Some News: One story from the Drudge report
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Setting the stage for a potentially historic ruling, the Supreme Court announced Friday it will decide whether same-sex couples have a right to marry everywhere in America under the Constitution.
The justices will take up gay-rights cases that ask them to overturn bans in four states and declare for the entire nation that people can marry the partners of their choice, regardless of gender. The cases will be argued in April, and a decision is expected by late June.
The Bible is clear on this subject.
Here are a few verses:
Deut.22  The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto Yehovah thy God.
Lev.20  If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
 And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.
Lev.18  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
Deut. 23  There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
1 Cor. 6  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?

I heard some people did not like my study last week. I guess they don’t like that there is “Protocol in scripture”, order in a congregation and that the man is the head of the family. Who needs Elders?
Well I guess they don’t like Apostle Saul’s letters.
The Backslider, sowing discord
Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses (the Elder)
To withstand, withstood: to stand against, that is, oppose: - resist
 This know also,
that in the last days perilous times shall come.
 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

Don't look back

Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Amos 3  Hear this word that the YEHOVAH hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
1 John 2  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

 Remember Lot's wife.
Gen.19  But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
Don't look back
There are always “hidden rebels” (they think) somewhere in the camp and surely they will be found out.
Num.32  …you have sinned against Yehovah, and be sure “your sin will find you out”.
Opposing the Elders
Even after people have seen Yehovah, they still want to do "their own thing". Some want to serve God "their own way".
Prov.6  A naughty person, a wicked man or woman, walks with a froward mouth.
 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
 These six things Yehovah hate:
yea, seven are an abomination unto Him:
1 - A proud look
2 - A lying tongue
3 - Hands that shed innocent blood
4 - A heart that devises wicked imaginations
5 - Feet that be swift in running to mischief
6 - A false witness that speaketh lies,
7 - He or she that sows discord among brethren.
Nadab, and Abihu
Exod. 6  And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
he said unto Moses, Come up unto Yehovah, thou, and Aaron, Nadab,
and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
 And Moses alone shall come near Yehovah: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
 And Moses came and told the people all the words of Yehovah, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which Yehovah hath said will we do.
 And Moses wrote all the words of Yehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto Yehovah.
 And Moses took half of
the blood, and put it in basons;
and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that Yehovah hath said will we do, and be obedient.
 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Yehovah hath made with you concerning all these words.
 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee
tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest
 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
 And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.
 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
 And the glory of Yehovah abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
 And the sight of the glory of Yehovah was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
After seeing God, Nadab and Abihu offered strange fire before Yehovah
Lev. 10  And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before Yehovah, which he commanded them not.
there went out fire from Yehovah,
and devoured them, and they died before Yehovah.
 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that Yehovah spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.
 So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.
 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which Yehovah hath kindled.
 And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of Yehovah is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
Our testimony lives on after we die and is told.
Num. 3  And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
 And Nadab and Abihu died before Yehovah, when they offered strange fire before Yehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their father.
Num. 26  And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.  And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before Yehovah.
1Chr. 24  Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron.
The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Elezar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.
Other rebels in the camp (also among the leaders)
Korah, Dathan and Abiram, and On - took men: two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown
They gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, the Elders
the son of Izhar,
the son of Kohath,
the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram,
the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth,
sons of Reuben, took men:
 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and Yehovah is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of Yehovah?
 And when
Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow Yehovah will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
 This do;
Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;
 And put fire therein, and put incense in them before Yehovah to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom Yehovah doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:
 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of Yehovah, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
 And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
 For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against Yehovah: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?
 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:
 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?
 Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.
 And Moses was very wroth, and said unto Yehovah, Respect not thou
their offering: I have not taken one ass
from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
 And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before Yehovah, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:
 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before Yehovah every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
 And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.
 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of Yehovah appeared unto all the congregation.
unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?
 And Yehovah spake
unto Moses, saying,
 Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
 And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.
 And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
 So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
 And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that Yehovah hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the
visitation of all men; then Yehovah
hath not sent me.
 But if Yehovah make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked Yehovah.
 And it
came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the
ground clave asunder that was under them:
 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest
the earth swallow us up also.
 And there came out a fire from Yehovah, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
 And Yehovah spake
unto Moses, saying,
 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
 The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before Yehovah, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.
 And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:
 To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before Yehovah; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as Yehovah said to him by the hand of Moses.
 But on the morrow all the congregation of the
children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye
have killed the people of Yehovah.
 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of Yehovah appeared.
 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.
unto Moses, saying,
 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment.
And they fell upon their faces.
Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire
therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the
congregation, and make an atonement for
them: for there is wrath gone out from Yehovah; the plague is
 And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.
 And Aaron returned unto Moses unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the plague was stayed.
therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the
vocation wherewith ye are called,
 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Messiah.
 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Messiah:
 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Messiah:
 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the
head, even Messiah:
 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
 But ye have not so learned Messiah;
 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Yeshua:
 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
 Neither give place to the devil.
 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto
 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Messiah's sake hath forgiven you.
