Today we are still using the Gregorian
calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s
The Gregorian calendar is
the calendar used in most
parts of the world today.
It went into effect
in October 1582 issued by Pope
Gregory XIII, which introduced
it as a modification of, and replacement for the Julian calendar.
We still use this calendar today in the 21 century. L
July 20, 2024
July - Julius Caesar's month
Middle English Julie
Latin Julius "Julius"
Latin Julius mensis
"month of Julius"
Latin quintilis mensis
"fifth
month" – today the 7th month
Quintilis (and later Julius) has always had 31 days.
Julius Caesar reformed the Roman calendar (hence the Julian calendar)
in 46 BC. In the process, he renamed
this month after himself.
We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar,
we are in the fourth month of God, this 4th month
has no scriptural name – day 14
for God’s months go to https://oneinmessiah.net/CalendarMonthsOfGod.htm
Tammuz is not the name of the 4th month as Judaism and some Messianics state - Tammuz is a false God…
Talmud
- Sabbath 129a - Tammuz is the fourth month
of the year, corresponding to about July. Wrong…

Today is the 4th
commandment, the Sabbath.
Sabbath is not a Jewish tradition.
Here in Genesis 2:2,3 there were no Jews nor Israel at that time.
Gen.2 [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
In the
10 commandments in Exod. 20 or Deut. 5, the Sabbath is the 4th
commandment.
Exodus
20: 8-11 Remember the sabbath day,
to keep it holy.
God's Sabbath starts Friday night at sunset (evening) and ends on Saturday night at sunset. (evening)
Lev.23 [32] … from even unto even, shall you celebrate your sabbath.
Isa.58
[13] If you turn away your foot from the sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honorable; and shall honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
[14] Then shall you delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah had spoken it.
Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an "holy convocation"; you shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.
Dwelling מושׁב
môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, your situation, location, (at) time of dwelling
The Sabbath is a "holy convocation"
מקרא miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting, also a rehearsal
קדשׁ Kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, holiness
Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath
Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem. (they were not with God at this time)
[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that you do, and profane the Sabbath day?
Today’s Topic:
Shadows of "things
to come"
a long
sound of a trumpet, a shout, people ascend up
Psalms 47:5 God is gone up with a shout , Yehovah with
the sound of a trumpet .
1Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself
shall descend from heaven with a shout , with
the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God :
and the dead in Christ / Messiah shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall
be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another
with these words.
A picture of the end:
Joshua 6
1 Now Jericho was straitly shut up
because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
2 And Yehovah said unto Joshua, See,
I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king
thereof, and the mighty men of valour.
3 And you shall compass the city, all you men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt you do
six days.
4 And seven priests shall bear before
the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns : and
the seventh day you shall compass the
city seven times, and the priests shall blow
with the trumpets.
5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make
a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet , all the people
shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down
flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight
before him.
6 And
Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests
bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of Yehovah
7 And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city,
and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of Yehovah
8 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people,
that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed
on before Yehovah, and blew with the
trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of Yehovah
followed them.
9 And the armed men went before the priests that blew
with the trumpets , and
the rereward came after the ark, the priests going
on, and blowing with the trumpets .
10 And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, You shall not
shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out
of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout ; then
shall you shout.
11 So the ark of Yehovah compassed
the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the
camp.
12 And Joshua rose early in the morning and
the priests took up the ark of Yehovah
13 And seven priests
bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before
the ark of Yehovah went on continually, and blew
with the trumpets: and
the armed men went before them; but the rereward came
after the ark of Yehovah, the priests going on, and
blowing with the trumpets.
14 And the second day they compassed the city once, and
returned into the camp: so they did six
days.
15 And it came to pass on the seventh
day , that they rose early about the
dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven
times : only on that day they
compassed the city seven times.
16 And it came to pass at the seventh
time , when
the priests blew with the trumpets , Joshua said unto the
people, Shout; for Yehovah hath given you the
city.
17 And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are
therein, to Yehovah: only Rahab
the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she
hid the messengers that we sent.
18 And you, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed
thing, lest you make yourselves accursed, when you take of the accursed thing,
and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.
19 But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron,
are consecrated unto Yehovah: they shall come into
the treasury of Yehovah
20 So the people shouted when the priests blew
with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of
the trumpet , and
the people shouted with a great shout , that the wall
fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every
man straight before him, and they took the city.
21 And they utterly
destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and
ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword. (sinners lost)
22 But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the
country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out thence the woman, and all
that she had, as you sware unto her.
23 And the young men that were spies went in, and brought Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren,
and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them
without the camp of Israel.
24 And they
burnt the city with fire, and
all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of
brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of Yehovah
25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot
alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the
messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
Matthew 24:
29 Immediately after the tribulation of
those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be
shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign
of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the
earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound
of a trumpet , and
they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of
heaven to the other.
Revelation 8:2 And I saw the seven
angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the
seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound , the mystery of God should
be finished , as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Life is one big journey to us, beware of sin!
Is the God of Israel with you? Are you keeping His commandments?
Are you meeting God on His appointed times, His congregations,
assemblies, seasons, feasts, solemnities, with His people?
Most of the world is all doing
the wrong feasts, going to the wrong assemblies, meeting with the wrong people
and gods.
Here are the feasts of Yehovah
[1] And the LORD / Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD / Yehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations,
even these are my feasts.
[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath
of rest, an holy convocation; you
shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the
LORD / Yehovah in all your dwellings.
[4] These are the
feasts of the LORD / Yehovah even holy convocations, which you shall
proclaim in their seasons.
Read the whole chapter later…
After reading the Bible for many years, we came to understand that
the feasts of God are all about Messiah’s first and second comings.
We can explain later.
Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits,
Feast of Weeks - Pentecost are in the NT / gospels and letters.
Yeshua, the
apostles and Saul /Paul all observed the 3 feasts and holy days.
In the NT / gospels and
letters:
3
matches for the Feasts of
weeks – Pentecost
So why doesn’t any Protestant church or Catholic Church keep the
feasts of God?
We know why the Catholic Church doesn’t keep the fourth commandment,
the Sabbath
read this website and you’ll know why also - Catholics
confess (oneinmessiah.net) just press control and click on it.
The vast majority of Christian churches today teach the observance
of Sunday, the first day of the week, as a time for rest and worship.
Yet it is generally known and
freely admitted that the early Christians observed the seventh day as the
Sabbath.
How did this change come about?
History reveals that the Roman Catholic
Church changed the Sabbath to the first day of the week.
They all frankly admit that there is no Biblical authority for a
first-day
All you have to do is read the 10 Commandments in Exodus 20 or
Deuteronomy 5 and you see the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week.
In
closing for today,
Life is one big journey
with good times and sad times, beware of sin.
Fear God and Keep His
commandments which are our duties to do!
Ecc.12 [13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
[14] For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every
secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be
evil.
Be safe
out there, and may God bless you all today and forever
