Let’s pray
--------------------------------------------
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed
be thy name.
[10] Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
[11] Give us this
day our daily bread.
[12] And forgive us
our sins, for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.
[13] And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever.
Amen.
[14] For if ye
forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
[15] But if ye
forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses.

Today we use the Gregorian
calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,
March 28, 2015
Spring is here
March -- Mars' month
Martius has always had 31 days.
March was the original beginning of the year
Mars is the Roman god of war. He is identified
with the Greek god Ares.
-----------------
We acknowledge God’s calendar
Nisan 7
Pss.104 [19] He appointed the moon for seasons:
הַמָּאוֹר
הַקָּטֹן the lesser
light or moon
קָּטֹן less, small
Even a sliver of the moon is light to divide the light from the
darkness and to
give light upon the earth.
No moon is exactly “no” moon, no
light, darkness
חֹדֶשׁ - יֶרַח
The first new
moon and first sun
God made two great lights
Gen.1
[14] And God said, Let there be lights
in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from
the night; and let them be for signs, and for
seasons, and for days, and years:
[15] And let them be for
lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light
upon the earth: and it was so.
[16] And God made two great lights;
the greater
light
to rule the day (our sun), and the lesser light to rule
the nigh (our moon): he made the stars also.
[17] And God set them in
the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the
earth,
[18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was
good.
[19] And the
evening and the morning were the fourth day.
The first new
moon
A great light,
the lesser light
Sight of the
eyes seen, lesser light is a sign, season, day ….

This is a good time to reflect and remind ourselves
about some Holy Days, Feasts with
Sabbaths that are not on the 7th day that are soon to come.
Approximately 1 week from now is Passover,
the feast of unleavened bread, and first fruits.
Remember, two Saturdays from now
is April 4th, in the evening we will eat our Passover, then the
feast of unleavened bread starts
2 Sabbaths in a row - so
April 5, Sunday is also is a Sabbath.
------------------
Passover – ha Aviv 14th
(Yeshua is our Passover)
First day of
Unleavened bread (a Sabbath) ha Aviv 15
First Fruits ha Aviv 17 (the
resurrection of Messiah)
Last day of
Unleavened Bread
(ha Aviv 21 (a Sabbath)
April 4, 2015, Saturday evening we
eat the Passover, which then starts the first day of unleavened bread. April 5, 2015 - Sunday (daytime hours) is the first
Sabbath of the feast of unleavened bread and first fruits this year.
The last Sabbath of the
feast of unleavened bread falls on our regular Sabbath, Saturday. April 11, 2015
Then 7 Sabbaths plus one
day, or 50 days later, from first fruits is May 24,
2015, Sunday, the feast of weeks, Pentecost, a Sabbath

Today’s topic:
A Passover review
I do my best in trying to help
Date /
Purpose
/ Significance to the believer
The Spring Feasts of Yehovah were fulfilled by the Messiah's first coming!
Passover – Pesach
We believe:
Nisan 14 - Yeshua died on Thursday at
approx. 3:00 pm Matt:27: 45 -
1st. day
Remembering the deliverance from Egyptian bondage,
an unblemished firstborn male lamb was sacrificed and its blood poured on the
altar. A lamb was selected for each family, and four days before the lamb was
to be slain it was taken from the sheep or the goats for a four-day examination
period. Yeshua is the sacrificial lamb who died for our sins. On Nisan 14 at the
exact time the lamb was to be slain, Yeshua was slain. Yeshua also had a
four-day examination period before the religious leaders and was found without
blemish.
Nisan 15 - a Sabbath - 1st. night - 2nd day (Fri.)
Leaven symbolizes sin. Unleavened Bread speaks of
sanctification. God told the Jews to cleanse all leaven from their homes and
eat only unleavened bread, matzo, for seven days, symbolizing a holy walk with
Him. Yeshua is the "Bread of Life" without sin, born in Bethlehem.
In Hebrew, Bethlehem means house of bread. Just as matzos is unleavened, (sign
of no sin) so was the Messiah sinless. This Feast falls on the day Yeshua was
buried.
Nisan 16 - a Sabbath - 2nd. night - 3nd.
day (Sat.)
Day of First fruits / Bikkurim
Nisan 17 - 3rd. night,
Nisan 17 then as the sun did rise - Mark
16:2
early the first
day of the week, Sunday -Yeshua rose from the Dead which is 3 days and 3 nights
later
The first of the barley harvest was brought as an
offering to the priest in the Tabernacle/Temple. The priest would present the
first of the harvest unto Yehovah by waving them back and forth. This reminded
the Hebrews that God gave them the land, and the harvest belonged to Him. 1 Cor. 15:20-23). Yeshua' resurrection marked the beginning of the harvest of souls. John 12:23-24,32
shows Yeshua was likened to a grain of wheat falling to the ground and dying to
produce a great harvest. Yeshua arose on Firstfruits.
Fifty days later is the Feast of Weeks/Shavuot- Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit
empowered the believers.

Things "not to do" at a Passover Seder
The Passover Seder done by some Messianics and Judaism is not scriptural.
Some go to 2 or 3 Passover Seders – wrong
This not a game, don’t do Passover with people that don’t keep the commandments
"The Cup" – Not 4 or 5 cups - scripture never says "the cups"
There is only "one cup" of the New Testament in Yeshua's Blood.
Tit.1 [14] Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
There are no Rabbis in TaNaKh
Rabbis made up the "four expressions" - then “Four” Cups” at the Pesach Seder because they reject the Gospels and letters.
Rabbis don't recognize Yeshua the Messiah as "Our Passover".
This is why we tell people not to follow Rabbis and Judaism.
They have all rejected the Hebrew Scriptures about Messiah
Rabbis always "add and diminish" from God's Word.
Deut.4 [2] Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of Yehovah your God which I command you.
Deut.12 [32] What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Prov.30 [6] Add thou not unto his words , lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Read only
the Word of God and not commentaries, otherwise you will be, as Paul puts it:
2Tim.3 [7] Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
---------
If you are going to do "Four" Expressions of Redemption,
Why not do "Seven?
I see "SEVEN"
Exod.6 [1] Then Yehovah
said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a
strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them
out of his land.
[2] And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am Yehovah:
[3] And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name
of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
[4] And I have also established my covenant with them ,
to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they
were strangers.
[5] And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel,
whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant .
Verse [6] Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am Yehovah, and
1 - I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and
2 - I will rid you out of their bondage, and
3 - I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
4 - [7] And I will take you to me for a people, and
5 - I will be to you a God : and ye shall know that I am Yehovah your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
6 - [8] And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and
7 - I will give it you for a heritage: I am Yehovah
We don't believe these men below are great Torah scholars.
2 Cor. 10 [12] For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some "that commend themselves:" "but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise".
This below is what Judaism made up:
In the "11th to 16th centuries"
***The Chumash, page 319 - 6-7
These "four stages" are the basis for the rabbinic requirement of the Four Cups at the Pesach Seder.
The expressions, as explained by Rabbi Bachya . Rabbi Bachaya Ibn Pakuda - (Eleventh Century)
The "four expressions" of redemption (represented at the Passover Seder by the "Four Cups of wine") relate to the four aspects of our liberation from Egypt:
I will bring you out
I will save you
I will redeem you
I will take you (6:6-7)
(Nachmanides; Soforno)
**Rabbis made this up because they don't recognize Yeshua the Messiah as "Our Passover"
1 Cor. 5 [7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah / Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:
We don't believe this man below is a great Torah scholar. He missed the Messiah in the Hebrew Scriptures.
Nachmanides/Ramban (1194-1270)
(Rabbi Moshe ben Nachman)
Nachmanides was a Spaniard who was both a physician and a so-called great Torah scholar. (However he missed the Messiah in the Hebrew Scriptures. Still think he is a great Torah scholar? )
Nachmanides had a "strong mystical bent". His biblical commentaries are the first ones to incorporate "the mystical teachings".
We don't believe this man below is a great Torah scholar. He missed the Messiah in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Now the Truth from Scripture:
One Blood, cup - One Bread
Matt.26 [26] And as they were eating, Yeshua took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.[27] And he took "the cup", and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of "it";[28] For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.[29] But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
Mark 14: [22] And as they did eat, Yeshua took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.[23] And he took "the cup", and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of "it".[24] And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.[25] Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.[26] And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
Luke
:22 [15]
And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover
with you before I suffer:[16] For I say unto you, I will not any more
eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
[17] And he took "the cup",
and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
[18] For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine,
until the kingdom of God shall come.
[19] And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and
gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in
remembrance of me.[20] Likewise also "the cup" after
supper, saying,
"This cup" is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
1 Cor. 10 [16] "The cup" of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Messiah / Christ? [17] For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
1 Cor. 11 [23] For I have received of the Lord – Messiah Yeshua that which also I delivered unto you, That Lord Yeshua the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:[24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.[25] After the same manner also he took "the cup", when he had supped, saying, "This cup" is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.[26] For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink "this cup", ye do shew Yeshua's death till he come.[27] Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink "this cup" of Yehovah, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of Yeshua.[28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of "that cup".[29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord Yeshua's body.[30] For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.[31] For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.[32] But when we are judged, we are chastened of Yehovah, that we should not be condemned with the world.

"Next thing not to do"
Don't leave the door open for Elijah or set a cup of wine for him
Elijah / Elias // John The Baptist
Why at Passover Seders are people leaving the door open and setting a cup of wine for Elijah to come?
Yeshua said He IS come!!!
Who did God say He would send?
I will send my messenger
I will send you Elijah the prophet
What was he going to do?
he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of
the children to their fathers
truly shall first come, and restore all things
Isa. 40 [3] The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord - Messiah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Matt.
3 [1]
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of
Judaea,
[2] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[3] For this is he that was spoken of by the
prophet Esaias,
(40:3) saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way
of Yehovah make his paths straight.
[4] And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern
girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
Mark
1 [1]
The beginning of the gospel of Yeshua the Messiah, the Son of God;
[2] As it is written in the prophets, ( Malachi 3:1) Behold, I send my messenger before thy
face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
[3]
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Yehovah,
make his paths straight. (Isa. 40:3)
[4] John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of
repentance for the remission of sins.
Mal. 3[1] Behold, I
will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the
Lord - Messiah, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to this temple, even the
messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith
Yehovah of hosts.

Matt.
3 [1]
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
[2] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[3] For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias (40:3), saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord - Messiah, make his paths straight.
[4] And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
2Kgs. 1 [8] And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
------------
What was he going to do?
Mal. 4 [5] Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Yehovah:[6] And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Luke
1
[1]
Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of
those things which are most surely believed among us,
[2] Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were
eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
[3] It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all
things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
[4] That thou mightest know the
certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
[5] There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest
named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife
was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
[6] And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the
commandments and ordinances of Yehovah blameless.
[7] And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they
both were now well stricken in years.
[8] And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office
before God in the order of his course,
[9] According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn
incense when he went into the temple of Yehovah.
[10] And the whole multitude of the people were
praying without at the time of incense.
[11] And there appeared unto him an angel of Yehovah standing on the
right side of the altar of incense.
[12] And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon
him.
[13] But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is
heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
[14] And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his
birth.
[15] For he shall be great in the sight of Yehovah,
and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his
mother's womb.
[16] And many of the children of Israel shall he
turn to Yehovah their God.
[17] And he (John) shall go before him (Messiah) in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the
disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for
Yehovah. (Malachi 4:5 above)

What Yehsua said about John The Baptist:
Matt. 11:9 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.
[10] For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. (Mal. 3:1 and 4:5)
[11] Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. [12] And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. [13] For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. [14] And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. (Mal. 3:1 and 4:5)
[15] He that hath ears to hear let him
hear.
------------
Matt.17 [10] And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
[11] And Yeshua answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
[12] But I say unto you, that Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed.
Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
[13] Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
------------
Mark 9 [11] And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
[12] And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. [13] But I say unto you, that Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

"Next thing not to do"
Where does it say to have special Passover plates and silverware? (someone is making allot of money)
"Next things not to do"
Tell me, what's with the egg (sounds like pagan Easter eggs), shank bone that they have on a plate?
Why not have what the Scriptures say? Is this to easy?
Exod. 12 [8] And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast (lamb) with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
We do this day as a memorial:
Exod. 12 [14] And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to Yehovah throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
"Next thing not to do"
Don’t charge people money to attend a Seder. Where did they get that from?
This makes me sad. What about the people who can't afford to attend?
This is not a game........
"Next thing not to do"
Many people attend more then one seder.
Some boast of 2 or more they attended. Passover is on a specific day, not days.
This is all adding to the Word of God.
------------
"Next thing not to do"
It is not wise to tell God what to do or how to do it
In stanza three Dayanu means, "It would have sufficed"- in other words: "Enough already!" is an unscriptural traditional song.
Read below:
If He had merely rescued us from Egypt, but had not punished the Egyptians. DAYENU
If He had merely punished the Egyptians, but had not destroyed their gods. DAYENU
If He had merely destroyed their gods, but had not slain their first born. DAYENU
If He had merely slain their first born, but had not given us their property. DAYENU
If He had merely given us their property, but had not split the sea for us. DAYENU
If He had merely split the sea for us, but had not brought us through on dry ground. DAYENU
If He had merely brought us through on dry ground, but had not drowned our oppressors. DAYENU
If He had merely drowned our oppressors, but had not supplied us in the desert for forty years. DAYENU
If He had merely supplied us in the desert for forty years, but had not fed us with manna. DAYENU
If He had merely fed us with manna, but had not given us the Shabbat. DAYENU
If He had merely given us the Shabbat, but had not brought us to Mount Sinai. DAYENU
If He had merely brought us to Mount Sinai, but had not given us the Torah. DAYENU
If He had merely given us the Torah, but had not brought us to the land of Israel. DAYENU
If He had merely brought us to the land of Israel, but had not built us the Temple. DAYENU
We would have been satisfied, it would have been enough.
This sounds terrible to me .............

"Next thing not to do"
afikoman?
Manischewitz matzo’s?
Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz, was born in Lithuania and immigrated to Cincinnati in 1886. He started out by supplying matzah to newly arrived Jewish immigrants who were heading west to seek a new and better life in America. It was very important to Rabbi Manischewitz that every Jew, even those in transit, be provided with matzo at Passover.
Remember:
Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz' immigrated to Cincinnati in 1886.
Try not to use Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz's matzos at Passover. (even though they are good other times)
Moses did not use Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz's matzo at Passover - he was not born yet!
Yeshua did not use Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz's matzos at Passover - he was not born yet!
Yeshua is not a Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz's matzo. (so many stories made up about that)
We make unleavened bread, that simple.
------------
NEAR THE BEGINNING of a Passover Seder, a piece of matzo is broken in half.
The larger of the two pieces is hidden away until the end of the meal.
When it is brought back from concealment it is shared by everyone at the table as their final morsel. This broken and hidden piece of matzah is called the afikoman.
All this ceremony and the name afikoman are shrouded in mystery.
None of it is explained by the Haggadah
Nor is it mentioned in Scripture
The term appears first in the Mishnah (tractate Pesahim 10:8), the earliest collection of rabbinic legal rulings, codified around 200 AD. Though afikoman is written in Hebrew letters in rabbinic texts, it is actually a Greek word.
Jewish historians disagree why a Greek term entered the Passover liturgical tradition or what it means. As one of them said, "It is of uncertain etymology." Some think it is derived from epikomoi ("dessert") or from epi komon (a call for after dinner pastime, entertainment), or from epikomion ("festal song").
Over the centuries, its meaning has been lost or forgotten.

Matt. 15 [2] Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. [3] But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
Mark
7[1]
Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which
came from Jerusalem.
[2] And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that
is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
[3] For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands
oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
[4] And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not.
And many other things there be, which they have
received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen
vessels, and of tables.
[5] Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why
walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat
bread with unwashen
hands?
[6] He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias
prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth
me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
[7] Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctines
the commandments of men.
[8] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as
the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
[9] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of
God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
[13] Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Please follow scripture, not made up traditions.
