  שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today is July 19, 2025

July - Julius Caesar's month

Latin Julius mensis "month of Julius"
Latin quintilis mensis "
fifth month",  now the 7 month

Julius Caesar reformed the Roman calendar (hence the Julian calendar) in 46 BC.

In the process, he renamed this month after himself.

God’s calendar - We are now in the fourth month of God which has no scriptural name - day 23

 Today’s topic:

To overcome

The victory, we continue on

Pss.98 [1] O sing unto Yehovah a new song; for he had done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, had gotten him the victory.

Isa.25 [8] He will swallow up death in victory; and Yehovah GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for Yehovah had spoken it.

Matt.12 [18] Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
[19] He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. [20] A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. [21] And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

1Cor.15 [51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? [56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.[57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. [58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 John.5 [1] Whosoever believes that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. [4] For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

Rev.15 [1] And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. [2] And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. [3] And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, you King of saints.
[4] Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for you only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before you; for thy judgments are made manifest.

John 16 [33] These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Rom.12 [21] Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 John 2 [13] I write unto you, fathers, because you have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because you have known the Father.[14] I have written unto you, fathers, because you have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.

1 John 4 [4] You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. [5] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
[6] We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears  not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. [7] Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
[8] He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.
[9] In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
[10] Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
[11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

1 John 5 [1] Whosoever believeth that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

[4] For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.[5] Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Yeshua is the Son of God?

Rev.2 [7] He that had an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

[11] He that had an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death.

[17] He that had an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it.

[26] And he that overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: [27] And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
[28] And I will give him the morning star.

Rev.3 [5] He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

[12] Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

[21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Rev.17 [11] And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
[12] And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
[13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. [14] These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Rev.21 [7] He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

John 15 [9] As the Father had loved me, so have I loved you: continue you in my love.

Acts.14 [22] Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Rom.11 [22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness: otherwise you also shalt be cut off.

Rom.12 [9] Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
[
10] Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
[
11] Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
[
12] Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
[
13] Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
[
14] Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
[
15] Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
[
16] Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
[
17] Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
[
18] If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Col.1 [21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now had he reconciled,[22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:[23] If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Pss.72

[1] Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.
[
2] He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
[
3] The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
[
4] He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
[
5] They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
[
6] He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
[
7] In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
[
8] He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
[
9] They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
[
10] The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
[
11] Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
[
12] For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
[
13] He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
[
14] He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
[
15] And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
[
16] There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
[
17] His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
[
18] Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
[
19] And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
[
20] The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

Col.4 [2] Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving…

1Tim.4 [16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shalt both save thyself, and them that hear you.

1Tim.5 [5] Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continue in supplications and prayers night and day.

2Tim.3 [14] … continue you in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;

Heb.13 [1] Let brotherly love continue.

[14] For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

[15] … let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Jas.1 [25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

1 John [24] Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Acts.26

[22] Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: [23] That Messiah should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Rom.11

[22] …behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodnessotherwise you also shall be cut off.

2 Tim.3 [14] …continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them; [15] And that from a child (also in the Lord) you have  known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Messiah Yeshua.

[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:[17] That the man / woman of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Jas.1

[25] …Whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he / she being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man / woman shall be blessed in their deed.

Heb.1

[1Let brotherly (and sisterly) love continue.

1Tim.4

[16Take heed unto yourself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.
