שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today we are still using the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s which he introduced it as a modification of, and replacement for the Julian calendar.

Today is Sept. 7, 2024

 We acknowledge God’s calendar – the 6th month Elul , day 3

Neh.6 [15] So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.

Neh.7[73] So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.

Seventh month is ha Ethanim = 1 Kings:8:2

Today is the 4th commandment, the Sabbath.

Sabbath is not a Jewish tradition.

Here in Genesis 2:2,3 there were no Jews nor Israel at that time.

Gen.2 [2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

I have been doing basic studies for the last few weeks so people have learn.

Today’s topic:

The forgotten Word

 of the God of Israel

Life is short, let’s get it right…

Ecc.1 [4One generation passes away, and another generation come…

Here are some things that are forgotten pertaining to God:

The real God of Israel is forgotten

God’s feasts and holy days are forgotten

God’s commandments are forgotten

God’s Sabbath, the 4th commandment is forgotten

God’s calendar is forgotten

God’s New Year is forgotten

God’s pure word is forgotten

and many other things…

Pss.44 [20] If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;[21] Shall not God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart

Yes, life is short let’s try to get it right.

Ecc.9 [10whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither you go.

Deut.4 [2] You shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish ought from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yehovah your God which I command you.

Deut.12 [32] What thing so ever I command you, observe to do it: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Prov.30 [6] Add not unto His words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

People still ask me, why don’t we work on Saturday, I explained to them it is the fourth commandment the Sabbath and they never ask anything after that…

Here is what is forgotten:

Total missing = God’s holy name 6873 times missing in the English bible – all gone

Other words that are wrongly added to the scriptures:

The word Easter – Acts 12:4

History from the net

The Gutenberg press was in the 1500’s

The word for the Passover had been used until reformist William Tyndale translated the New Testament from Greek into English.

Tyndale did not care to use a foreign word, so he used the word “Easter,” since English people associated this word with the Passover season.

October 6, 1536 - Tyndale was an English biblical scholar and linguist who became a leading figure in the Protestant Reformation in the years leading up to his execution. He is well known as a translator of the Bible into English, and was influenced by the works of prominent Protestant Reformers such as Martin Luther.

Luther's translation of the Christian Bible into German appeared in 1522.

Tyndale's translation was the first English Bible to draw directly from Hebrew and Greek texts, the first English translation to take advantage of the printing pressthe first of the new English Bibles of the Reformation, and the first English translation to use Jehovah ("Iehouah") as God's name as preferred by English Protestant Reformers.

It was taken to be a direct challenge to the hegemony (leadership or dominance, especially by one country or social group over others:) of the Catholic Church and of those laws of England maintaining the church's position.

The work of Tyndale continued to play a key role in spreading Reformation ideas across the English-speaking world and eventually across the British Empire.

Tyndale's translation of the Bible was used for subsequent English translations, including the Great Bible and the Bishops' Bibleauthorized by the Church of England.

In 1611, after seven years of work, the 47 scholars who produced the King James Version of the Bible drew extensively from Tyndale's original work and other translations that descended from his.

One estimate suggests that the New Testament in the King James Version is 83% Tyndale's words and the Old Testament 76%.

1526 The New Testament translation (first full printed edition in English)

A few other words for now:

Church, should be assembly

1985 πσκοπος episkopos {ep-is'-kop-os}

Meaning:

1) An overseer, officer

1a) a man charged with the duty of seeing that things to be done by others are done rightly, any curator, guardian or superintendent

1b) the superintendent, elder, or overseer of a Christian church

Usage:  AV - bishop 6overseer 1; 7 times

The word Deacon – should be to minister or attendant

1247 διακονω diakoneo {dee-ak-on-eh'-o}

Meaning:

1) to be a servant, attendant, domestic, to serve, wait upon

1a) to minister to one, render ministering offices to

1a1) to be served, ministered unto

1c) to minister i.e. supply food and necessities of life

1d2) to minister a thing to one, to serve one or by supplying any thing

Usage:  AV - minister unto 15, serve 10, minister 7, misc 5; 37 times

I guess the people that translated the Bible just change the words as they felt fit in their religion at their time.

The Word was God

Gen.1

[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

John 1

[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[5] And the light shines in darkness; and
the darkness comprehended it not.

[14] And the Word was made fleshand dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

All holy words of God are important

The Word - Yeshua quoted this:

Matt.4 [4] …It is writtenMan shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Luke.4 [4] And Yeshua answered him, saying, it is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

A few verses:

Prov.30 [5] Every word of God is purehe is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Pss.12 [6] The words of Yehovah are pure words:

as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Pss.33 [4] For the word of Yehovah is right; and all his works are done in truth.

[6] By the word of Yehovah were the heavens madeand all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Prov.4 [5Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it notneither decline from the words of my mouth.

Prov.5 [7Hear me now therefore, O you children, and depart not from the words of my mouth

Pss.50 [17] Seeing thou hate instruction, and cast my words behind you

Pss.56 [5] Every day they wrest / pervert my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

Jer.11

[10] They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

Jer.13

[10] This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

We live by every Word of God

Prov.13 [13Who so despises the word shall be destroyed

But he that fears the commandment shall be rewarded.

We read many times in TaNaKh the Word of Yehovah came speaking to many people.

It is and was written… Does anyone care?

Atheists make up a larger share of the population in many European countries than they do in the U.S.

In the U.S., atheists are mostly men and are relatively young, according to the 2014 Religious Landscape Study.

About seven-in-ten U.S. atheists are men (68%).

The median age for atheists is 34, compared with 46 for all U.S. adults.

Atheists also are more likely to be white (78% vs. 66% of the general public) and highly educated: About four-in-ten atheists (43%) have a college degree, compared with 27% of the general public.

Self-identified atheists also tend to be aligned with the Democratic Party and with political liberalism.

Most Americans (56%) say it is not necessary to believe in God to be moral, while 42% say belief in God is necessary to have good values, according to a 2017 survey.

I guess this is forgotten: Prov.22 [6] Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

John.20 [30] And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: [31] But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his name.

In closing for today,

What else can I say, the world is evil and I don’t know how it can get worse, may God have mercy on all its.

Isa.13 [11] And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

1 John 5 [19] And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.
