Today we use the Gregorian calendar (From Pope Gregory, from the 1500's)
Today is March 22, 2025
March - Mars' month
Middle
English March
Latin Martius "of Mars"
Latin Martius mensis "month
of Mars"
Martius has always had 31 days.
March was the original beginning of the year,
and the time for the resumption of war.
Mars is the Roman god of war. He is identified with the Greek god Ares.
Yehovah has His own calendar: We are now in the 12th month, Adar, day 21
Adar = "glorious"
1) Twelfth month, corresponding to modern March or April
The second Temple
Ezra.6 [14] And the elders of the Jews builded and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo.
And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel,
and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
[15] And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
Esth.3 [7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar…
Today’s Topic
The
Commandments of God
Matt.5 [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the
prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
[18] For verily I say unto you, until heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, until all be fulfilled.
[19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he
shall be called the least (by them)
in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall
be called great (by them) in the
kingdom of heaven.

Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto
them, I am Yehovah your God.
[3] After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein
ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither
I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
[4] Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine
ordinances, to walk therein: I am Yehovah your God.
[5] Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my
judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I
am Yehovah.

[1] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah,
which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath
of rest, an holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath
of Yehovah
in all your dwellings.
[4] These are the
feasts of Yehovah,
even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.
[5] In the
fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yehovah's
Passover.
[6] And on the fifteenth day of
the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto Yehovah:
seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
[7] In the first day
you shall have an holy convocation: you shall
do no servile work therein.
in the seventh day is an holy convocation:
you shall do no servile work therein.
the firstfruits
[9] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[10] Speak unto the children of Israel,
and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and
shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits
of your harvest unto the priest:
Feast of Weeks – feast
of harvest - Pentecost
– a sabbath
[15] And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the
Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven
Sabbaths shall be complete:
[16] Even unto the morrow after the
seventh Sabbath shall you number fifty
days; and you shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.
[20] And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before Yehovah, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to Yehovah for the priest.
[21] And you shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it
may be an
holy convocation unto you: you shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a
statute for
ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
[24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have
a sabbath,
a memorial of blowing of
trumpets, an
holy convocation.
[25] You shall do no servile work therein: but you shall offer an
offering made by fire unto Yehovah.
[26] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[27] Also on the tenth day of
this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering
made by fire unto Yehovah.
[28] And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of
atonement, to make an atonement for you before Yehovah
your God.
[29] For whatsoever soul it be that shall
not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
[30] And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that
same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
[31] You shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever
throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[32] It shall be unto you a Sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls:
in the ninth day of the month at even, from
even unto even, shall you celebrate your Sabbath.
[33] And Yehovah
spake
unto Moses, saying,
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles - feast of
ingathering for
seven days unto Yehovah.
[35] On the first
day shall be an
holy convocation: you shall do no servile work therein.
[36] Seven days
you shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah:
on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you
[39] Also in the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of
the land, you shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven
days:
on the
first day shall be a sabbath, and on
the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
[40] And you shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm
trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall
rejoice before Yehovah your God seven days.
[41] And you shall keep it a feast unto Yehovah
seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever
in your generations: you shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
[42] You shall dwell in booths
seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
[43] That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel
to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah
your God.
Lev.26
[46] These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which Yehovah
made between him and the children of Israel in mount
Sinai by the hand of Moses.
Lev.27
[34] These are the commandments, which Yehovah
commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount
Sinai.
Deut.4
[45] These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spoke
unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt,
Deut.12
[1] These are the
statutes and judgments, which you shall observe to do in the land, which Yehovah
God of your fathers giveth you to
possess it, all the days that you live upon the earth.
Deut.14
[1] You are the children of Yehovah
your God: you shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes
for the dead.
[2] for
you are an holy people unto Yehovah
your God, and Yehovah had chosen you to be a
peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
[3] You shall not eat any abominable
thing.
[4] These are the
beasts which you shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
[5] The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat,
and the pygarg,
and the wild ox, and the chamois.
[6] And every beast that parteth the
hoof, and cleaveth
the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud
among the beasts, that you shall eat.
[7] Nevertheless
these you shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide
the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney:
for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
[8] And the swine,
because it divides the hoof, yet chews not the cud, it is unclean unto you: you
shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.
[9] These you shall
eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall you
eat:
[10] And whatsoever
had not fins and scales you may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
[11] Of all clean
birds you shall eat.
[12] But these are
they of which you shall not eat: the eagle, and ossifrage,
and the ospray,
[13] And the glede and the
kite, and the vulture after his kind,
[14] And every raven after his kind,
[15] And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow,
and the hawk after his kind,
[16] The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
[17] And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and
the cormorant,
[18] And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and
the bat.
[19] And every creeping thing that flies is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
[20] But of all
clean fowls you may eat.
[21] You shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: you shall give it unto the stranger that is in your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it unto an alien: for you are an holy people unto Yehovah your God. You shall not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
Deut.29
[1] These are the words of the covenant, which Yehovah commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
1 John 2
[3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[4] He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is
not in him.
1 John 3
[22] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
[23] And this is his
commandment, That we should believe on the name
of his Son Yeshua
the Messiah, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
[24] And he that keeps his commandments dwells
in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth
in us, by the Spirit which he had given us.
1 John 5
[1] Whosoever believes that Yeshua
is the Messiah is born of God: and every one that loves him (the Father) that
begat loves him Yeshua also that is begotten of
him. (the
Father)
[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when
we love God, and keep his commandments. [3]
For this is the love of God, that we
keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Matt.19
[17] And Yeshua said
unto him, Why
do you call me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will
enter into life, keep the commandments.
[37] Yeshua said
unto him, You shall love Yehovah your
God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.[38]
This is the first and great commandment.
[39] And the second
is like unto it, You shall love
your neighbor as thyself.
[40] On these two
commandments hang all the law and
the prophets.
or two
commandments:
**1 -
How you treat God
**2 -
How you treat mankind
The
10 commandments
Exod.20
[1] And God spoke all these words, saying,
[2] I am Yehovah your God, which have
brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
[3] You shall have no other gods before me.
[4] You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any
likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
[5] You shall not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I Yehovah
your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the
children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
[6] And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my
commandments.
[7] You shall not take the name of Yehovah
your God in vain; for Yehovah will
not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.
[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shall you labor, and do all your work:
[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah
your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your
daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your
stranger that is within your gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made
heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day:
wherefore Yehovah
blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
**1 -
How you treat God above
**2 -
How you treat mankind below
[12] Honor your father and your mother: that your days may
be long upon the land which Yehovah your God
gives you.
[13] You shall not kill.
[14] You shall not commit adultery.
[15] You shall not steal.
[16] You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
[17] You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your
neighbor’s wife nor his manservant nor his maidservant nor his ox nor
his ass nor anything that is your neighbor’s.
Also
Deut. 5 has the 10 commandments
2 John 1
[5] And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a
new commandment unto you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we
love one another.[6] And this is love, that
we walk after his commandments.
This is the commandment, That, as you
have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
John 14
[15] If you love me,
keep my commandments.
[21] He that had my commandments, and keeps them,
he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I
will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
John 15
[10] If you keep my commandments, you shall
abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and
abide in his love.
Prov.3
[1] My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: [2] For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you.
Prov.4
[4] He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine
heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
Prov.7 [1] My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you.[2] Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye. [3] Bind them upon your fingers, write them upon the table of your heart.
Rev.12
[17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah.
Rev.14
[9] And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud
voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his
forehead, or in his hand,
[10] The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is
poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be
tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in
the presence of the Lamb:
[11] And the smoke of their torment ascendeth
up for
ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who
worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth
the mark of his name.
[12] Here is the
patience of the saints: here are they
that keep the commandments of
God and the faith of Yeshua.
Rev.22
[14] Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have
right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Also
Deut. 5 has the 10 commandments
Deut.6
[1] Now these are the commandments, the statutes,
and the judgments, which Yehovah your
God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land whither you go
to possess it:
[2] That you might fear Yehovah
your God, to keep all his statutes and
his commandments, which I command you,
you, and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your
days may be prolonged.
[3] Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it
may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as Yehovah
God of your fathers had promised you, in the land that flows with milk and
honey.
[4] Hear, O Israel: Yehovah
our God is one Yehovah:
[5] And you shall love Yehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
[6] And these words, which I command you this day, shall be
in your heart:
[7] And you shall
teach them diligently unto your children, and shall talk of them when you sit
in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when
you rise up.
[8] And you shall bind them
for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
[9] And you shall write them
upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.
[10] And it shall be, when Yehovah your
God shall have brought you into the land which he sware
unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and
goodly cities, which you buildedst not,
[11] And houses full of all good things, which you fill not, and wells digged,
which you dig not, vineyards and olive trees, which you plant not; when you
shall have eaten and be full;
[12] Then beware
lest you forget Yehovah, which
brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
[13] You shall fear Yehovah
your God, and serve him, and shall swear by his name.
[14] You shall not go after other
gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
[15] (For Yehovah
your God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of Yehovah
your God be kindled against you, and destroy you from off the face of the earth.
[16] You shall not tempt Yehovah
your God, as you tempted him in Massah.
[17] You shall diligently keep
the commandments of Yehovah your
God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he had commanded you.
[18] And you shall
do that which is right and good in the sight of Yehovah:
that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land
which Yehovah
swore unto your fathers,
[19] To cast out all your enemies from before you, as Yehovah
had spoken.
[20] And when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What
mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Yehovah
our God had commanded you?
[21] Then you shall say unto
your son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and Yehovah
brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
[22] And Yehovah showed signs and wonders,
great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before
our eyes:
[23] And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to
give us the land which he swore unto our fathers.
[24] And Yehovah commanded us to do all these statutes,
to fear Yehovah
our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this
day.
[25]
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments
before Yehovah
our God, as he had commanded us.
Inclosing
for today,
What
more can I say, keep the commandments of God and live.
