August -- Augustus
Caesar's month
Latin Augustus "Augustus"
Latin Augustus mensis "month of Augustus"
Latin sextilis mensis "sixth month"
Sextilis had 30 days,
until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.
Augustus Caesar clarified and
completed the calendar reform of Julius Caesar. In the process, he also renamed
this month after himself.
God has His own calendar
We are now in the
fifth month of God, 19th day. The fifth month has no biblical name in
scripture.
Judaism calls this month "AV", not
a good thing.
The
name is Babylonian in origin and appeared in the Talmud around the 3rd
century. This name is not in the Scriptures
The name "Av", like many of the other names of months in
the Jewish religious calendar, came with the Jews that returned to the Land of
Israel from their exile in Babylon

Spiritual Giants in Scripture
Are you ready for the Giants
in your life?
These giants maybe people, friends, relatives, situations, events,
sickness, disease, financial stress, etc. to discourage you from serving the
God of Israel, watch out!
Don't let anyone discourage
you from serving God
Some say - Mal. 3 [14] Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we
have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before Yehovah of hosts?
Physical Giants to
discourage you
Deut. 2 [10]
The Emims dwelt therein in
times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims;
[11]
Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites
call them Emims .
[20 ] (That also was
accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites
call them Zamzummims ;
Deut. 3 [11]
For only Og king of Bashan
remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead
of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the
length thereof ( approx. 13 feet ), and four cubits the breadth of it, after
the cubit of a man.

And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that
had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and

when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea the brother of David
slew him.[22] These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the

Satan is the main Giant to
watch out for
1 Pet.4 [12]
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery
trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you :
[13]
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Messiah's sufferings; that, when his glory
shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
[14]
If ye be reproached for the name of Messiah, happy are ye; for the spirit of
glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is
evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
2 Cor.10 [ 3] For though we walk
in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:[4 ] (For
the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the
pulling down of strong holds;)
[5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the
obedience of Messiah;
[6] And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience
is fulfilled.
Rev. 12 [12 ] Therefore rejoice,
ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of
the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath,
because he knoweth that he hath but a
short time.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to
make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and
have the testimony of Jesus Messiah.
1Pet. 5 [8 ] Be sober, be
vigilant; because your adversary the devil , as
a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom
he may devour:

Acts 14
-22 Paul was confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to
continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the
kingdom of God.
Mark 10 [
29] And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man
that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife,
or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,[30] But he shall
receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and

2 Tim 3 [1] This know
also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
[2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters,

[8] Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so

[9] But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest
unto all men, as theirs also was.
[10] But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose,

Iconium, at Lystra; what persecution
s I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

Messiah Yeshua shall suffer persecution.
Rom.8
[ 35] Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution , or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword?
[ 36] As it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day
long;
we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
[37]
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
[38]
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor
things to come,
[39 ] Nor height, nor
depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of
God, which is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord.
Satan was cast out of heaven
to this "earth", beware!
Luke
10[18] And he said unto them, I,
(Yeshua) beheld Satan
as lightning fall from heaven.
Rev.12
[4] And his (Satan’s tail) tail drew the third part of the stars of
heaven, and did cast them to the earth:

[7] And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,[8]
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
[9]
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent,
called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he
was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
At the end - [10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now
is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of
his Messiah: for the accuser of our brethren is cast
down, which accused them before our God day and night.
[11]
And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of
the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives
unto the death.[12] Therefore
rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.
Woe to the inhabiters of the
earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath,
because he knoweth that he hath but a
short time.
[13]
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto
the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
[14]
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into
the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times,
and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
[15] And the serpent cast out of his mouth water
as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the
flood.
[16] And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and
swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out
of his mouth.

beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the
days of thy life:[15] And I will put
enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall
bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Job 2[1]
Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before Yehovah, and Satan came also among them to present
himself before Yehovah.[2] And Yehovah said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered Yehovah, and said, From
going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.[3]
And Yehovah said unto Satan, Hast
thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a
perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity,
although thou movedst me against him, to
destroy him without cause.
1Pet.
5 [8] Be sober, be vigilant; because
your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom
he may devour:
Matt.
4 [3] And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the
Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
1Thes.
3 [5] For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I
sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
Give no place to the devil
Eph.
4 [27] Neither give place to the devil.
Prince of the power of the
air is a spirit
Eph.2
[2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to
the course of this world, according to the prince of
the power of the air, the spirit
that now worketh in the children of
disobedience:
Angel of light, Satan’s
ministers in congregations, beware!

Cor.11 [14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.[15] Therefore it is no
great thing if his (Satan’s) ministers also be transformed
as the ministers of righteousness;

The prince of Tyrus, king of Tyrus, the king of Babylon and the man
of sin are men but look close, they have many attributes of Satan,
It is SATAN!
Ezek.28[1] The word of Yehovah came again unto me,
saying,

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord Yehovah; Because thine heart is lifted up,
and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of
God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set
thine heart as
the heart of God:
[3] Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they
can hide from thee:
[4]
With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou
hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
[5]
By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased
thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up
because of thy riches:
[6]
Therefore thus saith the Lord Yehovah; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart
of God;
[7]
Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the
nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and
they shall defile thy brightness.

They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of
them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no
God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with
violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of
the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O
covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Thine heart was
lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by
reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground; I will lay thee
before kings, that they may behold thee.

Now, the
king of Babylon (Satan)
Isa. 14 [4]
That thou shalt take up this proverb
against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
[5] Yehovah hath broken the staff of the wicked,
and the sceptre of the rulers.[6]
He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the
nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.[7] The whole

the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou
art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at

All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house

not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Messiah, and by
our gathering together unto him,[2] That ye be not soon shaken in mind,

that the day of Messiah is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there
come a falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition;
[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself
above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, shewing himself
that he is God.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?[6]
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
[7]
For the mystery of iniquity doth already
work:
only he (God) who now letteth will let until he
(Satan), be taken out of the way.
[8]
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom
the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming:
[9] Even him, whose coming is
after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
[10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that
perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be
saved.
[11] And for this cause God shall send them strong
delusion, that they should believe a lie:
[12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but
had pleasure in unrighteousness.

magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the

Spiritual Advice
Eph. 6 [10] Finally, my brethren, be
strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11]
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may
be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12]
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13]
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14]
Stand therefore, having
your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness;
[15]
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace
[16]
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all
the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17]
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the
word of God:
[18]
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints..

strong people have healthy habits
Mentally strong people manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in ways
that set them up for success in life.
Check out these things that mentally strong people don’t
do so that you too can become more mentally strong.
1. They Don’t Waste Time Feeling Sorry
for Themselves
Mentally strong people don’t sit around feeling sorry
about their circumstances or how others have treated them. Instead, they take
responsibility for their role in life and understand that life isn’t always
easy or fair.
2. They Don’t Give Away Their Power
They don’t allow others to control them, and they don’t
give someone else power over them. They don’t say things like, “My boss makes
me feel bad,” because they understand that they are in control over their own
emotions and they have a choice in how they respond.
3. They Don’t Shy Away from Change
Mentally strong people don’t try to avoid change. Instead,
they welcome positive change and are willing to be flexible. They understand
that change is inevitable and believe in their abilities to adapt.
4. They Don’t Waste Energy on Things
They Can’t Control
You won’t hear a mentally strong person complaining over
lost luggage or traffic jams. Instead, they focus on what they can control in
their lives. They recognize that sometimes, the only thing they can control is
their attitude.
5. They Don’t Worry About Pleasing
Everyone
Mentally strong people recognize that they don’t need to
please everyone all the time. They’re not afraid to say no or speak up when
necessary. They strive to be kind and fair, but can handle other people being
upset if they didn’t make them happy.
6. They Don’t Fear Taking Calculated
Risks
They don’t take reckless or foolish risks, but don’t mind
taking calculated risks. Mentally strong people spend time weighing the risks
and benefits before making a big decision, and they’re fully informed of the
potential downsides before they take action.
7. They Don’t Dwell on the Past
Mentally strong people don’t waste time dwelling on the
past and wishing things could be different. They acknowledge their past and can
say what they’ve learned from it.
However, they don’t constantly relive bad
experiences or fantasize about the glory days. Instead, they live for the present and plan for the future.
8. They Don’t Make the Same Mistakes
Over and Over
Mentally strong people accept responsibility for their
behavior and learn from their past mistakes. As a result, they don’t keep
repeating those mistakes over and over. Instead, they move on and make better
decisions in the future.
9. They Don’t Resent Other People’s
Success
Mentally strong people can appreciate and celebrate
other people’s success in life. They don’t grow jealous or feel cheated
when others surpass them. Instead, they recognize that success comes with hard
work, and they are willing to work hard for their own chance at success.
10. They Don’t Give Up After the First
Failure
Mentally strong people don’t view failure as a reason to
give up. Instead, they use failure as an opportunity to grow and improve. They
are willing to keep trying until they get it right.
11. They Don’t Fear Alone Time
Mentally strong people can tolerate being alone and they
don’t fear silence. They aren’t afraid to be alone with their thoughts and they
can use downtime to be productive. They enjoy their own company and aren’t
dependent on others for companionship and entertainment all the time but
instead can be happy alone.
12. They Don’t Feel the World Owes
Them Anything
Mentally strong people don’t feel entitled to things in
life. They weren’t born with a mentality that others would take care of them (ex.
Gov.) or that the world must give them something. Instead, they look for
opportunities based on their own merits.
13. They Don’t Expect Immediate
Results
Whether they are working on improving their health or
getting a new business off the ground, mentally strong people don’t expect
immediate results. Instead, they apply their skills and time to the best of
their ability and understand that real change takes time.
