Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

Today is May 3, 2014

May -- Maia's month

Old English Maius - Maius has always had 31 days.

Latin Maius "of Maia" - Latin Maius mensis "month of Maia"

Maia (meaning "the great one") is the Italic goddess of spring, the daughter of Faunus, and wife of Vulcan.

----

God has His own calendar

We are now in the 2nd month of God, Ziv / Zif – 3rd day

1 Kgs. 6 [1] And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yehovah.

זִו - ziv - brightness, (figuratively) the month of flowers

***Make sure you change your Judaism calendars – The 2nd month is not Iyyar as Judaism states, it is Ziv.

--------

We are spiritually on a seven week journey that we observe, in memorial to meet God again on Mt. Sinai to receive the commandments and receive the Spirit of God.

From slaves in Egypt (our last lives of sin) to the people of God

The giving of the Law (10 commandments) and the giving of the Holy Spirit

-----------------

We were told to count "Sabbaths" not omers.

An "omer" is a "sheaf" of barley

עמר  omer  - A dry measure of 1/10 ephah (about 2 liters)

Lev.23 [15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

This Sabbath is the “second Sabbath” of the seven Sabbaths we were told to count.

50 days from First Fruits, the resurrection of Messiah:

Feast of Weeks “Offering time”

How are you behaving these 50 days? (Physically and Spiritually)

-------------

Today’s Topic:

One sinner destroys much good

Ecc. 9 [18] Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

Num. 32 [23] …you have sinned against Yehovah: and be sure your sin will find you out.

---------

**Never forget Satan, how he works by division and what he did in midst of the Kingdom of Heaven

Gen. 3[1] Now the serpent (Satan) was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Yehovah God had made

2 Cor.11 [3] I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent(Satan) beguiled Eve through (Satan’s) his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Messiah.

**Never forget Judas, what he did to the Lord Yeshua in the midst of the apostles

Satan always works in the midst of a congregation

2 Cor. 11 [13]… beware of false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Messiah.

[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

[15] Therefore it is no great thing if Satan’s ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

--------

Beware of the mixed multitude that may slip in among you subtilty and bring false doctrines, or they may try to raise themselves up.

Rom. 16 [17] Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

A few examples of what sinners can do to a congregation

Num. 16

[1] Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
They rose up

[2] And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

They gathered themselves together against

[3] And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and Yehovah is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of Yehovah?

[4] And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:

[5] And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow Yehovah will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
[6] This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;
[7] And put fire therein, and put incense in them before Yehovah to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom Yehovah doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
[8] And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:
[9] Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of Yehovah, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
[10] And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
[11] For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against Yehovah: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?

[12] And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:
[13] Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?
[14] Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.

[15] And Moses was very wroth, and said unto Yehovah, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

[16] And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before Yehovah, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:
[17] And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before Yehovah every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
[18] And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

gathered all the congregation against them

[19] And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of Yehovah appeared unto all the congregation.

[20] And Yehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
[21] Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

[22] And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

[23] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[24] Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

[25] And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.
[26] And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

[27] So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

[28] And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that Yehovah hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

[29] If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then Yehovah hath not sent me.
[30] But if Yehovah make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked Yehovah.

[31] And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
[32] And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
[33] They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

[34] And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.

[35] And there came out a fire from Yehovah, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

[36] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[37] Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
[38] The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before Yehovah, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
[39] And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:
[40] To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before Yehovah; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as Yehovah said to him by the hand of Moses.

----------------------
The Congregation is polluted

[41] But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of Yehovah.

[42] And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of Yehovah appeared.

[43] And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.
[44] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[45] Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment.

And they fell upon their faces.

[46] And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from Yehovah; the plague is begun.
[47] And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
[48] And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
[49] Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.
[50] And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.

Josh.7

[1] But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of Yehovah was kindled against the children of Israel.
[2] And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth-aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai.
[3] And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.
[4] So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.
[5] And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

[6] And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of Yehovah until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.

[7] And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord Yehovah, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!

[8] Yehovah, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies!
[9] For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

[10] And Yehovah said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?

[11] Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

[12] Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

[13] Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith Yehovah God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.
[14] In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which Yehovah taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which Yehovah shall take shall come by households; and the household which Yehovah shall take shall come man by man.

[15] And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of Yehovah, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel.

[16] So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken:
[17] And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken:
[18] And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.
[19] And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to Yehovah God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

[20] And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against Yehovah God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done:

[21] When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

[22] So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it.
[23] And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before Yehovah.
[24] And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.

[25] And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? Yehovah shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.
[26] And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So Yehovah turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.

Ecc. 9 [18] …but one sinner destroyeth much good

---------------------

Let’s see how a Godly person acts when they see sin in the camp

How zealous are you to get sin out of your camp?

Num.25 [1] And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
[2] And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
[3] And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor: and the anger of Yehovah was kindled against Israel.

[4] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before Yehovah against the sun, that the fierce anger of Yehovah may be turned away from Israel.
[5] And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baal-peor.

[6] And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

[7] And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
[8] And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.

[9] And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

[10] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[11] Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
[12] Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
[13] And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
[14] Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.
[15] And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
[16] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[17] Vex the Midianites, and smite them:
[18] For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake.

-----------------------

In closing: Keep your congregation or group Holy

Remember: Beware of the mixed multitude that may slip in among you subtilty and bring false doctrines, or they may try to raise themselves up as Satan did and all his followers.

Don’t be kinder then God

Don’t be more forgiving then God

Don’t be more loving then God

Etc …………

Reprove, rebuke sinners

Lev. 19 [17] Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

Exod. 23 [3] Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
