Let’s pray

--------------------------------------------

 Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

June 17, 2017 - in the 21 Century

June -- goddess Juno's month

Middle English jun(e)
Old French juin
Old English junius
Latin Junius "of Juno"
Latin Junius mensis "month of Juno"

Junius had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

Juno is the principle goddess of the Roman Pantheon. The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, now a church, in Rome, Italy, on the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD)...

The Roman Pantheon is the most preserved and influential building of ancient Rome. It is a Roman temple dedicated to all the “gods of pagan Rome”.

Juno is the goddess of marriage and the well-being of women. She is the wife and sister of Jupiter. She is identified with the Greek goddess Hera.

Today’s topic:

With all the terrible world conditions,

We need to be thankful to God and Praise and thank Him always for all things.

Some verses of people that took time out to praise and thank God

David always thanks and praises Yehovah

2 Sam.22

[47] Yehovah liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
[48] It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
[49] And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

[50] Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, Yehovah, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

[51] He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

1Chr.16

[1] So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
[2] And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yehovah.
[3] And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
[4] And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of Yehovah, and to record, and to thank and praise Yehovah God of Israel:
[5] Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
[6] Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

[7] Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank Yehovah into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

[8] Give thanks unto Yehovah, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
[9] Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.
[10] Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Yehovah.
[11] Seek Yehovah and his strength, seek his face continually.
[12] Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
[13] O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
[14] He is Yehovah our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
[15] Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
[16] Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
[17] And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
[18] Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
[19] When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
[20] And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
[21] He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
[22] Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
[23] Sing unto Yehovah, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.
[24] Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
[25] For great is Yehovah, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
[26] For all the gods of the people are idols: but Yehovah made the heavens.
[27] Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
[28] Give unto Yehovah, ye kindreds of the people, give unto Yehovah glory and strength.
[29] Give unto Yehovah the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship Yehovah in the beauty of holiness.
[30] Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
[31] Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
[32] Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
[33] Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of Yehovah, because he cometh to judge the earth.
[34] O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
[35] And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
[36] Blessed be Yehovah God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Yehovah.

[37] So he left there before the ark of the covenant of Yehovah Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:
[38] And Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
[39] And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of Yehovah in the high place that was at Gibeon,
[40] To offer burnt offerings unto Yehovah upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of Yehovah, which he commanded Israel;
[41] And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to Yehovah, because his mercy endureth for ever;
[42] And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
[43] And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.

1Chr.23 [25] For David said, Yehovah God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:
[26] And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof.
[27] For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above:
[28] Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Yehovah, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;
[29] Both for the shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;
[30] And to stand every morning to thank and praise Yehovah, and likewise at even;
[31] And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto Yehovah in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before Yehovah:
[32] And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of Yehovah.

1Chr.25 [1] Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
[2] Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.
[3] Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise Yehovah.

1 Chr.29 [13] Now therefore, our God, we thank Thee, and praise Thy glorious name.

Pss.18 [49] Therefore will I give thanks unto Thee, Yehovah, among the heathen, and sing praises unto Thy name.

Pss.30 [4] Sing unto Yehovah, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

[12] To the end that my glory may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent. Yehovah my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Pss.50 [14] Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High…

Pss.69 [30] I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

Pss.75 [1] Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

[2] When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
[3] The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
[4] I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
[5] Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

[6] For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
[7] But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

[8] For in the hand of Yehovah there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
[9] But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
[10] All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

Pss.92 [1] It is a good thing to give thanks unto Yehovah, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

[2] To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
[3] Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

Pss.97 [12] Rejoice in Yehovah, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

Pss.100 [1] Make a joyful noise unto Yehovah, all ye lands.

[2] Serve Yehovah with gladness: come before His presence with singing.

[3] Know ye that Yehovah, He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

[4] Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.

[5] For Yehovah is good; his mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.

Pss.105 [1] O give thanks unto Yehovah; call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people.

Pss.106 [1] Praise ye Yehovah. O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

[47] Save us, Yehovah our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.

Pss.107 [1] O give thanks unto Yehovah, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Pss.116 [17] I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Yehovah.

Pss.118 [1] O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

[29] O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Pss.122 [4] Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Yehovah, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Yehovah.

Pss.136 [1] O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[2] O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[3] O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[4] To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[5] To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[6] To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[7] To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[8] The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[9] The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[10] To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[11] And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[12] With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[13] To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[14] And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[15] But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[16] To him which led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[17] To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[18] And slew famous kings: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[19] Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[20] And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[21] And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[22] Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[23] Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever:
[24] And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[25] Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.
[26] O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Pss.147 [7] Sing unto Yehovah with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God…

Solomon

2 Chr.5 [1] Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of Yehovah was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.
[2] Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.
[3] Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.
[4] And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.
[5] And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.
[6] Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
[7] And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Yehovah unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:
[8] For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
[9] And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
[10] There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when Yehovah made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
[11] And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:
[12] Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)
[13] It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking Yehovah; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised Yehovah, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of Yehovah;
[14] So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of Yehovah had filled the house of God.

Other people of God praising and thanking God

2 Chr.29 [30] Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto Yehovah with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.
[31] Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto Yehovah, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of Yehovah. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.

Ezra.3 [10] And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Yehovah, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise Yehovah, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.

[11] And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto Yehovah; because He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever toward Israel.

And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised Yehovah, because the foundation of the house of Yehovah was laid.

Jonah 2 [9] But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of Yehovah.

Neh.12 [24] And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.

[40] So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:

[46] For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

Dan.2 [23] I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.

Dan.6 [10] Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Rom.1[8] First, I thank my God through Yeshua Messiah for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Heb.13 [15] By Him, Yeshua, therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.

2 Cor.2 [14] Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Messiah, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

1 Thes.2 [13] For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

1 Thes.5 [18] In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Messiah Yeshua concerning you.

2Tim.1 [3] I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day

Rev.11 [16] And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, [17] Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

Make mention of Yehovah God

Pss.71 [16] I will go in the strength of Yehovah GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only

Isa.12 [4] And in that day shall ye say, Praise Yehovah, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted

Isa.26 [13] Yehovah our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

Isa.62

[1] For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
[2] And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of Yehovah shall name.
[3] Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of Yehovah, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
[4] Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for Yehovah delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
[5] For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

[6] I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of Yehovah, keep not silence,

[7] And give Him no rest, till he establish, and till He make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

[8] The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

[9] But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise Yehovah; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

[10] Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

[11] Behold, Yehovah hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

[12] And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of Yehovah: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Shabbat Shalom

----------------------------------------------------

Please find below the Sabbath explained.

How simple it is:

The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

זכר Remember

zâkar - zaw-kar' - A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, still, think on, well.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

 --------

Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him,

 1 - not doing thine own ways,

 2 - nor finding thine own pleasure,

 3 - nor speaking thine own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

------------

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an "holy convocation"; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

Dwellingמושׁב  môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, your situation, location, (at) time of dwelling

------------

The Sabbath is a "holy convocation, a miqra kodesh"

מקרא miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

קדשׁ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day?

The first day is mentioned only 2 times when they met for certain events in Acts and the letter to the Corinthians

It never says the 1st day replaced the 7th day as Sabbath

It never says the 1st day is a Commandment or a rest

Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

1Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Why doesn’t any pseudo Messiahian ever mention the 60 times in the

Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath!
