Shabbat Shalom

-------------------

All Welcome

-------------------------------

 Let’s pray

Today's topic: A review of many terms

--------------------

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory, from the 1500’s

It was said, the month May was named for the Greek goddess Maia, who was identified with the Roman era goddess of fertility.

Today is May 28, 2011

----

God has His own calendar

We are now in the 2nd month of God, Ziv / Zif24th day

1 Kgs. 6 [1] And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yehovah.

æÄå - ziv - brightness, (figuratively) the month of flowers

***Make sure you change your Judaism calendars – The 2nd month is not Iyyar as Judaism states, it is Ziv.

Here are the dates for 2011 again:

**Remember, all 2011 dates I give you start in the *evening before*

The Feast of Weeks (a Sabbath) will be Sunday June 12th

**Remember: There is one extra Sabbath left, besides the 7th day Sabbath each week

------------

**Remember: This is the “5th Sabbath” of the 7 Sabbaths we were told to count.

We are counting the "Sabbaths" not omers

An "omer" is a "sheaf" of barley - òîø

omer - A dry measure of 1/10 ephah  (about 2 liters)

-------------

Lev.23 [15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete:

[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

----------------------

Paul observing Pentecost / Feast of Weeks after the resurrection of Messiah

Acts 2 [1] And when the day of Pentecost / Feast of Weeks was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 20 [16] For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost / Feast of Weeks.

1 Cor. 16 [8] But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost / Feast of Weeks.

----------------------------------

I explain the Sabbath each week

This is how simple it is:

The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

3 - nor speaking thine own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

------------

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an "holy convocation"; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

The Sabbath is a "holy convocation"

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them,  What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

 ------------------------

60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath!

--------------------

Let's see what Yeshua, Paul and the Apostles did:

Acts 13 [13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.  [14] But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down.  [15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

----

Acts 13: [27] For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

----

Acts 13 [42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

----

First day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a Sabbath – Luke 23:56

Luke. 23 [56] And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

Esth. 3 [7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan

áÌÇçÉãÆùÑ äÈøÄàùÑåÉï, äåÌà çÉãÆùÑ ðÄéñÈï

-------------

We need to educate all people about God's feasts – 3 feasts not 7

These are not the feasts of the Jews, but feasts of Yehovah

Lev. 23 [2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah,îåÉòÂãÅé éÀäåÈä  which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.îåÉòÂãÈé

àÅìÌÆä îåÉòÂãÅé éÀäåÈä, îÄ÷ÀøÈàÅé ÷ÉãÆùÑ, àÂùÑÆøÎúÌÄ÷ÀøÀàåÌ àÉúÈí, áÌÀîåÉòÂãÈí

The Spring Feasts of Yehovah were fulfilled by the Messiah's first coming!

Passover - Pesach

Feast of Unleavened Bread / Hag HaMatzah

Day of Firstfruits / Bikkurim

Fifty day later:

Feast of Weeks/Shavuot- Pentecost where the Holy Spirit empowered the believers of Messiah.

---------

The "fall feast" and holy convocations represent the Second Coming of the Messiah.

The fall Feasts of Yehovah are in the "7th month called ha Ethanim not Tishri".

1Kgs.8 [2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month ha Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

Blowing of the Trumpets

Day of Atonement

Feast of tabernacles

[37]
These are the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations

---------

We need to educate all people about who should participate in God's feasts

Exod. 12 [48] And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to Yehovah, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land : for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

Ezek. 44 [7] In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary , to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations. [8] And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.[9] Thus saith Yehovah GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh , shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

---------

We need to educate all people about who was the new covenant given to?

We need to educate all people about what is the new covenant.

(Not renewed) The word renew is a verb and the word new is a adjective.

The New Covenant was given to Israel

Jer. 31: 31 -34 - Heb. 8: 7 - 13

Jer.31 [31] Behold, the days come, saith Yehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

[32] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith Yehovah

[33] But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yehovah, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[34] And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yehovah: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Yehovah; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Heb.8 [8] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith Yehovah, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

[9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, Yehovah

[10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Yehovah; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
[11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yehovah: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
[
12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

The "church - ekklesia"

The "church" did not start in the book of Acts, as stated by many pastors.

This means no Protestant Church; denominational or non-denominational were started in the Book of Acts. (Before 70 AD)

The Judaism of today started in approx. 200 AD to 500 AD when the Talmud was put together.

Catholics started approx. 325, 350 AD

Protestants started approx. from 1500 AD

-----

Acts 7:38 This is he (Moses), that was in the "church (ekklesia) in the wilderness" with the angel (Messiah) which spake to him in the mount Sina , and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us

:

1 Corinthians 10:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock / Messiah that followed them: and that Rock was Messiah.

9: Neither let us tempt Messiah, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

----------

What is the meaning of the word ekklesia in Greek?

The English word Christian, below is Messiah followers, not Protestants or Catholics.

Messiah followersîÀùÑÄéçÄ é îÀùÑÄéçÄéÌÄéí

Acts 11 [26] And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Acts 26 [28] Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

1 Pet. 4 [16] Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

---------

There are not "two bodies", the church and Israel, as stated by many rabbis, pastors and sudo Christians.  (Protestants or Catholics)

"ONE"

"ONE FAMILY"

Amos 3:2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth...

One family saved in Noah's time and Joshua's time at Jericho

---------

"We are all from One Blood"

Acts 17:

[23] For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD ( like most churches and synagogues) . Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. (The God of Israel)

[24] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

[25] Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

[26] And hath made of "one blood all nations of men" for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

[27] That they should seek Yehovah, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

[28] For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Num. 9 [14] And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto Yehovah; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance , both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

[20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,

groweth unto an holy temple in Yehovah:

builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Eph. 4 [4 ] There is one body, and one Spirit , even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

1 Cor. 10 [16] The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Messiah? The bread which we break , is it not the communion of the body of Messiah?

[ 17] For we being many are one bread ., and one body : for we are all partakers of that one bread .

1 Cor. 12 [12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Messiah. [13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free ; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit
