 Requirements

 to Please Yehovah

Some things God remembers:

Gen.8[1]

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark:

and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

[2] The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

[3] And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

[4] And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

[5] And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

Gen.9[11]

And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

[12] And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

[13] I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

[14] And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

[15And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

[16] And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

[17] And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

Gen.30[22]

And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

Exod.2[23]

And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

[24] And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

[25] And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

Exod.6[5]

And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

[6] Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am Yehovah, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

[7] And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that

I am Yehovah your God,

which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

[8] And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for an heritage: I am Yehovah.

Exod.13[3]

And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage;

for by strength of hand Yehovah brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

[4] This day came ye out in the month Abib / ha Aviv.

What does Yehovah your God require of you?

Keep his commandments and ordinances

10 commandments are in Exodus 20 and Deut. 5

The Ordinances are in Lev. 18-20 along with their    judgments

The Food Laws are in Lev. 11

The appointed Days and Feasts (Holy days) are in

Lev. 23

The 10 Commandments

Exodus 20:

[1] And God spoke all these words, saying,

[2] I am Yehovah your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

#1.  You shall have no other gods before me.

#2.  You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I Yehovah your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

#3.  You shall not take the name of Yehovah your God in vain; for Yehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

#4.  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shally you labour, and do all your work:

But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah your God: in it You shall not do any work, You, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates.

For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

#5.  Honour your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which Yehovah your God giveth you.

  #6.  You shall not kill.

#7.  You shall not commit adultery.

  #8.  You shall not steal.

#9.  You shall not bear false witness against your  neighbour.

#10.  You shall not covet your neighbour's house, You shall not covet your neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbour's.

The Ordinances of God:

There are many ordinances in Lev 18-20 but we will just look at a few samples

Lev 18:[5]

You shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them:

I am Yehovah

[6] None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness:

I am Yehovah

[22] You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Lev 19[15]

You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: You shall not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbour.

[16] You shall not go up and down as a talebearer among your people:

[17] You shall not hate your brother in thine heart: You shall in any wise rebuke your neighbour, and not suffer (allow) sin upon him.

[18] You shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but You shall love your neighbour as yourself:

I am Yehovah.

[19] You shall keep my statutes.

You shall not let your cattle gender with a diverse kind: You shall not sow your field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon you.

Lev. 20[13]

You shall not defraud your neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with you all night until the morning.

[14] You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shall fear your God:

I am Yehovah.

Food Laws:

Lev 11:[1]

And Yehovah spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,

[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

[3] Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

[9] These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

Also describes what Fowls and can’t eat

and creeping things you can’t eat.

Lev 20:[25]

You shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

Feasts and Appointed Days:

Lev.23[1]

And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations,

even these are My Feasts.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.

and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?

[14] Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is Yehovah's your God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

[15] Only Yehovah had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
