Shabbat Shalom

   שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

----------------

 Let’s pray

--------------------------------------------

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

August 12th, 2017 - in the 21 Century

August -- Augustus Caesar's month

Latin Augustus "Augustus"
Latin Augustus mensis "month of Augustus"
Latin sextilis mensis "sixth month"

Sextilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Augustus Caesar clarified and completed the calendar reform of Julius Caesar. In the process, he also renamed this month after himself.

 -----------------

We acknowledge God’s calendar

We are now in:

The 5th month of God which has no name, 19th day

Judaism calls the 5th month Av which is not in the Hebrew Bible nor is scriptural

 Today’s topic:

Always two paths to travel

Some good advice and lessons below:

Phil.4 [6] be careful for nothing; (take thought for everything)

but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Yeshua said: Matt.15 [9] But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Doctrine: instruction (the function or the information): - doctrine, learning, teaching.

2 Cor.2 [17] For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Messiah.

2 Cor.4[1] Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
[2] But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
[3] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
[4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Messiah, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Pet.3 [15] account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; [16] As also in all his (Paul / Saul) epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest (pervert), as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. [17] Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
[18] But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Yeshua the Messiah. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Another = altered, different

2 Cor.11 [3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Messiah. [4] For if he that cometh preacheth another Yeshua, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. = another words, receive his doctrine, submit to his authority, and prefer him to the apostles very bad!

Gal.1 [6] I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Messiah unto another gospel:
[7] Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Messiah.

[8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

-------------------------

[9] As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Matt.24 [23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Messiah, or there; believe it not.
[24] For there shall arise false Messiahs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

[25] Behold, I have told you before.
[26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Luke 17: [22] And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
[23] And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
[24] For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

2 John 1 [9] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Messiah, hath not God.

He that abideth in the doctrine of Messiah, he hath both the Father and the Son.
[10] If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
[11] For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Rom.16 [17] Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

[18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Eph.4[14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

1Tim.1 [1] Paul, an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Yeshua the Messiah, which is our hope;
[
2] Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.
[
3] As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
[
4] Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
[
5] Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
[
6] From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
[
7] Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1Tim.6 [1] Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
[
2] And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
[
3] If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Yeshua Messiah, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
[4] He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
[
5] Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

[6] But godliness with contentment is great gain.
[7] For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
[8] And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

1Tim.4 [1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
[
2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
[
3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
[
4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
[
5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

2 Tim. 2 [23] But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
[24] And the servant of Yehovah must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
[25] In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
[26] And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

2Tim.4 [1] I charge thee therefore before God, and Yehovah Yeshua the Messiah, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
[
2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
[
3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[
4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Tit.3 [9] But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

[10] A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject;
[11] Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Heb.13 [9] Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines.

the variety and multitude of other doctrines even today 2017

2Kgs.17

[32] So they feared Yehovah, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.

[33] They feared Yehovah, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.

[41] So these nations feared Yehovah, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.

Actually:

[34] Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not Yehovah, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which Yehovah commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;

[35] With whom Yehovah had made a covenant, and charged them saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:
[36] But Yehovah, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.

[37] And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods.
[38] And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods.

[39] But Yehovah your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.
[40] Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.

------------

I feel related to Ezekiel

Ezek.33

[30] Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses,

and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from Yehovah.
[31] And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their  covetousness.

[32] And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

[33] And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

Years later Yeshua said the same message: John 3  [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

------------

Matt.7 [21] not everyone that says unto Me, Yeshua, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father which is in heaven.

[22] Many will say to Me, Yeshua, in that day:

Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name?

and in Thy name have cast out devils?

and in Thy name done many wonderful works?

[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

[24] Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
[25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

[26] And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
[27] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Ben Asher Hebrew Text – 10th century

Biblia Hebraica

In 1937, Kittel changed his Hebrew text from the Ben Chayyim to the Ben Asher text. His 1937 edition had about 20,000 changes from the Ben Chayyim text.

In 1966 there was a further revision of Kittel's Biblia Hebraica called "Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia," which was also based on the Ben Asher text.

This new edition of Kittel is generally referred to as BHS. The revision was the work of unbelieving German rationalists, and represents theologically liberal modernism in its worst form. The 1937 BHK and the newer BHS are not only based on a few minor Hebrew manuscripts which contain many erroneous footnotes, but "corrections" were often made to these already inadequate and corrupt texts by referring to such things as the "Septuagint" or "LXX", which is nothing more than the Hebrew Scriptures translated into the Greek language. The "Septuagint" is a poor translation at best of the Hebrew due mainly to the fact that it does not follow the verbal and formal rules of translation, but is largely a paraphrase, changing the wording wherever the translators desired, seeking to "clarify" the meaning of the original, they say.

According to the Encyclopedia Judaica (1971) its author, Rudolph Kittel, was an anti-Semite and a believer in Hellenistic mystery religions. His son, Gerhard Kittel, was tried and convicted at Nuremburg as a Nazi war criminal.

Gerhard Kittel gave open theological support for Hitler’s extermination of the Jews during the Nazi Holocaust. He also authored The Theological Dictionary of the New Testament that bears his name. Many seminaries use it today.

His father’s Hebrew text, known as the Biblia Hebraica, is based on the Leningrad B 19a manuscript of the Old Testament. The Catholic-led translation committees for several other modern versions of the Bible use it also.

The Textus Receptus follows the Masoretic text.

Rudolph Kittel’s Biblia Hebraica does not.

Yeshua said - Matt.7 [13] Enter ye in at the strait gate:

For

Wide is the gate, and Broad is the way, that leads to destruction,

and Many there be which go in there at:

[14] Because Strait is the gate, and Narrow is the way, which leads unto Life,

and Few there be that find it.

To sum this up:

Wide, Broad, Many, Destruction

Strait, Narrow, Few, Life
