 Let’s pray

--------------------------------

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

Today is September 14th 2013

September -- the seventh month (now the 9th month, go figure)

Middle English septembre
Latin September
Latin
septem "seven" + -ber (adj. suffix)
Latin
september mensis "seventh month"

September had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

----------------------------------------------------

Yehovah has His own calendar

We are now in the 7th month called ha Ethanim – 7th day

הָ אֵ תָ נִים

The alef and tav, first and last (forever)

Ha Ethanim = “enduring” - the permanent brooks

הָאֵתָנִים - ha Ethanim - Always with the article ha, the - permanent brooks;

Ethanim = enduring - seventh month, corresponding end of Sept, Oct. - so named because permanent streams still flowed - plural of H386 below:

H386איתן  eythan - perpetual, constant, perennial, ever-flowing, ever-flowing (of a stream), permanence, permanent, enduring (figuratively)

Most people have never heard of ha Ethanim from scripture, they are brainwashed by Judaism to say Tishri which is nowhere in scripture.

Tishri and the made up Rosh Hashanah (New Years) are from the pagan Babylonian influence that came upon the Jews at that time.

The adoption of some of the Babylonian month names come from the Talmud, Rosh Hashanah

We are commanded by God:

Learn not the way of the heathen

Jer.10 [2] Thus saith Yehovah, Learn not the way of the heathen , and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

The customs of the people are vain

[3] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [4] They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Here is the verse for ha ethanim:

1Kgs.8[2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month ha Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

בְּיֶרַח הָאֵתָנִים, בֶּחָג--הוּא, הַחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי

Recap of the upcoming fall Holy days and feast

Remember, all my dates that I give you, start the evening before!

September

The Day of Atonement is going to be the 17th, Tuesday – a Sabbath.

The feast of Tabernacles is going to be the 22nd through the 29th. The 22nd and 29th are both on Sundays. There are 2 Sabbaths in this feast, one at the start and one at the end of the feast.

Remember we rehearse a Day of Atonement as part of the shadow of things to come, in someone’s life time, Messiah second coming, in the 7th month, ha ethanim.

Today's Topic:

A day of coverings (forever)

יוֹם הַכִּפֻּרִים

Genesis Chapter 6:14 - pitch כֹּפֶר, like the blood, a covering and the ark like Yeshua, salvation.

Gen. 6 [14] Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

וְכָפַרְתָּ אֹתָהּ מִבַּיִת וּמִחוּץ, בַּכֹּפֶר

כּפר kaphar - A primitive root; to cover); figuratively to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel: - appease, make (an) atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (-liation).

To cover, purge, make an atonement, make reconciliation, cover over with pitch

The "BLOOD" is still required for atonement and you need the Messiah’s blood that was shed for atonement, no more animal blood or sacrifices.

Rabbinical Judaism has tried to replace "the Blood Sacrifice" with fasting.

They reject Messiah’s shed blood

Shadows of Messiah

Messiah in both Blood Covenants, Testaments

Exod.24 [8] And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Yehovah hath made with you concerning all these words.

Luke.22 [20] Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament / covenant in my (Messiah’s) blood, which is shed for you.

---

Messiah, an offering for sin (Isa.53:10)

Isa.53 [10] Yet it pleased Yehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his (Messiah) soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yehovah shall prosper in his hand.

Messiah bares the sin (Isa.53:12)

Isa.53 [12] Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he (Messiah) bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

 --------

ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS FOREVER

No more daily sacrifice needed

Heb.7[ 27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once , when he offered up himself.

Rom.6[ 10] For in that he died, he died unto sin once

1Cor.5[7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah our passover is sacrificed for us:

Eph.5[2] And walk in love, as Messiah also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

A Day of Atonement is NOW, every day through Messiah

Heb.9

[1] Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
[2] For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
[3] And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
[4] Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
[5] And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

[6] Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

[7] But into the second went the high priest alone once every year,(a day of atonement)  not without blood, (fasting will not due) which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

[8] The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
[9] Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
[10] Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

[11] But Messiah being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;[12] Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

[13] For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an (red) heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

[14] How much more shall the blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

[15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

[16] For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
[17] For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

[18] Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.(fasting will not due)

[19] For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
[20] Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
[21] Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

[22] And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

[23] It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

[24] For Messiah is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
[25] Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year (a day of atonement) with blood of others;

[26] For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. ******

[27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
[28] So Messiah was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time (for them) without sin unto salvation.

----------------

I will now read Heb.10 and show you it came from TaNaKh

It was said:

Lev.16 [34] And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year (Day of Atonement)

It was explained:

Heb.10 [1] For the law having a shadow of good things to come , and "not the very image of the things", can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

[2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

-------

[4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

[5] Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not,

----

**Pss.40 [6] Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

----

**back to Heb.10

but a body hast thou prepared me: (verse 10, body of Yeshua, a person )

Heb.10 [6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. [7] Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

---

**Pss. 40 [7] Then said I , Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

---

**back to Heb.10

[8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;[9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God.

He taketh away the first ( example, pattern, animal sacrifice ), that he may establish the second (offering of the body of Yeshua the Messiah once for all.)

[10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Yeshua the Messiah once for all.

[11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

[12] But this man (Messiah), after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever , sat down on the right hand of God;[13] From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

---

**Pss.110 [1] The Yehovah said unto my Lord, Messiah,  Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

---

**back to Heb.10

[14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

[15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

**[16] This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith Yehovah, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;[17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

----

The New Covenant was given to Israel

Heb.8 [10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Yehovah; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:[11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yehovah: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.[12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Jer.31[31] Behold, the days come, saith the Yehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: [32] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith Yehovah:[33] But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yehovah, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.[34] And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yehovah: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Yehovah; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

----

**back to Heb.10

[18] Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

[19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to "enter into the holiest" by the blood of Yeshua,

[20] By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

[21] And having an high priest over the house of God;

[22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith , having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

----

**Lev.16 [14]

And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times. [15] Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

[19] And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

**Lev.16[4] He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water , and so put them on.

[24] And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.

[26] And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

[28] And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water , and afterward he shall come into the camp.

**back to Heb.10

23: Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24: And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together , as the manner of some is;

מקרא miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the palce); also a rehearsal

קדשׁ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness

but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26: For if we sin
wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (Messiah is not going to die for you again)

27: But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28: He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

[29] Of how much sorer
punishment , suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the (New) covenant , (Heb. 8:8, Jer. 31:31) wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

---

Exod. 24 [7] And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that Yehovah hath said will we do, and be obedient.[8] And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, (animal sacrifice, old covenant)  which Yehovah hath made with you concerning all these words.

----

**back to Heb.10

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith Yehovah . And again, Yehovah shall judge his people.

----

John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Isaiah 63:4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

Romans 12:19: Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine ; I will repay, saith Yehovah .

Deuteronomy 32:35 To me belongeth vengeance , and recompence ; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that hath said', Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense , saith Yehovah. And again, Yehovah shall judge his people.

Nahum 1:2 God is jealous, and Yehovah revengeth; Yehovah revengeth, and is furious; Yehovah will take'> vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

----

**back to Heb.10

31: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32: But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

33: Partly, whilst ye were made a
gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

34: For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

35: Cast not away therefore your confidence, (in Messiah) which hath great
recompense of reward.

36: For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. (of eternal life)

37: For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

38: Now the just shall live (eternally) by
faith (in Messiah’s blood): but if any man draw back,(to animal sacrifices) my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

---

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

----

**back to Heb.10

39: But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition (animal sacrifices); but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. (through Messiah)
