Today is Oct. 29, 2011

The Gregorian calendar (Pope Gregory, 1500's)

The word October comes from the word octo, eight, because it was the 8th month in the old Roman calendar

---------------------

However we restore the calendar of God

We are now in the 8th month - the month Bul - rain

1st day

(Part of October & November)

Judaism calls this month Cheshvan or Marheshvan.

This is not in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Marheshvan - Where did they get that name? mar means bitter

1 Kgs. 6 [38] And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

We will read all these chapters today, Lord willing

Bul, the eighth month

1 Kings 6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

1 Kings 12:32 And Jeroboam ordained a (false) feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.

33 So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

1 Chronicles 27:11 The eighth captain for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Zechariah 1:1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of Yehovah unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

--------------------

I explain the Sabbath, the 7th day, each week

This is how simple it is:

Exod. 20

[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: (Rev.1 John was in Spirit on Yehovah’s day)

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

 ------------

Same in Deut. 5

[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yehovah thy God hath commanded thee.
[13] Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

[15] And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that Yehovah thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore Yehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
------------

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done:

but

the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an “holy convocation”;

ye shall do no work therein:

it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

--------

Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him,

1 - not doing thine own ways,

2 - nor finding thine own pleasure,

3 - nor speaking thine own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

------------------------

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the Sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day?

-----------------

The first day is mentioned only 2 times when they met for a certain event in Acts and the letter to the Corinthians

It never says the 1st day replaced the 7th day as Sabbath

It never says the 1st day is a Commandment or a rest

Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

1Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

------------------------

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts.

60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath!

------------------

Sad to say, I have to explain these pagan holidays every year

We are commanded by God - Learn not the way of the heathen

Jer.10 [2] Thus saith Yehovah, Learn not the way of the heathen , and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

The customs of the people are vain

[3] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [4] They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not.

-------------------------

Tis the season to be pagan

Beware, Satan’s holidays are coming

-----------------

Halloween is Moon day

Once upon a time, Halloween was banned

Halloween was not celebrated in this country until 1845

Halloween in a nutshell: The origin of Halloween is the Celtic Festival of Samhain (sow win), lord of death and evil spirits.

*** Today's Topic:

Some people say I never talk about love,

 “Let’s talk about Love

Ecc. [1] To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

[8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Love is a two way street

God is love

Love and the keeping of God’s commandments go hand and hand

1 John 4 [8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

[10] Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

[16] And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

1 John 5 [1] Whosoever believeth that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

What is love?

[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

What is love?

2 John 1 [6] And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

More Love scriptures

Deut.6 [5] And thou shalt love Yehovah thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Deut.7 [9] Know therefore that Yehovah thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

[10] And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

Deut.10[12] And now, Israel, what doth Yehovah thy God require of thee, but to fear Yehovah thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yehovah thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, [13] To keep the commandments of Yehovah, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

Deut.11 [1] Therefore thou shalt love Yehovah thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.

[13] And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love Yehovah your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
[14] That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
[15] And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
[16] Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
[17] And then Yehovah's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which Yehovah giveth you.
[18] Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
[19] And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
[20] And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
[21] That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which Yehovah sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

[22] For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love Yehovah your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

[23] Then will Yehovah drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
[24] Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
[25] There shall no man be able to stand before you: for Yehovah your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
[26] Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
[27] A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of Yehovah your God, which I command you this day:
[28] And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of Yehovah your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Deut.13

[1] If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
[2] And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
[3] Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for Yehovah your God proveth you, to know whether ye love Yehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
[4] Ye shall walk after Yehovah your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

[5] And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from Yehovah your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which Yehovah thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

Deut.19

[9] If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love Yehovah thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:
[10] That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which Yehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

Deut.23 [3] An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of Yehovah; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of Yehovah for ever:
[4] Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
[5] Nevertheless Yehovah thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but Yehovah thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because Yehovah thy God loved thee.

Deut.30

[6] And Yehovah thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love Yehovah thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

[16] In that I command thee this day to love Yehovah thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and Yehovah thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
[17] But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
[18] I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

[19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

[20] That thou mayest love Yehovah thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which Yehovah sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Josh.22 [5] But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of Yehovah charged you, to love Yehovah your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Josh.23 [11] Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love Yehovah your God.

1Kgs.10 Solomon - [9] Blessed be Yehovah thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because Yehovah loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

2Chr.9 [8] Blessed be Yehovah thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for Yehovah thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.

Neh.1 [5] And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

Ezek.16

[1] Again the word of Yehovah came unto me, saying,
[2] Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
[3] And say, Thus saith the Lord Yehovah unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.
[4] And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
[5] None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.
[6] And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.
[7] I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.
[8] Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord Yehovah, and thou becamest mine.
[9] Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
[10] I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
[11] I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
[12] And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
[13] Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
[14] And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord Yehovah.

----

[15] But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
[16] And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.
[17] Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,
[18] And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.
[19] My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord Yehovah.
[20] Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,
[21] That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?
[22] And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.
[23] And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord Yehovah;)
[24] That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.
[25] Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.
[26] Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.
[27] Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
[28] Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.
[29] Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.
[30] How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord Yehovah, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;
[31] In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;
[32] But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!
[33] They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.
[34] And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.
[35] Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of Yehovah:
[36] Thus saith the Lord Yehovah; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;
[37] Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
[38] And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.
[39] And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.
[40] They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.
[41] And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.
[42] So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
[43] Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord Yehovah: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
[44] Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
[45] Thou art thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
[46] And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.
[47] Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.
[48] As I live, saith the Lord Yehovah, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
[49] Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
[50] And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
[51] Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.
[52] Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.
[53] When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:
[54] That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.
[55] When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.
[56] For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,
[57] Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.
[58] Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith Yehovah.
[59] For thus saith the Lord Yehovah; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.
[60] Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.
[61] Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.
[62] And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am Yehovah:
[63] That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord Yehovah.

Love is a two way street

God is love, do you love Him?

Love and the keeping of God’s commandments go hand and hand

Saul / Paul said:

1Cor.16 [22] If any man love not the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

ἀνάθεμα anathema - an-ath'-em-ah - a (religious) ban or (concretely) excommunicated (thing or person): - accursed, anathema, curse, a curse -  a man accursed, devoted to the direst of woes

μαρὰν ἀθά - maran atha - mar'-an ath'-ah - Of Chaldee origin (meaning our Lord has come or at His coming); maranatha, that is, an exclamation of the approaching divine judgment:

Simply put:  If any man love not the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, let him be cursed at His coming and judgment

Can you feel the love?
