Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Let’s pray

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s

Today is March 10th, 2018 - in the 21 Century

March -- Mars' month

Middle English March(e)
Anglo-French March(e)
Old English
Martius "of Mars"
Latin Marti(s) "Mars" + -us (adj. suffix)
Martius mensis "month of Mars"

Martius has always had 31 days. March was the original beginning of the year, and the time for the resumption of war.

Mars is the Roman god of war. He is identified with the Greek god Ares.

We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar

We are now in the 12th month called Adar day 21

אֲדָר  Adar - to become glorious, make honorable; a cloak, mantle

אֲדָר   = “to become glorious, make honorable; a cloak, a mantle

Esth.3 [7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.

The Purim season is a good time to reflect and remind ourselves on the many things of the God of Israel that are "hidden"

The feasts of Yehovah

[1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts.

A Sabbath, holy convocations break down

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

[5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yehovah's passover.

[6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto Yehovah: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

[7] In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. … in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

Lev. 23[9] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

[10] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
[11] And he shall wave the sheaf before Yehovah, to be accepted for you: on
the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it

[14] And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: (God first) it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

First fruits above, always a Sunday

Moving forward: 50 days later… in Sivan

Feast of Weeks – Pentecost - the Feast of Harvest

Lev. 23

[15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

[17] Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the first fruits unto Yehovah.

[21] And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

Feast of Weeks – Pentecost - the Feast of Harvest, always a Sunday

Exod.23 [16] And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field…

The first Sabbath is April 14 of the 7 Sabbaths until May 27, Sunday, a Sabbath – Feast of Weeks, Harvest, Pentecost!

Please write these dates above down in your notes

[1] And Yeshua entered and passed through Jericho.

[2] And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

[3] And he sought to see Yeshua who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

[4] And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

[5] And when Yeshua came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

[6] And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

[7] And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

[8] And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

[9] And Yeshua said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

[10] For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

[11] And as they heard these things, He added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

(like many pseudo Christians believe)

[12] He said therefore, A certain nobleman (like Messiah) went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

[13] And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

[14] But his citizens hated him, (like Messiah)  and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

[15] And it came to pass, that when He was returned, (like Messiah)  having received the kingdom, then He commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom He had given the money, that He might know how much every man had gained by trading.(What did you do in your life?)
[16] Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
[17] And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

[18] And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.[19] And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

[20] And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:[21] For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

[22] And He saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. (He did nothing)

Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:[23] Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury (gain)?

(We should do the works of God, being a testimony and making a stand for God, adding to the kingdom of God, to save those who are lost)

[24] And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

[25] (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

[26] For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

[27] But those Mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

We shall “Occupy till I, Messiah come back,

doing the feasts as a testimony to this ungodly world that there is a God of Israel, whereby some might listen and join us, we pray!

Rev.22 [20] He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly.

Even so, come, Lord Yeshua.

Shabbat Shalom
