THE TEXT
THE TANAË (Pre-Messianic Scriptures, commonly called The Old Testament)
The Tana¿
in this translation is based on the Massoretic
Hebrew and Aramaic text of the Scriptures, printed in the 1937 edition of Rudolph Kittel's
Biblia Hebraica.
This is based on the ben Asher text of Leningrad, B 19a. What text then were we to use? Since the originals are no longer
extant, there was
no
alternative but to make use of the existing Greek manuscripts, carefully
considering the additional testimony of Semitic texts such as the Peshitta (Aramaic), the
Shem ToÄ (Hebrew), etc.
Even
here, however there are problems, in that for each of the main streams of
textual types (e.g. Byzantine / Textus
Receptus vs. Alexandrinus, Sinaiticus, and Vaticanus) there are those who contend that a
particular type and that one alone represents
the true original.
We determined
however, not to become embroiled in such controversies, since
our position advocates a Semitic original, true to the Tana¿ / Old Testament.
Hence whatever
readings we have adopted will inevitably offend those contending for any one of
the main textual types as the true original.
We
cannot therefore claim that our text represents a translation of any particular
underlying text.
As a modus operandi
then, we have started out using the Textus
Receptus, modifyingour rendering as seemed
appropriate in light of those other texts which we consulted, such as the Nestle-Aland text and the Shem ToÄ text, noting certain differences
in the footnotes, where necessary.
All Nestle-Aland text,Shem
ToÄ text, Alexandrinus, Sinaiticus, Vaticanus,
Hebrew ben Asher text of Leningrad, B 19a are
corrupt used in all the corrupt versions of the bible, as the NIV...

Who translated "The Scriptures"?

"The
Scriptures" were originally translated by Dr. C.J. Koster, with the
aid and support of other scholars and textual experts from both Jewish and
non-Jewish backgrounds in different parts of the world.

By forming
the ISR, he enabled the work of the ISR to continue, even after his death.

Dr. Koster
passed away on 4 May 1995, deeply
missed by all who knew him and also by so many who “knew” him only through the
work of the ISR that he founded. This work continues, as he intended, with the
board of directors now overseeing the on-going work of
translation and revision.

Is the work of translating “The
Scriptures” now complete?

We believe
that, by its very nature, the work of translating and improving the translation
can never truly be said to be complete.

Though we strive
for perfection we do not claim that the translation is perfect. Far from it.

This is why we
have adopted the unique approach of asking public participation in its
improvement.

CJ Koster's
Come Out of Her My People
Koster wrote a book called "Come out of her my people" which is heavily promoted within HR. In Koster's book, it was stated that
all things that Christians believe originated from paganism, including the words Lord, God, Jesus, etc.
He did not believe that Jesus was divine, thereby
denying His Deity, and therefore denying Him as the Christ.
Mr. Koster
also taught that the Name of Jesus was the same as zeus, which many HR associates also claim, and are also just as wrong.
Koster is the one known
translator for the ISR -The Scriptures--a 'bible' used by many within HR. If
the same doctrine is found within both books-what are the odds that readers who
proclaim them as good---also
agree with Kosters theology.

The
ISR98 omits the reference to the Messiah's Deity [Theos/God] from
1 Timothy 3:16
(KJV) And without
controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified
in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the
world, received up into glory.
Listen to this mess - (The Scriptures 1998+) And, beyond all question, the secret of reverence is great – who was revealed in the flesh, declared right in Spirit, was seen
by messengers, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was
taken up in esteem.
In Colossians 2:9, the ISR appears to have switched to the
corrupt Alexandrian text, which is what the Westcott and Hort,
Nestle Aland and other base texts are and which most new corrupt Bible
translations are based on.

(KJV) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Where is the Godhead bodily?
