Exod.12 [1] And Yehovah
spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,[2]
This month shall be unto you the
beginning of months: it shall be the
first month of the year to you.
[3] Speak you unto all the congregation of Israel,
saying,
In the tenth day of this
month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of
their fathers, a lamb for an house:
[4] And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor
next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man
according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
[5] Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: you
shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
[6] And you shall
keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly
of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
[7] And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the
two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat
it.
[8] And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and
unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
[9] Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with
fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
[10] And you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that
which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.
[11] And thus shall you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on
your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Yehovah's passover.
[12] For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night,
and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and
against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am Yehovah.
[13] And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the
houses where you are: and when I see the
blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to
destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
[14] And this day
shall be unto you for a memorial; and
you shall keep it a feast to Yehovah
throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
[15] Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
[16] And in the
first day there shall be a holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you;
no manner
of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only
may be done of you.
[17] And you shall
observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I
brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall you observe this
day in your generations by an ordinance forever.
[18] In the first
month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, you shall eat unleavened
bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
[19] Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your
houses: for whosoever eats that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut
off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be
a stranger, or born in the land.
[20] You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall you
eat unleavened bread.
[21] Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and
said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb
according to your families, and kill the Passover.
[22] And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that
is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood
that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house
until the morning.
[23] For Yehovah
will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the
lintel, and on the two side posts, Yehovah will pass over the door, and will
not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
[24] And you shall observe this thing
for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons forever.
[25] And it shall come to pass, when you be
come to the land which Yehovah
will give you, according as he had promised, that you shall keep this service.
[26] And it shall come to pass, when your children shall
say unto you, What mean you by this service?
[27] That you shall say, It is the sacrifice of Yehovah's passover,
who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote
the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and
worshipped.
[28] And the children of Israel went away, and did as Yehovah
had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
[29] And it came to pass, that at midnight Yehovah
smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharoah
that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the
dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
[30] And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all
the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house
where there was not one dead.
[31] And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said,
Rise up, and get
you forth from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go,
serve Yehovah,
as you have said.
[32] Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be
gone; and bless me also.
[33] And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send
them out of the land in haste; for they said, We
be all dead men.
[34] And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their
kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
[35] And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and
they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and
raiment:
[36] And Yehovah
gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto
them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
[37] And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth,
about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
[38] And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and
herds, even very much cattle.
[39] And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought
forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of
Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any
victual.
[40] Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who
dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
[41] And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty
years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of Yehovah
went out from the land of Egypt.
[42] It is a night
to be much observed unto Yehovah
for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of Yehovah
to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
[43] And Yehovah
said unto Moses and Aaron,
This is the ordinance of the passover:
There shall no stranger eat thereof:
[44] But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast
circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
[45] A foreigner and an hired
servant shall not eat thereof.
[46] In one house shall it be eaten; thou shall not carry forth ought of
the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall you break a bone thereof.
[47] All the congregation of
Israel shall keep it.
[48] And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the
Passover to Yehovah,
let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and
he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall
eat thereof.
[49] One law shall be to him that
is home
born, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.
[50] Thus did all the children of Israel; as Yehovah
commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
[51] And it came to pass the selfsame day, that
Yehovah
did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
Yehovah is speaking about the feasts of Yehovah
Lev.23 [1] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which you
shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the
sabbath
of rest, an holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is
the Sabbath of Yehovah
in all your dwellings.
[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy
convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.
[5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yehovah’ Passover.
[6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of
unleavened bread unto Yehovah:
seven days you must eat unleavened bread.
[7] In the first day you shall have an holy
convocation: you shall do no servile work therein.
[8] But you shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah
seven days: in the seventh day is an holy
convocation: you shall do no servile work therein.
[9] And Yehovah spake
unto Moses, saying,
[10] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,
When you be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the
harvest thereof, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your
harvest unto the priest:
[11] And he shall wave the sheaf before Yehovah, to be
accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest
shall wave it.
[12] And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf an
he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto Yehovah.
[13] And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine
flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto Yehovah for a sweet savour:
and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an
hin.
[14] And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears,
until the selfsame day that you have brought an offering unto your God: it
shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[15] And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath,
from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths
shall be complete:
[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall you
number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.
[17] Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth
deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the first fruits unto Yehovah.
[18] And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of
the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt
offering unto Yehovah,
with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by
fire, of sweet savor unto Yehovah.
[19] Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering,
and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
[20] And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits
for a wave offering before Yehovah,
with the two lambs: they shall be holy to Yehovah for the priest.
[21] And you shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy
convocation unto you: you shall do no servile work therein: it shall
be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
[22] And when you reap the harvest of your land, thou shall not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shall thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shall leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am Yehovah your God.
[23] And Yehovah spake
unto Moses, saying,
[24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In
the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have a sabbath,
a memorial of blowing of trumpets,
an holy convocation.
[25] Ye shall do no servile work therein: but you shall
offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.
[26] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[27] Also on the
tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall
be an holy
convocation unto you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer an
offering made by fire unto Yehovah.
[28] And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is a
day of atonement, to make an atonement
for you before Yehovah
your God.
[29] For whatsoever soul it be
that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among
his people.
[30] And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the
same soul will I destroy from among his people.
[31] Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever
throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[32] It shall be unto you a sabbath of
rest, and you shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall you celebrate
your sabbath.
[33] And Yehovah
spoke unto Moses, saying,
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of
this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto Yehovah.
[35] On the first
day shall be an holy convocation:
you shall do no servile work therein.
[36] Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire
unto Yehovah:
on the eighth day shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire
unto Yehovah:
it is a solemn assembly; and you shall do no servile work therein.
[37] These are the feasts of Yehovah, which you
shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made
by fire unto Yehovah,
a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing
upon his day:
[38] Beside the Sabbaths of Yehovah, and beside
your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings,
which you give unto Yehovah.
[39] Also in the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of
the land, you shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath,
and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
[40] And you shall take you on the first day the boughs of
goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and
willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Yehovah your God seven
days.
[41] And you shall keep it a feast unto Yehovah seven days in
the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations: you shall
celebrate it in the seventh month.
[42] You shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born
shall dwell in booths:
[43] That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel
to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah
your God.
[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of Yehovah.
Num.28 [16] And in the
fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of Yehovah.
[17] And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days
shall unleavened bread be eaten. [18] In the first day shall be an holy
convocation; you shall do no manner of servile work therein:
[25] And on the seventh day you shall have an holy
convocation; you shall do no servile work.
[26] Also in the day of the first fruits, when you bring a
new meat offering unto Yehovah,
after your weeks be
out, you shall have an holy convocation; you shall do no
servile work…
Num.29 [1] And in the
seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have an holy
convocation; you shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.
[7] And you shall have on
the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and you
shall afflict your souls: you shall not do any work therein:
[12] And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you
shall have an holy
convocation; you shall do no servile work, and you shall keep a feast unto Yehovah
seven days:
[32] And on the seventh day
[35]
On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly: you
shall do no servile work therein:
[39]
These things you shall do unto Yehovah in your set feasts, beside your
vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat
offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.
[40] And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that Yehovah
commanded Moses.

saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
