Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s

Today is October 13, 2018 - in the 21 Century

October -- the eighth monthnow the 10th month

Middle English octobre
Latin October
Latin
octo "eight" + -ber (adj. suffix)
Latin
october mensis "eighth month"

October has always had 31 days.

Yehovah has His own calendar:

We are now in the 8th month called Bul /Bool, not Cheshvan or Mar Cheshvan as Judaism and some Messianics say.

1Kgs.6 [38]… in the month Bul / Bool, which is the eighth month

  וּבַשָּׁנָה הָאַחַת עֶשְׂרֵה בְּיֶרַח בּוּל, הוּא הַחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁמִינִי,

Soon more rain

Zech.1 [1] In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Yehovah, sayig [2] Yehovah hath been sore displeased with your fathers.[3] Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith Yehovah of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith Yehovah of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith Yehovah of hosts. – read the rest again, if you like

Today’s Topic:

The eternal God, eternal life

אֱלֹהֵי קֶדֶם

אֱלֹהִים noun common masculine plural construct

Deut.33 [27] The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee…

Pss.41 [13] Blessed be Yehovah God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

בָּרוּךְ יְהוָה, אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל--מֵהָעוֹלָם, וְעַד הָעוֹלָם:    אָמֵן וְאָמֵן.

Pss.90 [2] Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. וּמֵעוֹלָם עַד-עוֹלָם,    אַתָּה אֵל

Pss.93 [2] Thy throne is established of old: Thou art from everlasting.

מֵעוֹלָם אָתָּה

Pss.103 [17] But the mercy of Yehovah is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children;

Pss.106 [48] Blessed be Yehovah God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye Yah

Prov.8 [23] I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

Isa.63 [16] Doubtless thou art our Father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: Thou, art our Father, our redeemer; Thy name is from everlasting.  מֵעוֹלָם שְׁמֶךָ

Mic.5 [2] But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; Whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.   מִקֶּדֶם, מִימֵי עוֹלָם

Hab.1 [12] Art thou not from everlasting, Yehovah my God, mine Holy One? הֲלוֹא אַתָּה מִקֶּדֶם, יְהוָה אֱלֹהַי קְדֹשִׁי

The eternal Spirit

Heb.9 [14] How much more shall the blood of Messiah who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? [15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Eternal life

Matt.19[16] And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

Matt.25 [31] When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
[32] And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

[33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

[34] Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
[35] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
[36] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

[37] Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
[38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
[39] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

[40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

[41] Then shall He say also unto them
on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
[42] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
[43] I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
[44] Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

[45] Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

[46] And these shall go away into “everlasting punishment”: but the righteous into life eternal.

Life eternal

John.4 [35] Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. [36] And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

[37] And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

John.12 [25] He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

John.17 [1] These words spake Yeshua, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
[2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh,
that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

[3] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Yeshua the Messiah, whom thou hast sent.

[4] I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

[5] And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

[6] I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
[7] Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

[8] For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

[9] I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

[10] And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

[11] And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

[12] While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

[13] And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

[14] I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

[15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

[16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

[17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

[18] As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

[19] And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

[21] That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

[22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

[23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

[24] Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

[25] O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

[26] And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Mark.10 [17] And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

[18] And Yeshua said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

[19] Thou knowest the commandments: (in Exod. 2o and Deut. 5) Keep them!

[30] But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and “in the world to come eternal life”.

John.3 [14] And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:[15] That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

[16] For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

[17] For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

[18] He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

[20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

[35] The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into His hand.[36] He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Search the scriptures

John.5 [39] Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Most of the world - And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

John.6 [53] Then Yeshua said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

[54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

[55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

[56] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

[57] As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

[58] This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

[68] Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

John.10 [27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:[28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

[29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.[30] I and my Father are one.

as many as were ordained

Acts.13 [48] And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Saul says to the Romans:

Rom.2 [7] To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Rom.5 [1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah:
[
2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

[3] And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
[
4] And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
[
5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

[6] For when we were yet without strength, in due time Messiah died for the ungodly.

[7] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

[8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us.

[9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

[10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

[11] And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, by whom we have now received the atonement.
[
12] Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
[
13] (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

[14] Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

[15] But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Yeshua the Messiah, hath abounded unto many.

[16] And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

[17] For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Yeshua the Messiah.)

[18] Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

[19] For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

[20] Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

[21] That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.

Rom.6 [23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.

Saul writes to Timothy and Titus

1Tim.6 [12] Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Lay up in store for yourselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Tit.1 [1] Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

[2] In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

[3] But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

The hope of eternal life

Tit.3 [7] That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Brother John

1John.1 [1] That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

[2] (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

[3] That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Yeshua the Messiah.

[4] And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

[6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yeshua the Messiah his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

[10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1John.2 [22] Who is a liar but he that denieth that Yeshua is the Messiah? He is antiMessiah, that denieth the Father and the Son.

[23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:

(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

[24] Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

[25] And this is the promise that He hath promised us, even eternal life.

1John.3 [15] Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Brother Jude

Jude.1 [21] Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah unto eternal life.

Brother Daniel

to Everlasting life  לְחַיֵּי עוֹלָם

לְ particle preposition   חַי noun common masculine plural construct

Dan.12 [1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

[2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

לְדִרְאוֹן עוֹלָם

[3] And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

[4] But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Brother John, one more time

1John.5 [1] Whosoever believeth that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
[
2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

[4] For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

[5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Yeshua is the Son of God?

[6] This is he that came by water and blood, even Yeshua the Messiah; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

[7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

[8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

[9] If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son.

[10] He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

**** [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

[12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

[13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;

that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

[14] And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

[15] And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

[16] If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

[17] All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

[18] We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself,

and that wicked one toucheth him not.

[19] And we know that we are of God,

and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

[20] And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Yeshua the Messiah. יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיח

“This is the true God and eternal life”.

הוּא הָאֵל הָאֲמִתִּי וְחַיֵּי עוֹלָם.

[21] Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

 Amen! -  אָמֵן
