שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Let’s pray

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

May 21, 2016

May -- Maia's month

Old French Mai
Old English
Maius "of Maia"
Maius mensis "month of Maia"

Maius has always had 31 days.

Maia (meaning "the great one") is the  goddess of spring, the daughter of Faunus, an ancient Italian deity in Classical Roman times were identified with those of the Greek god Pan. and wife of Vulcan, the ancient Roman god of fire and metalworking.

Yehovah has His own calendar

Today is the 14th day of the second month of God called Ziv / Zif,

1 Kgs. 6 [1] And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yehovah.

 זִו - ziv - brightness, (figuratively) the month of flowers

 ***Make sure you change your Judaism calendars – The 2nd month is not Iyyar as Judaism states, it is Ziv as scripture stated it.

Spring Feast coming – 50 days called Pentecost - Offering time”

Feast of Weeks, Hag Sh'vu-ot - חַג שָׁבֻעֹת

Feast of Harvest Hag ha katseer - חַג הַקָּצִיר

(A Sabbath) Sunday, (there are 2 Sabbaths in a row)

Sivan (3rd month) Feast of Week - June 12, 2016, Sunday or 1st day, a Sabbath

My last 3 studies:

Our Seven Week Journey 4/30/2016’

Our Testimony - The Record of Our Short Lives - 5/7/2016 - Nisan 29

They Were Told To “Tarry Until” - 5/14/2016 - Ziv 7

Today’s topic:

Do you discern both “time and judgment”?

There is a time for every purpose and for every work

[1] To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

[2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

[3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

[4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

[5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

[6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

[8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

[9] What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

[10] I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11] He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

[12] I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

[13] And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

[14] I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

[15] That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

[16] And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

[17] I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

[18] I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
19] For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

[20] All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

[21] Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

[22] Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion:

for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Rev.10 – brother John

[1] And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2] And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3] And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4] And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
5] And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6] And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

[7] But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Prov.10 [2] Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

Prov.14 [32] The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

Here is some sound wisdom

Ecc.9 [10] Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

[11] I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

[12] For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

[13] This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
14] There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
15] Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.

[16] Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

[17] The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.

[18] Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

1 Peter 4: [17] For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18] And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment

judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not

reserved unto fire against the day of judgment

the hour of his judgment is come

Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

[5] Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment.

[6] Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.

[7] For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?

[8] There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.

[9] All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt.

[10] And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done: this is also vanity.

[11] Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

[12] Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:

[13] But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

Jer.8 [7] Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of Yehovah.

Ecc.12[14] For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Follow Me

Gen.19 [26] But Lot’s wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

looked back - נָבַט

A primitive root; to scan, that is, look intently at; by implication to regard with pleasure, favor or care: - (cause to) behold, consider, look (down), regard, have respect, see.

[32] Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
[33] But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
[34] Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
[35] For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
[36] And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
[37] He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
[38] And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
[39] He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Luke.14 [26] If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Matt.8 [19] And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
[20] And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

[21] And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
[22] But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

Luke.9 [57] And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
[58] And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

[59] And he said unto another, Follow me.

But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
[60] Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead:

but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

[61] And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
[62] And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
