First fruits - Messiah rose from the dead

[23] … Messiah the first fruits…

"The last day of the feast of unleavened bread”

The first day and the seventh day you shall have holy convocations

Messiah the first fruits

Let’s read

1 Cor.15

[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand;
[2] By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.

[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Messiah died for our sins according to the scriptures;

[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

[5] And that Messiah was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
[6] After that, Messiah was seen of above five hundred brethren at once;
of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. All now are asleep

[7] After that, Messiah was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
[8] And last of all Messiah was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

[9] For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
[10] But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
[11] Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.

[12Now if Messiah be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

[13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Messiah not risen:
[14And if Messiah be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

[15] Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God the Father, that He rose up Messiah: whom he rose not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

[16] For if the dead rise not, then is not Messiah raised:
[17] And if Messiah be not raised, your faith is vain;
you are yet in your sins.

[18] Then they also which are fallen asleep in Messiah are perished.
[19] If in this life only we have hope in Messiah, we are of all men most miserable.

[20] But now is Messiah rose from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.

[21] For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

[22] For as in Adam all die,

even so in Messiah shall all be made alive.

[23] But every man in his own order: Messiah the first fruits; afterward they that are Messiah's at his coming.

[24] Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
[25] For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
[26]
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

[27] For he had put all things under his feet. But when he said, all things are put under him; it is manifest that he is accepted, which did put all things under him.
[28] And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him that God may be all in all.

[29] Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? Why are they then baptized for the dead?

[30] And why stand us in jeopardy every hour?

[31] I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Messiah Yeshua our Lord, I die daily.

[32] If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantages it me, if the dead rise not? Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.

[33] Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

[34] Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
[35] But some man will say
, how are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?

[36] You fool, that which you sow is not quickened, except it die:
[37] And that which you sow, you sow not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
[38] But God gives it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
[39] All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

[40] There are also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

[41] There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory.

[42] So also is the resurrection of the dead.

It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
[43] It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

[44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.

There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

[45] And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

[46] Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

[47] The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

[48] As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

[49] And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

[50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

[51] Behold, I show you a mystery;

We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

[52] In a moment,

in the twinkling of an eye,

at the last trump:

for the trumpet shall sound,

and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,

and we shall be changed.

[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

[54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, and then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

[56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

[57] But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Some verses pertaining to Messiah that He was raised from the dead

Acts.4 – Peter

[1] And as they spoke unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
[2
] Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Yeshua the resurrection from the dead.

[3] And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

[4] Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

[5] And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
[6] And
Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

[7] And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have you done this?

[8] Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them,

You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

[9] If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

[10] Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel,

that by the name of Yeshua the Messiah of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

[11] This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

[12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Rom.6

[3Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Yeshua the Messiah were baptized into his death?
[4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as
Messiah Yeshua was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His, Yeshua death, we shall be also in the likeness of His, Yeshua’s resurrection:
[6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
[7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.
[8] Now if we be dead with
Messiah, we believe that we shall also live with him:

[9] Knowing that Messiah being raised from the dead dies no more; death hath no more dominion over Him.

[10] For in that He died, he died unto sin once: but in that He lives, He lives unto God.

Rom.7

[4] Wherefore, my brethren and sisters, you also are become dead to the law by the body of Messiah; that you should be married to another, even to Him, Yeshua who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Rom.8 [11] … if the Spirit of him, the Father that raised up Yeshua from the dead dwell in you, he, the Father that raised up Messiah from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.

Gal.1

[1] Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Yeshua the Messiahand God the Father, who raised him from the dead…

Eph.1 [15]

…I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Yeshua, and love unto all the saints,[16] Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
[17] That
the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiahthe Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:

[18] The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
[19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
[20] Which
He, the Father wrought in Messiah, when He, the Father raised Him, Yeshua from the dead, and set Yeshua at His, the Father’s own right hand in the heavenly places,
[21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

[22] And had put all things under His, Yeshua’s feet, and gave him, Yeshua to be the head over all things to the church,

[23] Which is His body, the fullness of Him, Yeshua that fills all in all.

2Tim.2

The resurrection - Children of the resurrection

Job told us:

Job 14 [7] For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

[8] Though the root there of wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

[9] Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

[10] But man dies, and wastes away: yea, man gives up the ghost, and where is he?

[11] As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decay and dry up:

[12] So man lies down, and rises not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

[13] O that you would hide me in the grave, that you would keep me secret, until your wrath be past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me!

[14] If a man die shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Our dead bodies will be raised up at the “last day” incorruptible

John 6

[39] And this is the Father's will which had sent me, that of all which he had given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. [40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[44] No man can come to me, except the Father which had sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[54] Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, had eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 11

[24] Martha said unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

[25] Yeshua said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

[26] And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die.

Believe this? YES

Ecc.12

[7Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: (until the last day) and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Luke 14

[12] Then said he also to him that bade him, When you make a dinner or a supper, call not your friends, nor your brethren, neither your kinsmen, nor your rich neighbors; lest they also bid you again, and a recompense be made you.
[13] But when you make a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind
:
[14] And you shall be blessed; for they cannot recompense you: for you shall be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

Acts 1

[21] Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Yeshua went in and out among us,
[22] Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us,
must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

[23] And they appointed two Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
[24] And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, which knows the hearts of all men, show whether of these two you have chosen
,
[25] That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
[26] And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Acts 2

[29] Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day.
[30] Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne
;
[31He seeing this before
spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
[32] This
Yeshua had God rose up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Pss. 132

[11Yehovah had sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of your body will I set upon your throne.

Pss. 16 [10For you will not leave my soul (spirit) in hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption.

Acts 4

[1] And as they spoke unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
[2] Being grieved that
they taught the people, and preached through Yeshua the resurrection from the dead.

[33] And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Yeshua: and great grace was upon them all.

Acts 23

[6]… when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

Acts 24

[10]… Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that you have been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
[11] Because that you may understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
[12] And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
[13] Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.

[14] But this I confess unto you, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
[15] And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow,
that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Dan.12

[2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

1 Peter 3 - the spirits in prison, hell

[17] For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
[18] For Messiah also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
[19] By which also he went and preached unto
the spirits in prison; (hell)
[20] Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
[21] The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of
Yeshua the Messiah:
[22] Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Paul says:

Phil.3

[10] That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; [11] If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

1 Pet.1

[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, which according to his abundant mercy had begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah from the dead, [4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,
[5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

[21] The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting g away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah

2 Tim.2 [16]

But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.[17] And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;[18] Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

Acts 23

[8] For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.

Acts 17

[18] Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him, Saul. And some said, what will this babbler say? other some, He seems to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Yeshua, and the resurrection.

[32] And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, we will hear you again of this matter.

Lev.23

[9] …Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[10] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When you be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest:
[11] And he shall wave the sheaf before Yehovah, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.

[12] And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto Yehovah.
[13] And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto
Yehovah for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
[14] And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that you have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

[
15] And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
[16
] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

In closing for today:

Next Saturday is the first Sabbath we shall count

Exod.34 [22] And you shall observe the feast of weeks, of the first fruits of wheat harvest…
