Learn not the way of the heathen
Jer.10 [2] Thus saith Yehovah, Learn not the way of the heathen , and be not
dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. [3] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree
out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
[4] They deck it with
silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move
not.
[5] They are upright as
the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be
borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil,
neither also is it in them to do good.
Jer. 16 [19] Yehovah,
my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the
Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have
inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Before I start this Sabbath study, I always feel I need to
mention that the Sabbath is not "a service" for an hour and a half, but the Sabbath is a
"whole 24 hr. day" to the God of Israel, the 4th Commandment.
The word Sabbath is "60 times"
in the Gospels and letters
Luke 23:56 below, calls the Sabbath a Commandment and a rest as in the 10 Commandments -
Exodus 20 and Deut. 5
Luke 23:56 And they returned,
and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment. (In - Exodus 20 and Deut. 5)
Question: S0 why are we
here today?
Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy
The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment and part of the
“covenant” given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan
Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou labour,
and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah
thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor
thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle,
nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and
earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Lev. 23 [1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,
Concerning the feasts of Yehovah,
which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations,
even these are my feasts.
[3] Six days shall work be done: but the
seventh day is the sabbath
of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no
work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

Unto this day, some people are still breaking the 4th
commandment each week by not keeping the Sabbath as it is described above.

The invisible God
John. 4 [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship
Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Rom. 1 [20] For the invisible
things of him (Yeshua) from
the creation of the world are clearly seen, being
understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[21]
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was
darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God
into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their
own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between
themselves:
[25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the
