Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s

Today is Oct. 22, 2016

October -- the eighth month – now it is the 10th month

Middle English octobre
Latin October
Latin
octo "eight" + -ber (adj. suffix)
Latin
october mensis "eighth month"

October has always had 31 days.

 -----------------

 Yehovah has His own calendar

We are now in the 7th month, ha Ethanim, day 20, of the God of Israel

A part of October and November

------------

Here is the date that is left for this year, 2016

Reminder: starts Sunday evening

Monday, October 24th, 2016 – a Sabbath - a solemn assembly - a holy convocation - the feast of tabernacles

The feast of the year's end (the last harvest of the year)

It is NOT New Year. It is the 7th month

Exodus 34:22 and the feast of ingathering at the year's end

----------------

The name ha Ethanim has been deleted from the world

1Kgs.8 [2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month ha Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

The Gregorian calendar calls it October and Judaism and some Messianics call it Tishri which is not found in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Here is what is missing

God calls it ha Ethanim

הָ אֵ תָ נִים

אֵ תָ

God is the Alef and Tav, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending

The Alpha and Omega is the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet

-----

הָ אֵ תָ נִים

Ha Ethanim = “enduring” - the permanent brooks, water

 הָאֵתָנִים - ha Ethanim

הָ    Ha, the  (the definite article)

אֵ  aleph   (first letter in Hebrew alphabet)

תָ   tov   (last letter in Hebrew alphabet)

נִים neem  permanent brooks

הָאֵתָנִים -  ha Ethanim always has the definite article ha, “the”, which means the permanent brooks, enduring, so named because permanent streams, water still flowed - plural of the below word:

איתן eythan - perpetual, constant, perennial, ever-flowing, ever-flowing (of a stream), permanence, permanent, enduring - water

Are you ready for "an enduring", "permanent", "perpetual" fountain of living waters?

Messiah is the Living waters מַיִם חַיִּים

Jer. 2 [13] For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

---------------

Jer. 17 [13] Yehovah, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Yehovah, the fountain of living waters .

---------------

Most people have never heard of ha Ethanim from scripture, they are brainwashed by websites, books by Judaism and some Messianics to say Tishri which is nowhere in scripture.

--------------------

Let’s talk again about the Sabbath (or any Sabbath)

The Sabbath, the 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

Exod. 20

[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

זכר zâkar - zaw-kar' - A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Deut. 5

[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yehovah thy God hath commanded thee.

[13] Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:

[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done:

But the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;

ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

Dwelling מושׁב - môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, your situation, location, (or at the) time of dwelling

The Sabbath is a "holy convocation"

מקרא  miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

קדשׁ  kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness to the God of Israel

No Servile work- melakat avodah   מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה

עֲבֹדָה avodah - work of any kind: act, bondservant, labor, service, tillage, work

מְלֶאכֶת melakat – occupation

Do you understand this 4th commandment of God and what it entails now?

This 4th commandment reminds me of Genesis 1, the 4th day

[14] And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

These 2 lights tell us many things.

For example, time as we know it, when a new day is coming, when a new month is coming, a change in Yehovah’s calendar. When Yehovah’s appointed times, feasts will come, when different seasons arrive and many other things.

[15] And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
[16] And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

[17] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

[18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

[19] And the evening and the morning were the 4th day.

Yehovah separated the light from the rest of darkness on the 4th day.

Just like the Sabbath, the 4th commandment is separated from the rest of the days of the week.

Just like Yeshua and we are to be separate from sinners, Darkness

Saul tells us:

1 Thes.5 [5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

 ------------------

Yah’s fall feasts

Lev.23

[1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of
Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the
sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

[33] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto
Yehovah.

[35] On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
[36] Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto
Yehovah: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you;

and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

-----------------------

[37] These are the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
[38] Beside the
sabbaths of Yehovah, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto Yehovah.

----------------------

[39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.

[40] And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yehovah your God seven days.

[41] And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yehovah seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

[42] Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:

[43] That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah your God.

[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of Yehovah.

Sad, most people are oblivious that Yah’s feast and holy days will come to an end for this year very soon again. They are spiritually blind.

Genesis 6:[5] And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

[6] And it repented Yehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

[7] And Yehovah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

How do you think He, Yehovah may feel today?

Today’s Topic:

Beware, the False Feasts, holidays are at hand!

Tis the season to be pagan, ho, ho, ho” is already around us!

Here are just a few of the big pagan holidays to come soon:

Halloween - Also called All Hallows Eve, All Saints' Eve, , Samhain, Hallowed End

Halloween started 2,000 years ago in Celtic Ireland, which is now Great Britain , France , and Ireland . The Celtic New Year was celebrated on November 1 st . New Years Eve, or All Hallows Eve, was called “Samhain.” All Hallows Eve is the name from which Halloween originated. Samhain was the most important holiday of the year. On this day summer officially ended, and it was believed that spirits of people who had died that year came back to the world of the living looking for a body to possess for the following year.

On Samhain all of the people who lived in Celtic Ireland would put out their hearth fires in order to frighten the spirits. The town would also have a noisy parade and ghoulish costumes would be worn to scare away the spirits from possessing someone's body

-----------------

Thanksgiving - George Washington proclaimed a National Day of Thanksgiving in 1789 – thank what god, no god, whatever…

-----------------

Kwanzaa - Ron Karenga (aka Dr. Maulana Ron Karenga) invented the seven-day feast (Dec. 26-Jan. 1) in 1966, branding it a black alternative to Christmas. The idea was to celebrate the end of what he considered the Christmas-season exploitation of African Americans.

---------------

ChristmasXMAS - Once Upon A Time, Christmas Was Banned in 1659 in America

The following is a quote from the Encyclopedia Brittanica, Volume 11 ; page 390.

"During the later periods of Roman history, sun worship gained in importance and ultimately led to what has been called a 'solar monotheism.' Nearly all the gods of the period were possessed of Solar qualities, and both Christ and Mithra acquired the traits of solar seities.

The feast of Sol and Victus (open unconquered Sun) on December 25th was celebrated with great joy, and eventually this date was taken over by the Christians as Christmas, the birthday of Christ." !!

The Christians were trying to get more converts So they adapted a pagan holiday to their worship to appease the pagans in 336 AD.

The Encyclopaedia Britannica reports that "The traditional customs connected with Christmas have developed from several sources as a result of the coincidence of the celebration of the birth of Christ with the pagan agricultural and solar observations at midwinter. In the Roman world the Saturnalia (December 17) was a time of merrymaking and exchange of gifts. December 25 was also regarded as the birth date of the Iranian mystery god Mithra, the Sun of Righteousness."

Colliers Encyclopedia agrees. Quote: "After the triumph of Constantine, the church at Rome assigned December 25 as the date for the celebration of the feast, possibly about A.D. 320 or 353. By the end of the fourth century the whole Christian world was celebrating Christmas on that day, with the exception of the Eastern churches, where it was celebrated on January 6. The choice of December 25 was probably influenced by the fact that on this day the Romans celebrated the Mithraic feast of the Sun-god (natalis solis invicti), and that the Saturnalia also came at this time."

Both encyclopedias plainly reveal that the source of the celebration of December 25 is the birthday of Mithra, the pagan sun god.

Sun worshippers since the time of Babel recognized this time of year in honor of their gods.

1st century believers, taught personally by Christ, did not celebrate His birthday. 2nd century theologians condemned the thought. Only after severe persecution, destruction and inaccessibility of biblical scripture and the blending of pagan doctrine with the worship of God was the Mithraic celebration of December 25th proclaimed to be "Christian" in nature.

These facts are well documented. They can be found in any encyclopedia.

There is no way to "Christianize" the birthday of the sun god. Anyone with access to a computer with a internet connection, or an encyclopedia can know better and those with theological degrees of yesteryear did!

Oh well…

I am reminded always to inform you to beware of the false image of love, false emotions, loneliness, depression, financial drain, suicide and the artificial false festival lights they put up.

Satan really sets the stage for you with artificial light, music and decorations.

Beware if you feel or hear a voice telling you to separate yourself from the congregation, go off on your own and read, study or whatever.

Beware, Satan’s holidays are coming

Agree to disagree on made up feasts? NO!

Isa. 5 [20] Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil ;that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

[21] Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

[22] Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:

[23] Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him.

We are commanded by Yah - Learn not the way of the heathen

Jer.10 [2] Thus saith Yehovah, Learn not the way of the heathen , and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

The customs of the people are vain

[3] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [4] They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not.

Jer.6 [16] Thus saith Yehovah, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, we will not walk therein. (Like most of the world today)

Many stores started selling Halloween trash in August and September. Halloween is Oct.31

A short History of Halloween: The origin of Halloween is the Celtic Festival of Samhain (sow win), lord of death and evil spirits.

A modern dictionary: Samhain (sah win) an ancient Celtic festival held on Nov. 1 - It marked the beginning of winter and the beginning of a new year. It is today celebrated by modern pagans

Wake up!

Agree to disagree? Tolerance? Political correctness? on any false thing - NO!

Amos.3 [3] Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

---------------

Agree to disagree with unbelievers? NO!

2 Cor. 6:14

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

[15] And what concord hath Messiah with Belial?

Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

[16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?

for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

[17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith Yehovah, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

[18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith Yehovah Almighty.

--------------

Agree to disagree with all doctrines?  NO!

1Tim.1 [3] As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

[4] Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

2 John1 [10] If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine,

receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

[11] For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Rom.16 [17] Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. [18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple

Eph.5 [11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Tit.1 [10] For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:

[11] Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

[12] One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.

[13] This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

[14] Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

I always find it amazing that statistics and data are always compiled for such fraudulent causes that have no realistic value.

Check this: National Retail Federation site:

https://nrf.com/news/the-evolution-of-halloween-3-trends-watch

The evolution of Halloween: 3 trends to watch

Millennial consumers (ages 18-34) are now the most likely of all adult generations to participate in Halloween.

They’re also one of the top spenders on Halloween costumes, spending an average $42.39 compared with $31.03 for all adults. This cohort has big plans for those costumes too: their intent to attend parties is up 10.9 percent from 2006.

So what’s with the sudden interest in this holiday? It could be “social media”. A decade ago, a partygoer could get away with showing up without a costume and nobody would know except the people in the room.

In 2016, consumers have ideas and tutorials at their fingertips.

Nearly three in 10 adults ages 18-34 (28.4 percent) turn to Pinterest and 23.3 percent turn to YouTube for costume inspiration. Interestingly, men and women are finding their inspiration in different ways. Women are more than twice as likely to be influenced by Pinterest, while men are over 50 percent more likely than women to use YouTube.

In the era of Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat, there is no hiding a bad costume — and a clever costume makes for a buzzworthy addition to digital timelines.

Retailers can be a part of the action by helping consumers find everything they need to enjoy a seasonal party.

For retail Halloween inspiration, Wal-Mart offers party tips on its website, Whole Foods collects do-it-yourself recipe ideas on Pinterest and Target pins “Epic Halloween” costume and decoration ideas.

Trick-or-treating isn’t what it used to be

The number of families planning to head out door-to-door for this tradition is up slightly from last year but still not as high as a few years back.

In fact, 2016 represents the second-lowest reading for trick-or-treating (29.7 percent). This is not due to lack of celebrating, though.

Community events such as parking lot “Trunk-or-Treating” and Halloween festivals are popping up across the country as alternative options.

With concerns over food ingredients like sugar, gluten and nuts — and the general fear of taking candy from strangers — it’s not surprising to see parents looking for safer celebrations.

Retail stores are central gathering places in many communities and would be a natural fit for hosting, sponsoring or participating in Halloween events.

With plans to dress up at the highest level ever (47 percent), hosting costume fashion shows or contests could also be an opportunity to connect with customers. The number of people planning to carve a pumpkin (45.5 percent) and visit haunted houses (20.9 percent) is also up, indicating that enthusiasm for candy might be fizzling in favor of experiences and events.

NRF’s annual “Top Costumes” survey doesn’t divide rankings by gender, but with a recent shift from “princess” to “superhero” as the top costume, there’s reason to believe that both boys and girls are influencing the trend. From Star Wars’ Rey to the Super girl  television series to an upcoming reboot of Wonder Woman, pop culture is providing girls with plenty of action hero inspiration.

A shift toward gender-neutral styles has reached children’s clothing and children’s toys to the point that pet owners are wondering if their dog and cat costumes are sexist.

With children’s costume spending expected to reach an all-time high of $1.17 billion and 16 percent of consumers planning to dress up their pets, retailers should remain sensitive to gender stereotypes, noting that parents and pet owners will be as well.

The world has gone nuts………

Again, Beware of "False Feasts"

Please Don't kiss the calves, it is sin, a lie

Hos.13  [2] And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen : they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

A "False" feast is sin

We will read

Exod.32 one calf - sin

1Kgs.12 two calves - sin

A "False" feast is sin, a lie

Exod.32 one calf

[1] And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
[2] And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.
[3] And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

[4] And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf : and they said,

These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

[5 ] And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, Tomorrow is a feast to Yehovah .

[6] And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

[7] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
[8] They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

[9] And Yehovah said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
[10] Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.
[11] And Moses besought
Yehovah his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?
[12] Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say,
For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.
[13] Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou
swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.
[14] And
Yehovah repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
[15] And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
[16] And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.
[17] And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.
[18] And he said,
It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.
[19] And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the
dancing : and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.
[20] And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and
strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

[21] And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?
[22] And Aaron said,
Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief.
[23] For they said unto me,
Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

[24] And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.

[25] And when Moses saw that the people were naked ; ( for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies: )

[26] Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on Yehovah's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.
[27] And he said unto them, Thus
saith Yehovah God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.
[28] And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.
[29] For Moses had said,
Consecrate yourselves to day to Yehovah, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.
[30] And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great
sin : and now I will go up unto Yehovah; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.
[31] And Moses returned unto
Yehovah, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.
[32] Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
[33] And
Yehovah said unto Moses , Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
[34] Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.
[35] And
Yehovah plagued the people, because they made the calf , which Aaron made.

[1 ] And Rehoboam went to Shechem: for all Israel were come to Shechem to make him king.
[2
] And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was yet in Egypt, heard of it, (for he was fled from the presence of king Solomon, and Jeroboam dwelt in Egypt;)
[3
] That they sent and called him. And Jeroboam and all the congregation of Israel came, and spake unto Rehoboam, saying,
[4
] Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee.
[
5 ] And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to me. And the people departed.
[
6 ] And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men , that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people?
[7
] And they
spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.
[
8 ] But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:
[9
] And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?
[10
] And the young men that were grown up with him
spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.
[
11 ] And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
[
12 ] So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king had appointed, saying, Come to me again the third day.
[13
] And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men's counsel that they gave him;
[14
] And
spake to them after the counsel of the young men , saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
[
15 ] Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from Yehovah, that he might perform his saying, which Yehovah spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
[
16 ] So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.
[
17 ] But as for the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
[
18 ] Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
[
19 ] So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.
[20
] And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only.
[
21 ] And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.
[
22 ] But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
[23
] Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and unto all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying,
[24
] Thus saith Yehovah, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of Yehovah, and returned to depart, according to the word of Yehovah.

[25 ] Then Jeroboam built Shechem in mount Ephraim, and dwelt therein; and went out from thence, and built Penuel.
[
26 ] And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David:
[27
] If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of Yehovah at Jerusalem , then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah.

[28 ] Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold , and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

[29 ] And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.

[30 ] And this thing became a sin : for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan .
[
31 ] And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.

[32 ] And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah ( feast of Tabernacles - 7th month ), and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.

[33 ] So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

Your sins will follow you

2 Kgs.10 [29] Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Bethel, and that were in Dan.

2 Kgs.17 [16] And they left all the commandments of Yehovah their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

2 Chr.11 [14] For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest's office unto Yehovah:[ 15] And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made .

2 Chr.13 [8] And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of Yehovah in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be a great multitude, and there are with you golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.

Just think of all the false feasts there are around today for you to follow

Exod.23 [2] Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil

3 John.1 [11] Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

It is high time to "wake up"

Paul said - Rom.13 [11] And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:

for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

[12] The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

[13] Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

[14] But put ye on the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

1John.5 [21] Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen

In closing: Please don’t kiss the caves

Reminder: starts Sunday evening

Monday, October 24th, 2016 – a Sabbath - a solemn assembly - a holy convocation - the feast of tabernacles

One last verse:

Ezek.33 [30] Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from Yehovah.

[31] And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

[32] And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

[33] And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.
