Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

The seventh month is called ha Ethanim below:

1Kgs.8 [2] … all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto King Solomon at the feast in the month abib, ha Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

Lev.23 [34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto Yehovah.

[39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.

Lev.23 [1] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,

[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.

[39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.

[40] And you shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Yehovah your God seven days.

[41] And you shall keep it a feast unto Yehovah seven days in the year.

It shall be a statute forever in your generations: you shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

[42] You shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:

[43] That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah your God.

[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of Yehovah.

מֹעֲדֵי יְהוָה

My Sabbaths you shall keep: for it is a sign

Exod.31 12 And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying:

[13] Speak you also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths you shall keep:

for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am Yehovah that doth sanctify you.

[14] Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

[15] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to Yehovah: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

[17] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Matt.13

[24] Another parable put Yeshua forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
[25] But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
[26] But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
[27] So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not you sow good seed in your field? From whence then hath it tares?
[28] He said unto them, an enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt you then that we go and gather them up?
[29] But he said, nay; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them.
[30] Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather you together first the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Shadows of "things to come"

The feasts and holy days of Yehovah are all about the Messiah

Colossians 2:16: Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day , or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: 17: Which are a shadow of "things to come" (future tense); but the body is of Messiah / Christ.

Review:

judge - κρινω krino: to try to condemn, to separate, put asunder, to pick out, to be of opinion, judge, to pronounce an opinion concerning right and wrong, to contend, to dispute

Holy day - ορτη heorte -heh-or-tay' - a festival: - feast, holyday.

New moon - νουμηνία noumēnia - noo-may-nee'-ah - the new moon

Meat - βρῶσις brōsis - that which is eaten, clean food, some type of grain

Sabbath days - sabbaton - σάββατον - sab'-bat-on - Of Hebrew origin; the Sabbath, the day of weekly repose from secular avocations - Sabbath days: 7 Sabbaths in feasts.

Shadow - σκια skia : shadow, an image cast by an object and representing the form of that object, a sketch, outline

The first type of a Succoth

Genesis 8:4 and the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. –

3 harvests - 3 feasts (not 7 feasts)

Which is, Which was, Which is to come

הַהֹוֶה וְהָיָה וְיָבוֹא (Rev. 1:4)

Rev.1 [4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

[8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Exod.23 [14] Three times you shall keep a feast unto me in the year.

[15] Thou shall keep the feast of unleavened bread: (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; ha Aviv for in it you came out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

[16] And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you hast sown in the field:

and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when you hast gathered in your labors out of the field.

[17] Three times in the year all your males shall appear before Lord Yehovah.

Deut.16 [16] Three times in a year shall all your males appear before Yehovah your God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles

Feast of Tabernacles is a shadow of our future Home

Rev.21 [ 3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Isaiah told us:

Isa.65 [17] For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Isa.66 [22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says Yehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.

2 Pet.3 [13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

Rev.21 [1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Let’s talk a little about “The BRANCH” again:

Isaiah 4:2 In that day shall the branch of Yehovah be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

Jeremiah 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

Zech.3 [8] Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you, and your fellows that sit before you: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

Zechariah 6:12 …speak unto him, saying, Thus speaks Yehovah of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; צֶמַח and He shall grow up out of his place, and He shall build the temple of Yehovah…

Let’s review:

Branch - Messiah נֵצֶר (ene) Nazarene נָצְרִי

Jer.23 [5] Behold, the days come, said Yehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

צֶמַח צַדִּיק

Jer.33 [15] In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

Zech.6 [12] And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaks Yehovah of hosts, saying,

Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of Yehovah: [13] Even he shall build the temple of Yehovah; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

צֶמַח שְׁמוֹ

Isaiah 11:1 … there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branchנֵצֶר shall grow out of his root…

נצר netser - a shoot; figuratively, a descendant: - branch

Matthew 2:23 … Yeshua came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

All the way back to Isaiah 11:

2 And the spirit of Yehovah shall rest upon him (Messiah), the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yehovah;

3 And shall make him (Messiah), of quick understanding in the fear of Yehovah: and he (Messiah), shall not judge after the sight of his (Messiah), eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his (Messiah), ears:

4 But with righteousness shall he (Messiah), judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he (Messiah), shall smite the earth with the rod of his (Messiah), mouth, and with the breath of his (Messiah), lips shall he (Messiah), slay the wicked.

5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his (Messiah), loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his (Messiah), reins.

6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

We shall read many scriptures this week, join us!

One interesting point – the year of release is in the feast of tabernacles

Deut.31 [10] And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles, [11] When all Israel is come to appear before Yehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
