[38] And one goat for a sin offering
; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering,
and his drink offering.[39] These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your
set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings,
and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace
offerings.[40] And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that
the LORD commanded Moses.
[2]
And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and
women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the
seventh month.
[4] And Ezra the scribe stood
upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him
stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah,
on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah,
and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
[5] And Ezra opened the book
in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when
he opened it, all the people stood up:
[6] And Ezra blessed the LORD,
the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their
hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces
to the ground.
[7] Also Jeshua, and Bani, and
Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad,
Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and
the people stood in their place.
[8] So they read in the book
in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand
the reading.
[9] And Nehemiah, which is the
Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the
people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God;
mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of
the law.
[10] Then he said unto them,
Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them
for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be
ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
[11] So the Levites stilled
all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye
grieved.
[12] And all the people went
their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth,
because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.
[13] And on the second day were
gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests,
and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the
law.
[14] And they found written in the law which the LORD
had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths
in the feast of the seventh month:
[15] And that they should publish and proclaim in
all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch
olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches,
and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.
[16]
So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every
one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the
house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the
gate of Ephraim.
[17] And all the congregation of them that were come
again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for
since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day
had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
