Seven weeks now, 1 day left - the Feast of Weeks – Pentecost
Hag Sh'vu-ot - çÇâ ùÑÈáËòÉú
REMEMBER,
I told you for "7" weeks now:
"TWO" Sabbaths in a row.
The
weekly Sabbath today and tomorrow, (Sivan 11), Sunday, June 15th is a Sabbath, a holy convocation
-------------
Lev.23 [15] And ye shall count
unto you from the morrow after the sabbath,
from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
[16] Even unto the
morrow after the seventh sabbath
shall ye number fifty days;
and ye shall offer a
new meat offering unto the LORD.
Exod. 34 [22] And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest,
Deut. 16 [10] And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God
with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand,
which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God,
according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
[11] And
thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and
thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the
Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the
widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to
place his name there.
[12] And thou shalt
remember that thou wast
a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do
these statutes.
----------
The
feast of weeks, Pentecost still kept after the Lord rose
Acts 2 [1] And when the day of
Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Acts
20 [16] For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus,
because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he
hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
1Cor. 16 [8] But I
will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

Sad, our calendar only says:
FLAG DAY - Sat. not Sabbath
FATHER'S DAY - Sun. not feast of weeks,
Pentecost

Question:
Why are we here today?
Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy
The 4th
Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd
month, Sivan
Ex. 20 [8] Remember the
Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy
God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy
son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor
thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the
sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD
blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Isa. 58 [13] If
thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the
Sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
[14] Then shalt thou delight
thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the
earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of
the LORD hath spoken it.
Lev. 23: [3] Six
days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no
work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all
your dwellings.
Read:
Isa. 56 - the
stranger gets a special from keeping Sabbath
Neh. 13:15, to the end of the chapter. It is evil to buy and sell on the Sabbath of the
Lord.

We read
from law and the prophets every Sabbath.
60 times
in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath
Acts 13 [13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos,
they came to Perga in Pamphylia:
and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem. [14] But when they departed
from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. [15]
And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue
sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye
have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
[27] For they that dwell at
Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of
the prophets which are read every sabbath
day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
[42] And
when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these
words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
[44]And the next Sabbath
day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God
--
Acts 15 [21] For
Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the
synagogues every Sabbath day.
Luke 4 [16] And he, Yeshua
/ Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was,
he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.[17]
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.
--
Exod. 31 [13] Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep : for it is a sign between me and you throughout your
generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath
throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant . [17]
It is a sign between me and the children of
Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the
seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Ezek. 20 [12]
Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between
me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
[20] And hallow my
Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me
and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.
---
Luke 23 [56] And
they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
----
Messiah Yeshua speaking of the future: Matt.24 [20] But pray ye that your
flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:
------------
Gen. 2 [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested
on the seventh day from all his work
which he had made.
[3] And God
blessed the seventh day , and sanctified it: because that in it he had
rested from all his work which God created and made.

Exod. 19
In the third month, (Sivan) when the
children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came
they into the wilderness of Sinai.
For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come
to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel
camped before the mount.
And Moses
went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying,
Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell
the children of Israel;
Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles'
wings, and brought you unto myself.
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye
shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is
mine:
And ye shall
be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.
These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the
children of Israel.
And Moses came and called for the elders
of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD
commanded him.
And all the people answered together,
and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the
words of the people unto the LORD.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come
unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee,
and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words
of the people unto the LORD.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto
the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow,
and let them wash their clothes,
And be ready against the third day: for
the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount
Sinai.
And thou shalt
set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that
ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:
There
shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be
stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when
the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the
mount.
And Moses
went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they
washed their clothes.
And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.
And it came to pass on the third day in
the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings,
and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud;
so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether
part of the mount
And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke
thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
And when the
voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder
and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a
voice.
And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called
Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down,
charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze,
and many of them perish.
And let the priests also, which come
near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.
And Moses said unto the LORD, The people
cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and
sanctify it.
And the LORD said unto him, Away, get
thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron
with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto
the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.
[25]
So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto
them.
Exod. 20
And God spake all these words,
saying, I am
the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out
of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Commandment 1 - Thou shalt have no other gods
before me.
Commandment 2 - Thou shalt not make unto thee
any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that
is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water
under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to
them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the
iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation
of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto
thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Commandment 3 - Thou shalt not take the name
of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Commandment 4 - Remember the sabbath
day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But
the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God:
in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son,
nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy
stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them
is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Commandment 5 - Honour thy father and thy
mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Commandment 6 - Thou shalt not kill.
Commandment 7 - Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Commandment 8 - Thou shalt not steal.
Commandment 9 - Thou shalt not bear false
witness against thy neighbour.
Commandment 10 - Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not
covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his
manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing
that is thy neighbour's.
And all the
people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain
smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
And they said
unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with
us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the
people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before
your faces, that ye sin not.
And the
people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God
was.
And the LORD
said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the
children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
Ye shall
not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
An altar
of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace
offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places
where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
And if thou
wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build
it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy
nakedness be not discovered thereon.
