Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s

Today is September 1, 2018 - in the 21 Century

September -- the seventh month(now the 9th    month)

Middle English septembre
Latin September
Latin septem "seven" + -ber (adj. suffix)
Latin september mensis "
seventh month"

September had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

First day of Autumn September, 22

We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar

We are now in the 6th month of the God of Israel called Elul, day 20

Neh.6 [15] So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul , אֱלוּל in fifty and two days

Neh.7 [73] So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.

Today’s Topic:

Let’s review the coming feast and holy days

The 7th month, ha Ethanim has “4” extra Sabbaths

Possible dates for the feast and holy days

As we get closer, the days may change a day or two:

Possible new moon for the 7th month Tuesday the 11th or 12th           Wednesday that would be the Memorial of Trumpets

Day of Atonement the 20th Thursday or 21th Friday

Feast of Tabernacles 25th Tuesday or 26th Wednesday

Don’t feel confused, once we determine the correct new moon all the other day will fall into place.

Get ready for the coming feast and holy days in the 7th month of the God of Israel called ha Ethanim not Tishrei

Here is one simple verse below to prove it is the 7th month not new year, and it is called ha Ethanim not Tishrei, which is not found in the Hebrew Bible

1 Kgs.8 [2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

This verse proves: It is not New Year nor head of the year, Rosh ha Shannah nor when the world was created nor Adam’s birthday.

Exod.23 [16] … and the feast of ingathering, which is in (at, going to) the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

Judaism and some Messianics are wrong!

Let’s read:

Lev.23 [23] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

[25] Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.

[26] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[27] Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.

[28] And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before Yehovah your God.

[29] For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
[30] And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
[31] Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

[32] It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

[33] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto Yehovah.
[35] On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
[36] Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

[39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

[40] And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yehovah your God seven days.

[41] And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yehovah seven days in the year.

It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

[42] Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
[43] That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah

Feasts of Tabernacles mentioned in the Gospel of John

John 7

[2] Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. (Gentiles were not observing this feast)

[8] Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
[9] When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.
[10] But when his brethren were gone up, then went
he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
[11] Then the Jews sought him at
the feast, and said, Where is he?

[14] Now about the midst of the feast Yeshua went up into the temple, and taught.

[37] In the last day, that great day of the feast (the 8th day, the 22nd day of the 7th month ha ethanim), Yeshua stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
[38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
[39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Yeshua was not yet glorified.)

Lev.25 [9] Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

So why are we observing these days?

Paul says these days are a Shadow of “things" to come

Do they have a meaning for the future?

The fall Feast and Holy days of the God of Israel pertain to the second coming of Messiah in someone’s life time in the future.

Let’s read:

My Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign

Exod. 31

[13] Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Yehovah that doth sanctify you.

[ 14] Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

[15] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to Yehovah: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

[17 ] It is a sign between me (God) and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

All Sabbaths are Holy Convocations

Holy convocation

מקרא  miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

קדש   kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness

The 3 feasts and holydays of Yehovah are all about the Messiah’s 1st and 2nd comings

Shadows of “things" to come

http://oneinmessiah.net/col216b.asf

Paul is cautioning the Colossians in his letter

Here is 2:16:

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:

17: Which are a shadow of "things to come";(future tense)

But (and) the body is of Messiah / Christ.

---------------

Judge - κρινω krino: to try to condemn, to separate, put asunder, to pick out, to be of opinion, judge, to pronounce an opinion concerning right and wrong, to contend, to dispute

--------

Meat (food) or drink

God already told us what food to eat is scripture. Most people are eating things that have never been construed as food and are just poison.

We also know by scripture getting drunk, you can’t keep the commandments and another evil spirit enters into you. No drunkard will enter the kingdom of God.

--------

Holyday - εορτη heorte -heh-or-tay' - a feast, holyday

--------

New moon - νουμηνία - noumēnia - noo-may-nee'-ah - the observance of the new moon

--------

Sabbath days - σάββατον - sabbaton sab'-bat-on Of Hebrew origin – the Sabbath, 7th day of week repose from secular avocations. There are 7 extra Sabbaths in the feasts of Yehovah.

--------

Shadow - σκια skia : shadow, an image cast by an object and representing the form of that object, a sketch, outline

--------

The Second coming of Messiah

3 Feasts – 3 harvests

He was (as in a body form as the Messiah) - Feast of Unleavened Bread – barley harvest

He is (he came as the Holy Spirit) - Feast of Weeks – wheat harvest

He is to come (as the Almighty God) - Feast of Tabernacle – harvest of everything else

Rev.4 [8] And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

The last harvest

Two interesting facts:

Jubileיוֹבֵל - on the Day of Atonement

Releaseשְּׁמִטָּה - on the feast of tabernacles

-----------------

Jubilee, the fiftieth year – on the Day of Atonement

יוֹבֵל - יוֹם, הַכִּפֻּרִים

Deut. 31 [10] And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles, [11] When all Israel is come to appear before Yehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

[12] Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear Yehovah your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
[13] And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear Yehovah your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

In closing:

Remember the Sabbath, how to keep it

זכר  zâkar - zaw-kar' - A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, still, think on, well.

----------

Holy Convocation

מקרא   miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

קדשׁ   kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness

----------

משׁב/מושׁב

Dwelling - môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, situation, location, (at) time of dwelling

You should see the terrible situation the world is in today

The name of God’s 7th month – ha ethanim

God’s feast in the 7th month, feast of tabernacles

God’s holy days in 7th month, the 4 extra Sabbaths in these days

The time of the year these days occur in God’s calendar - 7th month

God’s Jubilee, proclaiming liberty!

God’s year of Release!

Is all deleted and replaced

------------

We have a huge job of restoring the truths of our God of Israel to this lost world. Get to work!

I have a question:

Rev.10 [7] but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets

Is this the mystery of God that will be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets:

The last Day of Atonement /Jubile and The last Feast of Tabernacles / Release?

Shabbat Shalom

Misc:

Sabbath in a little more detail, if you need it to obserce it correctly

This is how simple it is:

Gen.2

[1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
[2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Back to Exod. 20:10

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy (your) gates:

2 - nor finding thine (your) own pleasure,

3 - nor speaking thine (your) own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
