שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם
Today, we sadly use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.
Today’s date is March 18, 2023
March -- Mars' month
Middle
English March(e)
Anglo-French March(e)
Old English Martius
Latin Martius "of
Mars"
Latin Marti(s) "Mars" + -us (adj.
suffix)
Latin Martius mensis "month
of Mars"
Martius has always had 31 days.
March was the original beginning of the year, and the time for the resumption of war
Mars is the Roman god of war. He is identified with the Greek god Ares.
The God of Israel has His own Calendar: we are now in the 12th month of God, Day 25, called Adar אֲדָר
Esth.3 [7] …the
twelfth month, that is, the month Adar
We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in
the Book of Acts.
Acts: 13 [15] … after the reading of the law and the prophets…
Yeshua said unto them,
Luke 24[44] … These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
The Word of God - Torah, Prophets and Writings (psalms)
Ta Na Kk is an acronym for:
T = Torah (law, teachings) - first 5 books of Moses
N = Navi' eem or prophets (pl. sounds like - Na vi eem)
K = Ke'tuvim or writings (psalms etc.)
At this point, there were neither gospels nor letters.
I use too explain the Sabbath, the 7th day each week,
The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan
Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (in all your dwellings)
The new moon is approaching: ha Aviv, Nisan, March 23, 2023, soon
Passover and the Feast of unleavened bread again
Today’s
Topic
The
evil tongue
Backbiters
Prov.25 [23] The north wind
drives away rain: so does an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
κατάλαλος katalalos {kat-al'-al-os}
Meaning: 1) a defamer, evil speaker
Rom. 1
[20]
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God,
neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish
heart was darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible
God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed
beasts, and creeping things.
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of
their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
[25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served
the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
[26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even
their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
[27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman,
burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is
unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was
meet.
[28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God
gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not
convenient;
[29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness,
covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity;
whisperers,
[30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors
of evil things, disobedient to parents,
[31] Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural
affection, implacable, unmerciful:
[32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things
are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do
them.
Evil tongue
Pss.15
[1]
Yehovah,
who shall abide in your tabernacle? Who shall dwell in your holy hill?
[2] He that walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the
truth in his heart.
[3] He that back biteth not with
his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor
takes up a reproach against his neighbor.
[4] In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honored them that
fear Yehovah,
he that swears to his own hurt and changes not.
[5] He that puts not out his money to usury, nor takes reward against
the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
Pss.34
[12]
What man is he that desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
[13] Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.
[14] Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Pss.50
[16]
But unto the wicked God said, what have you to do to declare my statutes, or
that you should take my covenant in your mouth?
[17] Seeing you hate instruction, and cast my words behind you.
[18] When you saw a thief, then you consented with him, and have been
partaker with adulterers.
[19] You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frame deceit.
[20] You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own
mother's son.
[21] These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I
was altogether such a one as yourself: but I will reprove you, and set them in
order before your eyes.
[22] Now consider this, you that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces,
and there be none to deliver.
[23] Whoso offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his
conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.
Jas.3
[1]
My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater
condemnation.
[2] For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the
same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
[3] Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths that they may obey us; and
we turn about their whole body.
[4] Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven
of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm,
whithersoever the governor list.
[5] Even so the tongue
is a little member and boast great things. Behold how great a matter a
little fire kindles!
[6] And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue
among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course
of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
[7] For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of
things in the sea, is tamed, and had been tamed of mankind:
[8] But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly
poison.
[9] Therewith bless we God, even
the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of
God.
[10] Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren,
these things ought not so to be.
[11] Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and
bitter?
[12] Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? Either
a vine, figs? so can no
fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
[13] Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let
him shew
out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
[14] But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory
not, and lie not against the truth.
[15] This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, and
devilish.
[16] For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil
work.
[17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, and easy to be entreated full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality, and without hypocrisy.
[18] And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make
peace.
1 Pet.3
[8] Finally, be you all of one mind, having compassion one
of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
[9] Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but
contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are thereunto called, that you should
inherit a blessing.
[10] For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his
tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
[11] Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
[12] For the eyes of Yehovah are
over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of
the Lord is against them that do evil.
[13] And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which
is good?
[14] But and if you suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are you: and
be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
[15] But sanctify Yehovah God in
your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that ask you a
reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
[16] Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that
falsely accuse your good conversation in Messiah.
[17] For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for
well doing, than for evil doing.
[18] For Messiah also had once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but
quickened by the Spirit:
[19] By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
[20] Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God
waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that
is, eight souls were saved by water.
[21] The like figure whereunto even baptism does also now save us (not
the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience
toward God,) by the resurrection of Yeshua the
Messiah:
[22] Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels
and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Rev.21 [27] And there shall
in no wise enter into it anything that defiles, neither whatsoever works
abomination, or makes
a lie: but
they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
So, who or what are you following?
Make sure what you are hearing or seeing is true, accurate and correct.
Always remember: Embellished made-up
stories are still lies!
In
closing for today,
Remember,
Ecc.9 [18] Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroys much good.
Yah bless you all
