Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

Today is April 15, 2017 – in the 21 Century

April -- Aphrodite's month

Old English April(is)
Latin Aprilis
Etruscan Apru
Greek Aphro, short for Aphrodite.

Aprilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love and beauty. She is identified with the Roman goddess Venus.

------------------

Yehovah God has His own calendar, which is deleted from the world

We are now in the 1st month of the God of Israel called Nisan, נִיסָן and ha aviv הָאָבִיב – 17th day

Esth.3 [7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan

בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן, הוּא-חֹדֶשׁ נִיסָן

Exod.13 [4] This day came ye out in the month ha Abib. הָאָבִיב

 הַיּוֹם, אַתֶּם יֹצְאִים, בְּחֹדֶשׁ, הָאָבִיב

A part of March / April 2017

We read from the law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts.

--

Acts: 13 [15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets…

--

Luke 24 [44] And Yeshua said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me.

The Word of God - Torah, Prophets and Writings (psalms), as Yeshua put it.

Ta Na Kk is an acronym for:

T = Torah (law, teachings) - first 5 books God gave to Moses

N = Navi' eem or prophets (pl. sounds like - Na vi eem)

K = Ke'tuvim or writings (psalms etc.)

At this point, there were neither gospels nor letters written.

-------------

I will explain the Sabbath each week now during the coming holydays

This is how simple it is:

Question: So why are we here today?

Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.

Sabbath is the “4th Commandment” 0f the 10 Commandments

Today is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto Yehovah

I will explain the Sabbath day from Scripture, the 7th day.

The Sabbath is not a service for an hour and a half, but a 24 hour period, the seventh day.

Not any day you pick.

---------------

Gen.2 [1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

[2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.

-------------

Lev. 23 [32] … from even (sunset) unto even (sunset), shall ye celebrate your Sabbath.

The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

The 10 commandments are in Exod. 20 and Deut. 5 - if you just know this, you will know more than most ministers.

זכר Remember

zâkar - zaw-kar' - A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, be still, think on, well.

Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

--------

Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honorable; and shalt honor him,

1 - not doing thine (your) own ways

2 - nor finding thine (your) own pleasure

3 - nor speaking thine (your) own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

------------

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an "holy convocation"; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

Dwelling:מושׁב  môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, your situation, location, (at) time of dwelling.

All Sabbaths are "holy convocations, a miqra kodesh"

Lev.23

[1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.p

מקרא miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling  together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

קדשׁ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness: All to the God of Israel.

------------

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day?

A short review of the Feast of Unleavened Bread

In Torah

Lev.23 [1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts.

------------

“Offering Time”

Exod.23 [14] Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto Me in the year.

[15] Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month ha Aviv / Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

[16] And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field:

and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

Same as verse 15 - [17] Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord Yehovah.

---------

Deut.16 [16] Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before Yehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose;

in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles:

and they shall not appear before Yehovah empty:

[17] Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of Yehovah thy God which he hath given thee.

----------------

In the Prophets, Writings, Gospels

2 Chr.8 [12] Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto Yehovah on the altar of Yehovah, which he had built before the porch, [13] Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

---------------

2 Chr.30 [13] And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.

[21] And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness:

and the Levites and the priests praised Yehovah day by day, singing with loud instruments unto Yehovah.

[22] And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of Yehovah: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to Yehovah God of their fathers.

--------------------

2 Chr.35 [17] And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

--------------------

Ezra.6

[19] And the children of the captivity kept the passover upon the fourteenth day of the first month.
[20] For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.
[21] And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek Yehovah God of Israel, did eat,

[22] And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for Yehovah had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

-------------------------

Ezek. 45 [21] In the first month, in the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten.

[22] And upon that day shall the prince prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bullock for a sin offering.

[23] And seven days of the feast he shall prepare a burnt offering to Yehovah, seven bullocks and seven rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a kid of the goats daily for a sin offering.

-----------------------

Luke 2 [41] Now Yeshua’s parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover

[42] And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.[43] And when they had fulfilled the days, (7 days) they returned…

Custom = manner according to the divine laws in Torah

Today’s Topic:

The resurrection

 Children of the resurrection

Job 14 [7] For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

[8] Though the root there of wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

[9] Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

[10] But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?

[11] As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:

[12] So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

[13] O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!

[14] If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

------------------

Our dead bodies will be raised up at the last day incorruptible

John 6 [39] And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. [40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[44] No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

------------

John 11 [24] Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

[25] Yeshua said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

[26] And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

-------------

Believest thou this?

Matt.22 [23] The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

[24] Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

[25] Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

[26] Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

[27] And last of all the woman died also.

[28] Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

[29] Yeshua answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

[30] For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

[31] But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

[32] I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

--------------

Mark 12 [18] Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,

[19] Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

[20] Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

[21] And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

[22] And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

[23] In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

[24] And Yeshua answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

[25] For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

[26] And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

[27] He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

--------------

Luke 20 [27] Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,

[28] Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

[29] There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.

[30] And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.

[31] And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.

[32] Last of all the woman died also.

[33] Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.

[34] And Yeshua answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

[35] But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

[36] Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

[37] Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

[38] For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Interesting verses:

Matt. 27 [50] Yeshua, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
[51] And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
[52] And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
[53] And came out of the graves after his resurrection
, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many

 -------------------

Luke 14 [12] Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
[13] But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
[14] And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

 ----------------

Acts 1 [21] Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Yeshua went in and out among us,
[22] Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

[23] And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
[24] And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which
knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
[25] That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
[26] And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

---------------------

Acts 2 [29] Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
[30] Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne;
[31] He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of the Messiah, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
[32] This Yeshua hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Pss. 132 [11] Yehovah hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

Pss. 16 [10] For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

------------------

Acts 4

[1] And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
[2] Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Yeshua the resurrection from the dead.

[33] And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Yeshua: and great grace was upon them all.

--------------

Acts 23 [6] But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

--------------

Acts 24 [1] And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
[2] And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,
[3] We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
[4] Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.
[5] For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
[6] Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
[7] But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
[8] Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
[9] And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.

[10] Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
[11] Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
[12] And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
[13] Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.

[14] But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
[15] And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

[16] And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
[17] Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
[18] Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.
[19] Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.
[20] Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,

[21] Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.

[22] And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.

[23] And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
[24] And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in the Messiah.
[25] And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
[26] He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
[27] But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.

Dan.12 [2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Rom.1

[1] Paul, a servant of Yeshua the Messiah, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
[2] (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
[3] Concerning his Son Yeshua the Messiah our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
[4] And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
[5] By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
[6] Among whom are ye also the called of Yeshua the Messiah:
[7] To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Baptism is a resurrection, a new creature

Rom.6

[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
[3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into
Yeshua the Messiah were baptized into his death?
[4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as the Messiah was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

[6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

[7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.
[8] Now if we be dead with the Messiah, we believe that we shall also live with him:
[9] Knowing that the Messiah being raised from the dead
dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

[10] For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he
liveth, he liveth unto God.

[11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.
[12] Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
[13] Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

[14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
[15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
[17] But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
[18] Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
[19] I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
[20] For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
[21] What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
[22] But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.

[5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

[21] The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting g away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah:

-----------------

2 Tim.2 [16] But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.[17] And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;[18] Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

 ------------

Acts. 23[8] For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.

-------------

Acts. 17 [18] Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Yeshua, and the resurrection.

[32] And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

John says:

Rev. 20 [1] And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

[2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

[3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

[4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Yeshua, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with the Messiah a thousand years.

[5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

[6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of the Messiah, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

1 Cor. 15

[12] Now if the Messiah be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
[13] But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is the Messiah not risen:
[14] And if the Messiah be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
[15] Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up the Messiah: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
[16] For if the dead rise not, then is not the Messiah raised:
[17] And if the Messiah be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
[18] Then they also which are fallen asleep in the Messiah are perished.
[19] If in this life only we have hope in the Messiah, we are of all men most miserable.
[20] But now is the Messiah risen from the dead, and become the
firstfruits of them that slept.
[21] For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
[22] For as in Adam all die, even so in the Messiah shall all be made alive.
[23] But every man in his own order: the Messiah the
firstfruits; afterward they that are the Messiah's at his coming.
[24] Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
[25] For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
[26] The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
[27] For
he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
[28] And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
[29] Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
[30] And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
[31] I protest by your rejoicing which I have in the Messiah
Yeshua our Lord, I die daily.
[32] If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what
advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
[33] Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
[34] Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
[35] But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
[36] Thou fool, that which thou
sowest is not quickened, except it die:
[37] And that which thou
sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
[38] But God
giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
[39] All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
[40] There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
[41] There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star
differeth from another star in glory.
[42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
[43] It is sown in
dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
[44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
[45] And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
[46] Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
[47] The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
[48] As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
[49] And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
[50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
[51] Behold, I
shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
[54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
[56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
[57] But thanks be to God, which
giveth us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye
stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
