beast and the false prophet study
Little children, it is the last time: and
"as ye have heard that antichrist shall come"
this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come
man of sin - son of perdition
*****exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped
2Thes.2[ 3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
*****exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god
Dan. 11[36] And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.[37] Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
2Thes.2[
5] Remember ye not, that, when
I was yet with you, I told you these things?
[6] And now ye know what withholdeth
that he might be revealed in his time
.
[7] For
the mystery of iniquity doth already work
: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the
way.
[8] And then shall that Wicked
be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and
shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
[9] Even
him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and
lying wonders,
[10]
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because
they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[11] And for this cause God
shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
[12] That they all might be
damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Dan.7[ 7] After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. ( Rev. 13:1 )
[19] Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
[23] Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
Dan.11[ 2] And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.
the Feast of Chanukah was predicted prophetically by the Book of Daniel (8:9-14; 11:21-35) who made that up? That is another study...
Dan.7
[7] After this
I saw in the night visions, and behold a
fourth beast,
[8]
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little
horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots:
and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking
great things.
[9] I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the
Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his
head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels
as burning fire.
[10] A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands
ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him:
the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
[11]
I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake:
I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to
the burning flame.
[12] As concerning the rest
of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged
for a season and time.
[13] I saw in the night visions,
and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came
to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
[14] And there was given him
dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages,
should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not
pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Dan.11
Persian Jew?
[1] Also I in
the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen
him.
[2] And now will I shew thee
the truth. Behold, there shall stand
up yet three kings in Persia; and
the fourth shall be far richer
than they all: and by his strength through his riches
he shall stir up all against the realm of
Grecia.

[20] Then shall stand up in his estate a
raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be
destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
[22] And with the arms of a flood shall
they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the
prince of the covenant
.
[23] And after
the league made with him
he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come
up, and shall become strong with a small people.
[24]
He shall enter peaceably
even upon the fattest places of the province;
and he shall do that which his fathers
have not done, nor his fathers' fathers;
he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil,
and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds,
even for a time.
[32] And such as do wickedly against the
covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their
God shall be strong, and do exploits.
[36]
And the king shall do according to his will;
and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall
speak marvellous things against the God of gods,
and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished:
for that that is determined shall be done.
[38] But in his estate shall he honour the
God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold,
and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
[39] Thus shall he do in the most strong
holds with a strange god
, whom he shall acknowledge and increase
with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the
land for gain.
[40] And
at the time of the end
shall the king of the south push at him: and
the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots,
and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries,
and shall overflow and pass over.
[41]
He shall enter also into the glorious land,
and many countries shall be overthrown:
but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief
of the children of Ammon.
Dan.12
[1] And at that
time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children
of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since
there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall
be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
[2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth
shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
[4] But thou,
O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even
to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro,
and knowledge shall be increased.
Dan.12[11
] And from the
time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that
maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

] But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt
rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Dan.9[
27] And
he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week
: = 7 yrs.
and in the midst of
the week = 3 1/2 yrs.
he shall cause
the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations
he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation,
and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Matt.24[
15] When
ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the
prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let
him understand:)
Mark.13[
14] But
when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of
by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not,
(let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to
the mountains:
1John.2[
18] Little children, it is the
last time: and as ye have heard that
antichrist shall come, even now are there many
antichrists; whereby we know
that it is the last time.
[22] Who is
a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?
He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the
Son.
1John.4
[3] And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of
antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should
come; and even now already is it in the world.
2John.1[
7] For many deceivers are entered
into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This
is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Zech.4[
11] Then answered I, and said
unto him, What are these two olive trees
upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left
side thereof? [12] And I answered
again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches
which through the two golden pipes empty the golden
oil out of themselves?[13] And
he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my
lord.
Rev.11 my two witnesses
[1] And there
was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and
measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
[3] And I will
give power unto my two witnesses
, and they shall prophesy a thousand two
hundred and threescore days,
( 1260 days ) (1260 is 3 1/2
yrs. when divided by 360 days per year ).
clothed in sackcloth.
[4] These are
the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing
before the God of the earth.
[11] And
after three days and an half the Spirit of life from
God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet;
and great fear fell upon them which saw them.[12
] And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto
them, Come up hither. And
they ascended up to heaven in a cloud
; and their enemies beheld them.[13
] And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and
the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven
thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.[
14] The second woe is past;
and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
the beast and the false prophet
Rev.13
[1] And I stood
upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having
seven heads
and ten horns,
( Dan. 7:7 )
and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of
blasphemy.
[11] And
I beheld another beast coming
up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb,
and he spake as a dragon.
Rev.14[
11] And the smoke of their torment
ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night,
who worship the beast and his image
, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his
name.
Rev.16[
2] And the first went, and poured
out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon
the men which had the mark of the beast
, and upon them which worshipped his image.
[13] And I saw
three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out
of the mouth of the beast, and
out of the mouth of the false
prophet.
Rev.19[
20] And
the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet
that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived
them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his
image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Rev.20[
10] And the devil that deceived
them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where
the beast and the false prophet are,
and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. [1] Now we
beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering
together unto him,
Spiritually, we are the Temple of God. Don't let him or
his doctrine sit in you !
[5] Remember
ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?[
6] And now ye know what withholdeth
that he might be revealed in his time.
[21] And in his estate shall stand up a
vile person,
to whom they shall not give the honour of the
kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably,
and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
[25] And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the
south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle
with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast
devices against him.
[26] Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and
his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.
[27] And both these kings'
hearts shall be to do mischief, and
they shall speak lies at one table;
but it shall not prosper: for yet
the end shall be at the time appointed.
[28] Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall
be against the holy covenant
; and he shall do exploits, and
return to his own land.
[29] At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but
it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.
[30] For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be
grieved, and return, and have indignation
against the holy covenant: so shall
he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence
with them that forsake the holy covenant.
[31] And arms shall stand on his
part, and they shall pollute the
sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall
place the abomination that maketh desolate.
[33] And they that understand among
the people shall instruct many:
yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil,
many days.
[34] Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but
many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
[35] And some of them of understanding
shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the
time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
[37] Neither shall he regard the
God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall
magnify himself above all.
[42] He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land
of Egypt shall not escape.
[43] But he shall have power over
the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt:
and the Libyans and the Ethiopians
shall be at his steps.
[44] But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore
he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
[45] And he shall plant the tabernacles
of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain
; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall
help him.
[3]
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they
that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
[5] Then I Daniel looked, and,
behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river,
and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
[6] And one said to the man
clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it
be to the end of these wonders?
[7] And I heard the man clothed
in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right
hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that
it shall be for a time, times, and an
half; ( 3 1/2 yrs. ) and
when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all
these things shall be finished.
[8] And I heard, but I understood
not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
[9] And he said, Go thy way,
Daniel: for the words are closed up
and sealed till the time of the end.
[10]
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do
wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
[14] Then said he,
These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of
the whole earth.
[2] But the court which is without
the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is
given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty
and two months. 3 1/2 yrs.
[5] And if any man will hurt
them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and
if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
[6] These have power to shut
heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over
waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often
as they will.
[7] And when they shall have finished their testimony,
the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them,
and shall overcome them, and kill them.
[8] And their dead bodies shall
lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and
Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
[9]
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see
their dead bodies three days and an half
, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
[10] And
they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and
make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets
tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
[2] And the beast which I saw
was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth
as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his
power, and his seat, and great authority.
[3] And I saw one of his
( 7 verse 1 ) heads as it were
wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered
after the beast.
[4] And
they worshipped the dragon which
gave power unto the beast: and
they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able
to make war with him?
[5] And there was given unto
him a mouth speaking great
things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue
forty and two months. ( 3 1/2 yrs. )
[6]
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and
his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
[7] And it was given unto him
to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and
power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations
.
[8] And
all that dwell upon the earth shall worship
him, whose names are not written in the book of life
of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
[9] If any man have an ear,
let him hear.
[10] He that leadeth into captivity
shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with
the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
[12] And he exerciseth all the
power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell
therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
[13] And
he doeth great wonders, so that he
maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
[14] And deceiveth them that
dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do
in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they
should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did
live.
[15] And
he had power to give life unto the
image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause
that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
[16] And
he causeth all, both small and great,
rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in
their foreheads:
[17] And that no man might buy
or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the
beast, or the number of his name.
[18]
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast:
for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and
six.
[2] That
ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word
, nor by letter
as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
[3] Let no man deceive you by any means:
for that day shall not come
, except there come a falling away first, and that
man of sin be revealed, the son
of perdition;
[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that
is called God, or that is worshipped; so that
he as God sitteth in the temple
( has to be a temple for this to happen physically ) of God,
shewing himself that he is God.
[7] For the mystery of iniquity
doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out
of the way.[8] And then shall
that Wicked be revealed, whom
the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with
the brightness of his coming:[9] Even him, whose coming
is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,[10]
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because
they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[11]
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe
a lie:[12] That they all might
be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.[
13] But we are bound to give
thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath
from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit
and belief of the truth:[14]
Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our
Lord Jesus Christ.[15] Therefore,
brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether
by word, or our epistle.[16]
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved
us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,[
17] Comfort your hearts, and
stablish you in every good word and work.
