--------------------------------

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

Today is August 31th 2013

August -- Augustus Caesar's month

Latin Augustus "Augustus"
Latin Augustus mensis "month of Augustus"
Latin
sextilis mensis "sixth month"

Sextilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Augustus Caesar clarified and completed the calendar reform of Julius Caesar. In the process, he also renamed this month after himself.

----------------------------------------------------

Yehovah has His own calendar

We are now in the 6th month called Elul, 23th day

These 2 verses below indicated to us Elul must be the 6th month

Neh.6 [15] So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul,

לֶ אֱלוּל   in fifty and two days.

Neh.7[73] So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.

Recap of the upcoming fall Holy days

4 extra Sabbaths

Remember, all my dates that I give you, start the evening before!

September

The Memorial of blowing of trumpets, the seventh month, ha Ethamin is going to be on September 8, 2013 Sunday – 2 Sabbaths in a row.

The Day of Atonement is going to be the 17th, Tuesday – a Sabbath.

The feast of Tabernacles is going to be the 22nd through the 29th. The 22 and 29 are both on Sundays. There are 2 Sabbaths in this feast, one at the start and one at the end of the feast.

---------------------------

As we approach September and the 7th month of God called ha Ethanim, I feel it is needful to do a short recap of the fall holydays and feast.

I already see many stores putting on their shelves many Halloween items and preparing every one for the false feast that is coming.

------------------

Today's Topic:

A short recap to get ready for God’s Holy days

Feasts of Yehovah

Lev. 23

1 And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah , which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts .

3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

4 These are the feasts of Yehovah , even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

23 And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month , in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath , a memorial of blowing of trumpets , an holy convocation.

25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.

-----------------

Pss. 81 [3] Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed,(full moon) on our solemn feast day. (Feast of Tabernacles)

תִּקְעוּ בַחֹדֶשׁ שׁוֹפָר; בַּכֵּסֶה, לְיוֹם חַגֵּנוּ

-------------------------

We restore the 7th month of God called ha Ethanim that is coming soon

Question: Should we call the 7th month Tishrei?

Answer: NO! The word Tishri is not mentioned even once in TaNaKh

Scripture says ha Ethanim -1 Kings 8:2

1 Kgs. 8 [2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month ha Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

It is the 7th month is not new years

No scripture to prove the world was created then or it was Adam's birthday, this is all made up.

Beware of many websites, directly or indirectly, that put out information from Judaism and many Messianics these false sayings above.

----------------------

Always remember:

Deut. 4 [2] Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of Yehovah your God which I command you.

Deut. 12 [32] What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Prov. 30 [6] Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

--------------

A question

Question: Why will we be at the congregation that night and the next day?

Answer: The Memorial of the Blowing of Trumpets is a Sabbath, and a holy convocation. You shall do no servile work.

Lev.23 [24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying,In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.[25] Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.

 --------------------

Let's look at a few vocabulary words again for a better understanding:

Holy convocation מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ

Holy קֹדֶשׁ - set-apartness, separateness, sacredness, holiness of God

Convocationמִקְרָא  mik-raw - something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal: - assembly, calling, convocation, reading

-------

Servile work- melakat avodah   מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה

עֲבֹדָה avodah - work of any kind: act, bondservant, labor, service, tillage, work, (around home)

מְלֶאכֶת  melakat - occupation, work, business public business

----------------------

Now let’s discuss the name of the 7th month, which is not September, nor Tishri, but ha Ethanim.

The seventh month - Ha Ethanim

הָ אֵ תָ נִים

The alef and tav, first and last (forever)

Ha Ethanim = “enduring” - the permanent brooks

הָאֵתָנִים - ha Ethanim

(God's calendar)

7th month - Ha Ethanim (1 Kings 8:2)

הָאֵתָנִים  - ha Ethanim - Always with the article ha, the - permanent brooks;

Ethanim = enduring - seventh month, corresponding end of Sept, Oct. - so named because permanent streams still flowed - plural of H386 below:

H386 איתן  eythan - perpetual, constant, perennial, ever-flowing, ever-flowing (of a stream), permanence, permanent, enduring (figuratively)

-----------

Looks to me like someone is hiding who is the Living Waters and the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End which is Messiah and disguising it with the names September and Tishri, I believe it is Satan.

--------------

Messiah is the Living waters:

Jer. 2 [13] For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

---------------

Jer. 17 [13] Yehovah, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Yehovah, the fountain of living waters .

---------------

Messiah is the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End

Rev. 21 [1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

[2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

[3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

[5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

[6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alef - Alpha and Tav - Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

[7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

-----------

Water out of the wells of salvation

Isa. 12 [1] And in that day thou shalt say, Yehovah, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

[2] Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the  יהָּ Yah  יְהוָה Yehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

[3] Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

-------------

Living fountains of waters

Rev. 7 [17] For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

---------------

Rivers and streams ascribed to God

Isa. 33 [21] But there the glorious Yehovah will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

[22] For Yehovah is our judge, Yehovah is our lawgiver, Yehovah is our king; he will save us.

--------------------

Let’s talk about the sounding of the trumpet

Obviously, the sound of the trumpet is to get our attention of some coming event.

We see below, when the trumpets sounded louder and louder, the Lord descended upon Mount Sinai.

--------------------------------------

Let’s examine

Exod. 19

[1] In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
[2] For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
[3] And Moses went up unto God, and Yehovah called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
[4] Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
[5] Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
[6] And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
[7] And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which Yehovah commanded him.
[8] And all the people answered together, and said, All that Yehovah hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto Yehovah.
[9] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto Yehovah.
[10] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
[11] And be ready against the third day: for the third day Yehovah will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
[12] And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:
[13] There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet sounded long, they shall come up to the mount.

[14] And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
[15] And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.

[16] And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
[17] And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
[18] And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because Yehovah descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
[19] And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.

[20] And Yehovah came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and Yehovah called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

[21] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto Yehovah to gaze, and many of them perish.
[22] And let the priests also, which come near to Yehovah, sanctify themselves, lest Yehovah break forth upon them.
[23] And Moses said unto Yehovah, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
[24] And Yehovah said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto Yehovah, lest he break forth upon them.
[25] So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.

Pictures of the End with trumpets

Josh.6

[1] Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
[
2] And Yehovah said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.
[
3] And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
[
4] And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
[
5] And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

[6] And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of Yehovah.
[
7] And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of Yehovah.
[
8] And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before Yehovah, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of Yehovah followed them.
[
9] And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
[
10] And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.
[
11] So the ark of Yehovah compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.
[
12] And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of Yehovah.
[
13] And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of Yehovah went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of Yehovah, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
[
14] And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
[
15] And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.
[
16] And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for Yehovah hath given you the city.
[
17] And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to Yehovah: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
[
18] And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.
[
19] But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto Yehovah: they shall come into the treasury of Yehovah.

[20] So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city,(we will go up into the city of New Jerusalem) every man straight before him, and they took the city.

[21] And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city (like this world in future will be destroyed), both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.

[22] But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her.
[
23] And the young men that were spies went in, and brought Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.

[24] And they burnt the city with fire, (like this world in future will be destroyed) and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of Yehovah.
[
25] And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

(only the people that join the Israel of God will be saved)

[26] And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before Yehovah, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
[
27] So Yehovah was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.

Rev.8[2] And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

Rev.10 [7] But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets

----------------------

Remember these verses for the future trumpet to be sounded

Lord himself shall descend from heaven - we shall rise, be changed

1 Cor. 15

[42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
[43] It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
[44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

--------------

[45] And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
[46] Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual
.
[47] The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

------------------------

Looks like the word Adam could be a picture of Messiah:

אדם Adam

א alef - makes no sound - Adam

ד  dalet - sound of "d" - David

ם  final mem, closed, sound of "m" - Messiah

--------------------------

[48] As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
[49] And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
[50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
[54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
[56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
[57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah
.
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Thes. 4

[13] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
[14] For if we believe that  Yeshau died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yeshua will God bring with him.
[15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first:
[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

[18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Now you know our rationale why we observe and rehearse the Memorial of blowing the trumpets and the connection it has to the resurrection of our own bodies, the coming of Yeshua the Messiah and the end itself.

Shabbat Shalom
