Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

Today is May 20, 2017 – in the 21 Century

May -- goddess Maia's month

Old French Mai
Old English Maius
Latin Maius "of Maia"
Latin Maius mensis "month of Maia"

Maius has always had 31 days.

Maia (meaning "the great one") is the Italic goddess of spring, the daughter of Faunus, and wife of Vulcan.

--------------------

Yehovah God has His own calendar, which is deleted from the world

We are now in the 2nd month of God called Ziv / Zif, 23rd day

You can start your own scriptural calendar.

1 Kgs. 6 [1] And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yehovah.

זִו - ziv - brightness, (figuratively) the month of flowers

***Make sure you change your Judaism calendars – The 2nd month is not Iyyar as Judaism and some Messianics state.

A few days in April / May

----

Soon we will be in the 3rd month Sivan

Esth.8 [9] Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan

 בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁלִישִׁי הוּא־ חֹדֶשׁ סִיוָן

----------------

This is the fifth Sabbath of the 7 Sabbaths we were told to count

The "7 week" journey to meet God - again

How will you behave yourselves these 50 days? (Physically and Spiritually)

Remember:  you are the "Temple of the Living God" and the "Light of the World"?

--------------------------

From slaves in Egypt to the people of God

A "7 week" journey to consider again,

To receive the giving of the Torah / Law (and the 10 commandments) and the Holy Spirit

----------------------------------

Lev.23 [15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: [16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

[21] And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

Spring Feast - Feasts of Weeks / Harvest / Pentecost – Sunday June 4th, 2017 – a Sabbath

50 days from First Fruits:

Judaism and some Messianics are counting the “omer”. They still cannot follow the scriptures correctly.

Remember we will be counting "weeks", Sabbaths not omers

An "omer" is a "sheaf" of barley

עמר  omer  - A dry measure of 1/10 ephah (about 2 liters)

Feast of Weeks, Hag Sh'vu-ot - חַג שָׁבֻעֹת

Feast of Harvest Hag ha katseer - חַג הַקָּצִיר

Pentecost = 50 days

(A Sabbath) Sunday, (there are 2 Sabbaths in a row)

“Offering time”

Exod.23 [14] Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto Me in the year.

[15] Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month ha Aviv / Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

[16] And the feast of harvest, Weeks, Pentecost, the first fruits (wheat) of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field:

and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field. [17] Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before Lord Yehovah.

Also:

Deut.16 [16] Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before Yehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose;

in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles:

and they shall not appear before Yehovah empty:

[17] Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of Yehovah thy God which he hath given thee.

------------------------------------------------------

Lev. 23

[1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,
Concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of Yehovah.

Today’s topic:

Rightly dividing the word of truth

Matt.15 [16] Yeshua said, Are ye also yet without understanding?

Some thing we need to consider:

Discernment and understanding

Discern good and bad

Discern between good and evil

Need understanding to discern judgment

Discern perverse things

Discern both time and judgment.

Discern between the unclean and the clean

Cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand

Discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not

Discerning of spirits

------------------------------------------

John tells us:

1 John 3 [8] He (or she) that commits sin is of the devil;

How can you be the light of the world or the temple of the living God if you sin presumptuously which make you of the devil?

Saul tells Timothy:

1Tim.3 [16] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifest in the flesh,

justified in the Spirit,

seen of angels,

preached unto the Gentiles,

believed on in the world,

received up into glory.

Dan.7 [13] I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him.

[14] And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

John records:

John 1[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and

the Word was God.

[2] The same was in the beginning with God.

[3] All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

[6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
[7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
[8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

[9] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

[10] He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew him not.

[11] He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
[12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
[13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1Cor.11 [23] For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

[24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

[25] After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

[26] For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

[27] Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

[28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

[29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

[30] For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

[31] For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

[32] But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Discern this:

Saul tells Timothy:

1 Tim. 3 [6] Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

The Second letter:

2 Tim. 2 [14] Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

[15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

[16] But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
[17] And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;[18] Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

[19] Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, Yehovah knoweth them that are his.

And, Let every one that nameth the name of Messiah depart from iniquity.

[20] But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

[21] If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

[22] Flee also youthful lusts:

but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

[23] But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

[24] And the servant of the Lord must not strive;

but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

[26] And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him (the devil) at his will.

-------------------

Saul tells Titus:

Tit.1 [10] For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: (Jews)

[11] Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

[12] One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.

[13] This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

[14] Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

------------------------

Saul tells the Corinthians:

1 Cor. 2 [14]… the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned

Heb.5 [13] For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

[14] But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

---------

Saul tells the Hebrew believers:

Heb.4 [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, an d of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Prov.8

Yehovah and Me, His Word, Messiah

[22] Yehovah possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old.

[23] I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

[24] When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

[25] Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

[26] While as yet He had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

[27] When He prepared the heavens, I was there: when He set a compass upon the face of the depth:

[28] When He established the clouds above: when He strengthened the fountains of the deep:

[29] When He gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

[30] Then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him;

[31] Rejoicing in the habitable part of His earth; and My delights were with the sons of men.

[32] Now therefore hearken unto Me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep My ways.

[33] Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

[34] Blessed is the man that heareth Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.

[35] For whoso findeth Me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of Yehovah.

[36] But he that sinneth against Me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate Me love death.

Discernment and understanding

[10] And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

[11] And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

[12] Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

[13] And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honor: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

[14] And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.

Col.2

[2] That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Messiah;

Rev.22

[18] For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
[19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I will explain how to keep the Sabbath

This is how simple it is:

Question: So why are we here today?

Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.

Sabbath is the “4th Commandment” 0f the 10 Commandments

Today is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto Yehovah

I will explain the Sabbath day from Scripture, the 7th day.

The Sabbath is not a service for an hour and a half, but a 24 hour period on the seventh day.

Not any day you pick.

---------------

Gen.2 [1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

[2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.

-------------

Lev. 23 [32] … from even (sunset) unto even (sunset), shall ye celebrate your Sabbath.

The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

The 10 commandments are in Exod. 20 and Deut. 5 - if you just know this, you will know more than most ministers.

זכר Remember

zâkar - zaw-kar' - A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, be still, think on, well.

Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

--------

Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honorable; and shalt honor him,

1 - not doing thine (your) own ways

2 - nor finding thine (your) own pleasure

3 - nor speaking thine (your) own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

------------

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an "holy convocation"; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

Dwelling:מושׁב  môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, your situation, location, (at) time of dwelling.

All Sabbaths are "holy convocations, a miqra kodesh"

Lev.23

[1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts.

מקרא miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling  together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

קדשׁ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness: All to the God of Israel.

------------

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath.

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day?
