God’s New Year is in Spring, when all is “new” again

Behavior

1Sam. 18 [14] And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and Yehovah was with him.

1Chr.19 [13] Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let Yehovah do that which is good in his sight.

Pss.101

[1] I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, Yehovah, will I sing.
[2] I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

Charity = Messiah and His Personality and Attributes

1Cor.13

[1] Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
[2] And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
[3] And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it
profiteth me nothing.

[4] Messiah - Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

[5] Messiah - Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

[6] Messiah - Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

[7] Messiah - Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

[8] Messiah - Charity never faileth:

but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

[9] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

[10] But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

[11] When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

[12] For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

How to treat people of God, your neighbors

 

Exod. 20

[12] Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which Yehovah thy God giveth thee.
[13] Thou shalt not kill.
[14] Thou shalt not commit adultery.
[15] Thou shalt not steal.
[16] Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy
neighbour.
[17] Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

 

Lev. 19  [17] Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart:

thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

 [18] Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am Yehovah.

Joy shall be “in heaven” over one sinner that repents

[1] Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
[2] And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying,
This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.


[3] And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
[4] What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
[5] And when he hath found it, he
layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
[6] And when
he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

[7] I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.


[8] Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
[9] And when she hath found it, she
calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

[10] Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

 

[11] And he said, A certain man had two sons:
[12] And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that
falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

[13] And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
[14] And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
[15] And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
[16] And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
[17] And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
[18] I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee

[19] And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

[20] And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
[21] And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
[22] But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet

[23] And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
[24] For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

 

[25] Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
[26] And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
[27] And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
[28] And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and
intreated him.
[29] And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never
gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
[30] But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.


[31] And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
[32] It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found

Cease to do evil

Prov.23 [21] For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Prov.26 [9] As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

1Cor.6 [9] Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
[10] Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

 

Gal.5 [13] For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
[14] For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[15] But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

[16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
[17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
[18] But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. (under arrest)

[19] Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
[20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
[21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

[22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
[23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
[24] And they that are Messiah’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
[25] If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
[26] Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

 

Exod. 23:[2] Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

 

Isa.1 [16] Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

[17] Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

[18] Come now, and let us reason together, saith Yehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
[19] If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land
:
[20] But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

Fret = to feel or express worry, annoyance, discontent, or the like

 

Fret not thyself in any wise to do evil

Pss.37

[1] Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

[2] For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

[3] Trust in Yehovah, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

[4] Delight thyself also in Yehovah; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

[5] Commit thy way unto Yehovah; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
[6] And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

[7] Rest in Yehovah, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

[8] Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

 

[9] For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon Yehovah, they shall inherit the earth.
[10] For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be
.

 

[11] But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

 

[12] The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
[13] Yehovah shall laugh at him: for he
seeth that his day is coming.
[14] The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
[15] Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.


[16] A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

[17] For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but Yehovah upholdeth the righteous.


[18] Yehovah knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be
for ever.
[19] They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

[20] But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of Yehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
[21] The wicked
borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

[22] For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

[23] The steps of a good man are ordered by Yehovah: and he delighteth in his way.
[24] Though he
fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for Yehovah upholdeth him with his hand.
[25] I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

[26] He is ever merciful, and
lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

 

[27] Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.


[28] For Yehovah
loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

[29] The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
[30] The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue
talketh of judgment.
[31] The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.


[32] The wicked
watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.


[33] Yehovah will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
[34] Wait on Yehovah, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.


[35] I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
[36] Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.


[37] Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

[38] But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.


[39] But the salvation of the righteous is of Yehovah: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
[40] And Yehovah shall help them and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

 Prov. 24[19] Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked;[20] For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

Pss. 97 [10] Ye that love Yehovah, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Prov. 6 [16] These six things doth Yehovah hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

[17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
[18] An heart that
deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

[19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

1 Pet. 3 [9] Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

2 Pet.2 [11] Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before Yehovah.

 

Jude.1 [9] Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, Yehovah rebuke thee.

Pss.31 [6] I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in Yehovah.

Jonah 2 [8] They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

Scripture tells us we are supposed to let our light shine before men, that they may see our good works, and glorify our father which is in heaven.

Matt.5 [13] Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
[14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on
an hill cannot be hid.
[15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
