Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory, from the 1500’s

 Today is April 21, 2012

Sad to say…

April—Aphrodite’s month

Old English April(is)
Latin
Aprilis
Etruscan
Apru
Greek
Aphro, short for Aphrodite.

Aprilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love and beauty

She is identified with the Roman goddess Venus.

 Yehovah has His own calendar

Today is the 29th day of the first month

Exod.12[ 2] This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Before we start, first I will do a short review of the Spring Feasts and Holy Days that are left. It seems I can never review these days early enough for some, this is the 11th time.

Here are the 2012 dates for these holy days.

 --------------

**Remember, all 2012 dates I give you start in the “evening before”

 -------------

----

Ziv 1 - 2nd month - Monday April 23

Sivan 1 - 3rd month - Wednesday, May 23rd

Feast of Weeks a Sabbath, Sunday, May 27th (2 Sabbaths in a row)

---------------

**Remember:

We were told to count the "Sabbaths" not omers

So we are counting.

Today is the 2nd Sabbath out of the seven Sabbaths we were told to count.

Judaism and some Messianics are counting the “omer”. They still cannot follow the scriptures correctly.

For your information:

An "omer" is a "sheaf" of barley - òîø

omer - A dry measure of 1/10 ephah  (about 2 liters)

Lev.23 [15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

[21] And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

Rosh Chodesh - New Moon Report

Sunday evening, we will be in the 2nd month of God, Ziv / Zif

1 Kgs. 6 [1] And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yehovah.

æÄå - ziv - brightness, (figuratively) the month of flowers

***Make sure you change your Judaism calendars – The 2nd month is not Iyyar as Judaism states, it is Ziv.

Isa. 58

[1] Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
[2] Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
[3] Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou
seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
[4] Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

[5] Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Yehovah?

[6] Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
[7] Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
[8] Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and
thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of Yehovah shall be thy rereward.

[9] Then shalt thou call, and Yehovah shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
[10] And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
[11] And
Yehovah shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

[12] And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

[13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
[14] Then
shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it

Jeremiah

I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations - Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah

 "In the days of Josiah"

Jer.1 [1] The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:

[2] To whom the word of Yehovah came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
[3] It came also in the days of
Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.
[4] Then the word of
Yehovah came unto me, saying,

[5] Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

No written law for a long time

(There is approximately 338 years from King Asa to King Josiah)

2 Chr.12 [1] And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of Yehovah, and all Israel with him.

2 Chr.15  [1] And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
[2] And he went out to meet
Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin;

Yehovah is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

[3] Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

Josiah

2 Kgs. 22

[1] Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.
[2] And he did that which was right in the sight of
Yehovah, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.
[3] And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent
Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of Yehovah, saying,
[4] Go up to
Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of Yehovah, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:
[5] And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of
Yehovah: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of Yehovah, to repair the breaches of the house,
[6] Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.
[7] Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.
[8] And
Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of Yehovah. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
[9] And
Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of Yehovah.
[10] And
Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

Josiah (In the 18th year of King Josiah)

[11] And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.

(There is appox.338 years from Asa to Josiah)

[12] And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying,
[13] Go ye, inquire of
Yehovah for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of Yehovah that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.
[14] So
Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.
[15] And she said unto them, Thus
saith Yehovah God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,
[16] Thus
saith Yehovah, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:
[17] Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.
[18] But to the king of Judah which sent you to inquire of
Yehovah, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith Yehovah God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;
[19] Because
thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before Yehovah, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith Yehovah.
[20] Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou
shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again.

---------------

2 Kgs. 23

[1] And the king sent, and they gathered unto him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.
[2] And the king went up into the house of
Yehovah, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of Yehovah.
[3] And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before
Yehovah, to walk after Yehovah, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.
[4] And the king commanded
Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of Yehovah all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.
[5] And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
[6] And he brought out the grove from the house of
Yehovah, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people.
[7] And he
brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of Yehovah, where the women wove hangings for the grove.
[8] And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from
Geba to Beer-sheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.
[9] Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of
Yehovah in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their brethren.
[10] And he defiled
Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.
[11] And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of
Yehovah, by the chamber of Nathan-melech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.
[12] And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of
Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of Yehovah, did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron.
[13] And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had
builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.
[14] And he
brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.
[15] Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of
Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.
[16] And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the
sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of Yehovah which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
[17] Then he said,
What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.
[18] And he said,
Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.
[19] And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke
Yehovah to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.
[20] And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.
[21] And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the
passover unto Yehovah your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.
[22] Surely there was not
holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;
[23] But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this
passover was holden to Yehovah in Jerusalem.
[24] Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that
Hilkiah the priest found in the house of Yehovah.
[25] And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to
Yehovah with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.
[26] Notwithstanding
Yehovah turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.
[27] And
Yehovah said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.
[28] Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Nehemiah and Ezra the priest

Law found again and followed - Temple rebuilt

Neh. 1

[1] The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,
[2] That
Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.

Neh. 7

[1] Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
[2] That I gave my brother
Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
[3] And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
[4] Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not
builded.
[5] And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein
,
[6] These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;

Neh. 8

[1] And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which Yehovah had commanded to Israel.
[2] And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.
[3] And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.
[4] And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood
Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
[5] And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the
people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:
[6] And Ezra blessed
Yehovah, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped Yehovah with their faces to the ground.
[7] Also
Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.
[8] So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
[9] And Nehemiah, which is the
Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto Yehovah your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.
[10] Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of
Yehovah is your strength.
[11] So the Levites stilled all the people, saying,
Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.
[12] And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.
[13] And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.
[14] And they found written in the law which
Yehovah had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:
[15] And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.
[16] So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of
God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
[17] And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of
Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
[18] Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
