Before we start this Sabbath, I
always feel I need to mention that the Sabbath
is not "a service" for an hour and a half, but the Sabbath is a "whole 24 hr. day" to
the God of Israel.
Question: S0 why are we here today?
Answer: We were told to
remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy
The 4th Commandment is a part of the “covenant” given to us
at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan
Unto this day, some people are still
breaking the 4th commandment each week by not keeping the Sabbath as
it is described above.

Today’s
Topic:
Are there few that be
saved?
Luke 13
[24] Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you,
will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
[25] When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the
door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord,
Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence
ye are:
[26] Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy
presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
[27] But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart
from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
[28] There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see
Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and
you yourselves thrust out.
[29] And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the
north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
[30] And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are
first which shall be last.
-----------------
Matt. 7
[14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord,
shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father
which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say
to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast
out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from
me, ye that work iniquity.
[24] Therefore whosoever heareth
these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which
built his house upon a rock:
[25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
[26] And every one that heareth
these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man,
which built his house upon the sand:
[27] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
-----------------
[35] And Yeshua went about all the
cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of
the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
[36] But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on
them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no
shepherd.
[37] Then saith he unto his disciples,
The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers
are few;
[38] Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
-----------------
[2] Therefore said
he unto them, The
harvest truly is great, but the labourers
are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of
the harvest, that he would send forth labourers
into his harvest.

Matt. 22
[2] The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a
marriage for his son,
[3] And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the
wedding: and they would not come.
[4] Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are
bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed,
and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
[5] But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm,
another to his merchandise:
[6] And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully,
and slew them.
[7] But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his
armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
[8] Then saith he
to his servants, The
wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
[9] Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid
to the marriage.
[10] So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together
all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished
with guests.
[11] And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man
which had not on a wedding garment:
[12] And he saith
unto him, Friend, how camest
thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
[13] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and
take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.
[14] For many are
called, but few are chosen.

Matt. 20
[2] And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into
his vineyard.
[3] And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle
in the marketplace,
[4] And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is
right I will give you. And they went their way.
[5] Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
[6] And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing
idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the
day idle?
[7] They say unto him, Because
no man hath hired us. He saith
unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye
receive.
[8] So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them
their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
[9] And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they
received every man a penny.
[10] But when the first came, they supposed that they should have
received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
[11] And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
[12] Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made
them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
[13] But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong:
didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
[14] Take that thine is, and go thy way: I
will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
[15] Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am
good?
[16] So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called,
but few chosen.

[18] For Messiah
also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring
us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
[19] By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
[20] Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God
waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Many People
"Making excuses" (to serve God all the way)
Luke 14 [16] Then said he unto
him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
[17] And sent his servant at supper time to say
to them that were bidden, Come;
for all things are now ready.
[18] And they all with one
consent began to make excuse.
The first said unto him, I have bought
a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I
pray thee have me excused.
[19] And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go
to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
[20] And another said, I have married
a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
[21]
So that servant came, and shewed
his lord these things. Then the master of the house
being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and
lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt,
and the blind.
[22]
And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is
room.
[23] And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into
the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be
filled.
[24] For I say unto you, That none of those men
which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
[25] And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
[26] If any man come to me, and hate
not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters,
yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
[27] And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and
come after me, cannot be my disciple.

[28]
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the
cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
[29] Lest haply, after he hath laid the
foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
[30] Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
[31]
Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh
against him with twenty thousand?
[32]
Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage,
and desireth conditions of
peace.
[33] So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not
"all that he hath", he
cannot be my disciple.
[34]
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
[35] It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for
the dunghill; but men cast it out.
He that hath
ears to hear,
let him hear.

-------------
"A sower went forth to sow"
Matt. 13
Some seeds fell by the way side
Some fell upon stony places
Some fell among thorns
Other fell into good ground
-----------
[18] Hear ye therefore the parable of
the sower.
[19] When any one heareth the word of
the kingdom, and understandeth
it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was
sown in his heart. This is he which
received seed by the way side.
[20] But he
that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon
with joy receiveth it;
[21] Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or
persecution ariseth
because of the word, by and by he is offended.
[22] He also
that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and
the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
[23] But he
that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also
beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an
hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
----------------
Luke 8
Some fell by the way side
Some fell upon a rock
Some fell among thorns
Other fell on good ground
--------
[11] Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
[12] Those by
the way side are they that hear; then
cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts,
lest they should believe and be saved.
[13] They on
the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy;
and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation
fall away.
[14] And that
which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go
forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and
bring no fruit to perfection.
[15] But that
on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart,
having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Mark 4

[14] The sower soweth
the word.
[15] And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but
when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their
hearts.
[16] And these are they likewise which are
sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word,
immediately receive it with gladness;
[17] And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward,
when affliction or persecution ariseth
for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
[18] And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
[19] And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and
the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
[20] And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive
it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Beware of “RICHES” that may steal your eternal life
[17] And when he was gone forth into the way, there
came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I
do that I may inherit eternal life?
[18] And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me
good? there
is none good but one, that is, God.
[19] Thou knowest the commandments, Do
not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness,
Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
[20] And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I
observed from my youth.
[21] Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One
thing thou lackest:
go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt
have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
[22] And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had
great possessions.
[23] And Jesus looked round about, and saith
unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of
God!
[24] And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth
again, and saith
unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into
the kingdom of God!
[25] It is easier for a camel to go through the eye
of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
[26] And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves,
Who then can be saved?
[27] And Jesus looking upon them saith, With
men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
[28] Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left
all, and have followed thee.
[29] And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that
hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or
children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
[30] But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and
brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions;
and in the world to come eternal life.
[31] But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
[18]
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit
eternal life?
[19] And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me
good? none
is good, save one, that is, God.
[20] Thou knowest the commandments, Do
not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour
thy father and thy mother.
[21] And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
[22] Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one
thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and
thou shalt
have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
[23] And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
[24] And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall
they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
[25] For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich
man to enter into the kingdom of God.
[26] And they that heard it said, Who then can be
saved?
[27] And he said, The things which are
impossible with men are possible with God.
[28] Then Peter said, Lo, we have left
all, and followed thee.
[29] And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath
left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of
God's sake,
[30] Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world
to come life everlasting.
