Before we start this Sabbath, I always feel I need to mention that the Sabbath is not "a service" for an hour and a half, but the Sabbath is a "whole 24 hr. day" to the God of Israel.

 Question: S0 why are we here today?

Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy

The 4th Commandment is a part of the “covenant” given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

--------

Lev. 23 [1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,

Concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

Within your gates - in all your dwellings

Unto this day, some people are still breaking the 4th commandment each week by not keeping the Sabbath as it is described above.

-------------

I shall again define a few words:

Remember

æëøzâkar - zaw-kar' - A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, still, think on, well.

----------

Holy Convocation

î÷øà  miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

÷ãùÑ  kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness

----------

Dwelling

îùÑá/îåùÑá  môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, your  situation, location, (at) time of dwelling

---------------------------------------

Remember,tis the season to be pagan”

Lies are all around us, beware!

 Beware of the false image of love and the false feelings and emotions that run wild.

These pagan feasts bring on loneliness, depression and suicide and oh yes, debt for years to come.

Last week’s topic was: Today’s Topic Again:

They, the people have shut their eyes, ears and mind to the God of Israel and His Word.

--------------------------------

Today’s Topic: the TRUTH, the TRUE God

-----

What is truth?

John.18 [33] Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Yeshua, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?
[34] Yeshua answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
[35] Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?
[36] Yeshua answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
[37] Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Yeshua answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

[38] Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

John.14 [6] Yeshua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

------------

Now for a long season Israel hath been "without the true God"

2 Chr. 15 [3] Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

------------

So many gods

Who is the true God?

Jer.10 [10] But Yehovah is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

John.17 [1] These words spake Yeshua, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
[2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. [3] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Yeshua the Messiah, whom thou hast sent.

1Thes.1 [9] For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

[10] And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Yeshua, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

1Cor.8 [5] For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

[6] But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Yeshua the Messiah, by whom are all things, and we by him.

--------------

Where is eternal life

1John.5 [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life;

and

he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

[13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

[20] And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Yeshua the Messiah.

This is the true God, and eternal life.

We rely on the truth, we only want truth

Pss.15

[1] Yehovah, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
[2] He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

[3] He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
[4] In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear Yehovah. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
[5] He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

Pss.60

 [4] Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

Pss.69

 [13] But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, Yehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Pss.117

 [2] For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of Yehovah endureth for ever. Praise ye Yehovah.

Pss.119

 [142] Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy (torah) law is the truth.

Prov.23

 [23] Buy (possess, own, attain) the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Isa.26 [1] In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
[2] Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

[3] Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

[4] Trust ye in Yehovah for ever: for in Yah Yehovah is everlasting strength:

Jer.5[1] Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.[2] And though they say, Yehovah liveth; surely they swear falsely.[3] Yehovah, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Jer.9

[1] Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!
[2] Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.
[3] And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith Yehovah.
[4] Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.
[5] And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.
[6] Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith Yehovah.

----------------------------

Anti Messiah hates truth

Dan.812] And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

-----------------------

Zech.8 [16] These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

[17] And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith Yehovah.

[19] Thus saith Yehovah of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

Yeshua is the truth and the truth will set you free

Mark.12

[28] And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
[29] And Yeshua answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; Yehovah our God is one Yehovah:

[30] And thou shalt love Yehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

[31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

[32] And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

[33] And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
[34] And when Yeshua saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

John.5 [33] Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. (Yeshua)

---------------------

John 8 [31] Then said Yeshua to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

[32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

[33] They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

[34] Yeshua answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

[35] And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

[36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

[37] I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
[38] I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
[39] They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
[40] But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
[41] Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
[42] Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
[43] Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

[44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.

When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

[45] And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

[46] Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

---------------------

John.16[7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

John.17 [19] And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

---------------------

Rom.1

[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

[19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

[25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

---------------------

Rom.2

[1] Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
[2] But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
[3] And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
[4] Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
[5] But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
[6] Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
[7] To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

[8] But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

[9] Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
[10] But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
[11] For there is no respect of persons with God.
[12] For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
[13] (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

[3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

[14] But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
[15] This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
[16] For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
[17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
[18] And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

----------

John's letters

1John.1 [6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1John.2 [4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

[21] I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

1John.3 [13] Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

[14] We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
[15] Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
[16] Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
[17] But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

[18] My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
[19] And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

[20] For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
[21] Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
[22] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
[23] And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
[24] And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1John.4 [6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

2John.1

[1] The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
[2] For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

[3] Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from Yehovah Yeshua the Messiah, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

[4] I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

[5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
[6] And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
[7] For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Yeshua the Messiah is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
[8] Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
[9] Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of the Messiah, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of the Messiah, he hath both the Father and the Son.
[10] If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
[11] For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
[12] Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
[13] The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.

3John.1

[1] The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.

[2] Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

[3] For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
[4] I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

[5] Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
[6] Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
[7] Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
[8] We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.
[9] I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
[10] Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
[11] Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
[12] Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.
[13] I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:
[14] But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

In Conclusion:

Gal.4 [16] Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

2Cor.4

[1] Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
[2] But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

[3] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

[4] In whom the god of this world (satan) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Messiah, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

[5] For we preach not ourselves, but Messiah Yeshua Yehovah; and ourselves your servants for Yeshuas' sake.
[6] For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of  Yeshua the Messiah.
[7] But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
[8] We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
[9] Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
[10] Always bearing about in the body the dying of Yehovah Yeshua, that the life also of Yeshua might be made manifest in our body.
[11] For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Yeshuas' sake, that the life also of Yeshua might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
[12] So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
[13] We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
[14] Knowing that he which raised up Yehovah Yeshua shall raise up us also by Yeshua, and shall present us with you.
[15] For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
[16] For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

[17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, (our life span)

worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

[18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:

for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Jas.5 [19] Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;[20] Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
