Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Let’s pray

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

Today is August 6, 2016

August -- Augustus Caesar's month

Latin Augustus "Augustus"
Latin Augustus mensis "month of Augustus"
Latin sextilis mensis "sixth month"

Sextilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Augustus Caesar clarified and completed the calendar reform of Julius Caesar. In the process, he also renamed this month after himself.

---------------------------------------------------

Yehovah has His own calendar

Today is the 2nd day of the 5th month which has no name in scripture

Judaism calls it Av. Not scriptural.

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts.

Acts 13 [15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets…

Luke 24 [44] And Yeshua said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

The Word of God - Torah, Prophets and Writings (psalms)

Ta Na Kk is an acronym for:

T = Torah (law, teachings) - first 5 books of Moses

N = Navi' eem or prophets (pl. sounds like - Na vi eem)

K = Ke'tuvim or writings (psalms etc.)

At this point, there were neither gospels nor letters.

Today’s Topic:

Satan, Hell, Lake of Fire, forever?

Here is a hot topic, no pun intended

This topic does not exist any longer in most bibles

Please forgive me if a scripture is repeated, I may try to use it in a different way  J

-------------

Satan, the author of lies – confusion

John.8 [44] Yeshua said: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.

Satan was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in Satan.

When Satan speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own:

for Satan is a liar, and the father of it.

Satan says, there is no devil

Remember: Satan is a liar, and the father of it.

------

In this study, you might end up thinking, why was this study so exceedingly long. The reason I listed just these scriptures is to show you how many times these words are mentioned.

How important they must be to Yehovah  to convey to us so many times.

Yes, there is an afterlife that is forever!

It is your choice; you decide where you want to be. How to get there is in the Word, your road map.

Make sure you have the right road map. This is why the battle is so intense.

Satan wants you to deceive you.

“Your Forever” is at stake!

------------

Let's look at a few words today

Eternal, Everlasting, forever, forever, evermore and Not Quenched

(Some words mean exactly what they say)

-------------

In these words below, I am looking at the part of the lexicon that fits the context of what I am talking about.

קדמה  קדם - qedem  qêdmâh - keh'-dem, kayd'-maw - eternal,  ever (-lasting)

-------------

עלם  עולם - ôlâm  ôlâm - o-lawm', o-lawm' - always, ancient (time), continuance, eternal,  everlasting, perpetual, without end.

-------------

-------------

αἰών - aiōn - ahee-ohn' - properly an age; by extension perpetuity, eternal, (for) ever,   without end

-------------

ἀΐ́διος - aidios - ah-id'-ee-os  eternal, everlasting.

ἀεί - aei - ah-eye' - apparently meaning continued duration; “ever” - always, ever.

αἰώνιος - aiōnios - ahee-o'-nee-os - perpetual - eternal, forever, without end, everlasting world

עד- ad - ad - (by implication) duration, in the sense of perpetuity - eternity, ever (-lasting, -more), perpetually, without end.

Yeshua said:

Matt. 3 [11] I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

[12] Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Luke 3 [16] John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

[17] Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

----

Luke 16: [19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
[20] And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
[21] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
[22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
[23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
[24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for. I am tormented in this flame
[25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
[26] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
[27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
[28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

[29] Abraham saith unto him, They have “Moses and the prophets”; let them hear them.
[30] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
[31] And he said unto him, If they hear not “Moses and the prophets”, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Rev. 19 [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev. 20 [10] And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Rev. 14[11] And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

1 Pet. 3[19] By which also he (Yeshua) went and preached unto the spirits in prison; (hell)
[20] Which (the people) sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

2 Pet. 2 [4] For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

[17] These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

Jude 1 [6] And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

[7] Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

2 Thes. 1 [6] Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
[7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when Yehovah Yeshua shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
[8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Yeshua Messiah:

[9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of Yehovah, and from the glory of his power;

Matt. 18[8] Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

Matt. 25[41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

[46] And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

-----------------

Mark 3[29] But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Mark 9[43] And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

[44] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

[45] And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

[46] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

[48] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Jer. 7[20] Therefore thus saith Yehovah GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

Jer. 17[27] But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

Ezek. 20[47] And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of Yehovah; Thus saith Yehovah GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.

[48] And all flesh shall see that I Yehovah have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

Satan accuses us:

Luke 4 [33] And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, [34] Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Yeshua of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.

[35] And Yeshua rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.

2 Cor. 11 [13] watch out for:  false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Messiah.

[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

[15] Therefore it is no great thing if Satan’s ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Satan can enter you

Luke.22

[1] Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
[2] And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.

[3] Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

----

[52] Then Yeshua said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? [53] When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

Saul / Paul tells us:

Col.1

The Father delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

[14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
[
15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
[
16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
[
17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

------------------

Acts.26 Paul was sent to:

[18] To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

-------------------

Eph.6

[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11]
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Satan causes you to lie, beware

Acts 5 [3] But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land

John 8 [44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.

the devil was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.

When the devil speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

---------------

John 10 [10] The thief, the devil cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy

---------------

Satan can try to stop you

1Thes.2 [18] Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

-----------------

Beware

Rev.12 [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:

the devil was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev.12 [12] …Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea!

for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Before the end

2Thes.2

[1] Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and by our gathering together unto him,
[2] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of the Messiah is at hand.

[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[4] Who
opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

[5] Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
[6] And now ye know what
withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

[7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now
letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

[8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

[9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
[10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

[11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
[12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

[13] But we are bound to give thanks
alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
[14] Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord
Yeshua the Messiah.
[15] Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
[16] Now our Lord
Yeshua the Messiah himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
[17] Comfort your hearts, and
stablish you in every good word and work.

Many verses of people possessed with devils, unclean spirits

Matt. 8

[14] And when Yeshua was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
[15] And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

[16] When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

[17] That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Mark 16 [9] Now when Yeshua was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

------------

1 Tim. 3 [6] Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.[7] Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

1 Tim. 4 [1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Tim. 2 [26] And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Heb. 2 [14] Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Jas.2 [19] Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

1Pet.5

[8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:[9] Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

1 John 3 [8] He that committeth sin is of the devil;for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he, Yeshua might destroy the works of the devil.

[10] In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Matt. 13

[18] Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

[19] When any one
heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, Satan and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

[20] But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that
heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;[21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

[22] He also that received seed among the thorns is he that
heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

[23] But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

-------------

[24] Another parable put he forth unto them, saying,

The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

[25] But while men slept, his enemy, Satan came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

[26] But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

[27] So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field?
from whence then hath it tares?

[28] He said unto them,
An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

[29] But he said,
Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

[30] Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the
tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

----------------------

[31] Another parable put he forth unto them, saying,

The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

[32] Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and
becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

[33] Another parable spake he unto them;

The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

[34] All these things
spake Yeshua unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
[35] That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

[36] Then Yeshua sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying,

Declare unto us the parable of the tares (the tares are the children of the wicked one Satan;) of the field.

[37] He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

[38] The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one Satan;

[39] The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

[40] As therefore the tares (the tares are the children of the wicked one Satan;)  are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

[41] The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

[42] And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

[43] Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear
