The first dedication / Hanukkah in scripture was in the 7th month, ha Ethanim, 1Kings. 8:2 (Sept. - Oct.) not December
The second dedication/ Hanukkah in scripture was in Adar – February / March – Esth. 3 [7] - not December
No 8 days of oil are found in the 2 book of Maccabees but in the Talmud
No 8 or 9 candlestick menorah in Scripture (only 7 and very important)

The following is a quote from the Encyclopedia Brittanica, Volume 11 ; page 390.
"During the later periods of Roman history, sun worship gained in importance and ultimately led to what has been called a 'solar monotheism.' Nearly all the gods of the period were possessed of Solar qualities, and both Christ and Mithra acquired the traits of solar deities.
The feast of Sol and Victus (open unconquered Sun) on December 25th was celebrated with great joy, and eventually this date was taken over by the Christians as Christmas, the birthday of Christ." !!
The Christians were trying to get more converts So they adapted a pagan holiday to their worship to appease the pagans in 336 AD.
The Encyclopaedia
Britannica reports that "The traditional customs connected with Christmas
have developed from several sources as a result of the coincidence of the
celebration of the birth of Christ with the pagan agricultural and solar
observations at midwinter. In the Roman world the Saturnalia (December 17) was
a time of merry making and exchange of gifts.
December
25 was also regarded as the birth date of the Iranian mystery god Mithra,
the “Sun of Righteousness"
Colliers Encyclopedia agrees. Quote: "After the triumph of Constantine, the church at Rome assigned December 25 as the date for the celebration of the feast, possibly about A.D. 320 or 353. By the end of the fourth century the whole Christian world was celebrating Christmas on that day, with the exception of the Eastern churches, where it was celebrated on January 6. The choice of December 25 was probably influenced by the fact that on this day the Romans celebrated the Mithraic feast of the Sun-god (natalis solis invicti), and that the Saturnalia also came at this time."
Both encyclopedias plainly reveal that the source of the celebration of December 25 is the birthday of Mithra, the pagan sun god.
Sun worshippers since the time of Babel recognized this time of year in honor of their gods.
1st
century believers, taught personally by Messiah, did not celebrate His birthday.
2nd
century theologians condemned the thought.
Only after severe persecution, destruction and inaccessibility of biblical scripture and the blending of pagan doctrine with the worship of God was the Mithraic celebration of December 25th proclaimed to be "Christian" in nature.
These facts are well documented. They can be found in any encyclopedia.
There is
no way to "Christianize" the birthday of the sun god.
Anyone today, 2011, with access to a computer with internet can know better than those with theological degrees of yesterday.

Black Eye Friday: Shoppers
throw punches over new Air Jordans
PINEVILLE, NC (WBTV) – Dozens of police officers had to break up
fights and restore order at a local mall while shoppers were waiting for an
overnight sale of a popular basketball shoe.
The disturbance started inside Carolina Place Mall just after 5am.
Witnesses said as mall officials opened the mall doors, crowds of people pushed
their way in.
"They almost took the door off the hinges," one
shopper who didn't want to be identified said, "there were women with babies in their hands and
they on their backs."
Shoppers were in line waiting for the re-release of the Air Jordan
XI Concord tennis shoe at Foot Locker, Finish Line and Downtown Locker Room.
Outside the Foot Locker on the second floor, witnesses said some
shoppers started jumping the line, then
a crowd of people at the back of the line forced their way to the front,
causing several people to get angry and become unruly.
"People were falling, I had to jump over a girl,
it was crazy," Dominique Brewer said.
Two women were even spotted throwing punches. The incident was
caught on camera by WBTV Photojournalist Corey Schmidt. Neither woman
was arrested.

mall were selling the shoes. The crowd had started gathering around 2:00 a.m.

Police Department spokesman Mike Murphy said pepper spray was used against people fighting with officers in order to avert a full-scale riot.
Mall Gunfire over New Jordan Shoes
Everybody wants a nice pair of shoes. So much so, that
when the new Nike Air Jordan's went on sale this morning, people were willing
to fire off weapons to get to them.
The SFist reports,
around 6 a.m. this morning, shots were fired at the Hilltop Mall in Richmond,
where around 3,000 were people were waiting in line for the latest Air Jordan
11 Retro Concords. No injuries were reported.

Watch out for the traditions and commandments of men!
Most of the churches, synagogues and the messianic movement are filled with traditions of man.
Yeshua said:
