Today is January 14, 2012
Middle
English Januarie

Latin Januarius mensis “month of Janus”
Janus is the Roman god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions. His festival month is January.
Januarius had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.
--------------
Saturday—Saturn’s day
Middle English saterday
Old English sæter(nes)dæg “Saturn’s day”
Latin dies Saturni “day of Saturn”
Ancient Greek hemera Khronu “day of Cronus”
Saturn is the Roman and Italic God of agriculture. He is believed to have ruled the earth during an age of happiness and virtue.
-----
This day was called dies Saturni, "Saturn's Day", by the ancient Romans in honor of Saturn.
I digress…
Don’t worship the host of heaven, the sun, moon, stars, planets or anything that was made.
Worship the God of Israel, the Creator
---------------------
However we restore the calendar of God
We are now in the 10th month of God – Tevet, Tavat,èÅáÅú – 19th day
Esth.2 [16] So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week, not the first day of the week, (Sunday) nor the lunar Sabbath misguided conclusions of today
--------------------
Last week’s topic was: Being slack, slothful and idle,
are not accepted attributes as a true believer with the God of Israel
Don’t be a Sluggard
Today’s topic:
Be separate from
sinners
2Cor.6 [14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers
for what
fellowship hath
righteousness with unrighteousness?
and what
communion hath light with darkness?
[15] And what concord hath Messiah
with Belial?
or what part
hath he that believeth with an infidel?
[16] And what agreement hath the
temple of God with idols?
for ye are the temple of
the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I
will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate,
Yehovah,
and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
[18] And
will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith
Yehovah
Almighty.
------------
2John.1 [10] If there come any
unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither
bid him God speed: [11] For he that biddeth him God
speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Rom.16 [17] Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause
divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
Eph.5 [11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,
but rather reprove them.
2Thes.3 [14] And if any man obey not our word by this epistle , note
that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
[15] Yet
count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as
a brother.

Now let’s read some TaNaK
[12]
Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the
land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the
midst of thee:
[13] But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down
their groves:
[14] For thou shalt worship no
other god: for Yehovah, whose name is Jealous, is a
jealous God:
[15] Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and
they go a whoring after their gods , and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one
call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
[16] And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters
go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
[17] Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
[1] If there arise among
you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth
thee a sign or a wonder,
[2] And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which
thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
[3] Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of
that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for Yehovah
your God proveth you, to know whether ye love Yehovah your God with all your heart and with all your
soul.
[4] Ye shall walk after Yehovah your God, and
fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve
him, and cleave unto him.
[5] And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death;
because he hath spoken to turn you away from Yehovah
your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of
the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which Yehovah
thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put
the evil away from the midst of thee.
[6] If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter,
or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine
own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which
thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
[7] Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh
unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the
other end of the earth;
[8] Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor
hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him,
neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt
thou conceal him:
[9] But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and
afterwards the hand of all the people.
[10] And thou shalt stone him with stones,
that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from Yehovah thy God, which brought thee out of the land of
Egypt, from the house of bondage.
[11] And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such
wickedness as this is among you.
[12] If thou shalt hear say in one of thy
cities, which Yehovah thy God hath given thee to
dwell there, saying,
[13] Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you,
and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve
other gods, which ye have not known;
[14] Then shalt thou inquire, and make search,
and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that
such abomination is wrought among you;
[15] Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants
of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is
therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
[16] And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it
into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn
with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for Yehovah thy God: and it shall be an
heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
[17] And there shall cleave nought of the
cursed thing to thine hand: that Yehovah
may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew
thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn
unto thy fathers;
[18] When thou shalt hearken to the voice of Yehovah thy God, to keep all his commandments which I
command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of Yehovah thy God.
Josh.23
[11]
Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love Yehovah
your God.
[12] Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of
these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with
them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
[13] Know for a certainty that Yehovah your God will
no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be
snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes,
until ye perish from off this good land which Yehovah
your God hath given you.
[1]
But king Solomon loved many strange women,
together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites,
Zidonians,
and Hittites;
[2] Of the nations concerning which Yehovah said unto
the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in
unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon
clave unto these in love.
[3] And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred
concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
[4]
For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his
wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not
perfect with Yehovah his God, as was the heart of
David his father.
[5] For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians,
and after Milcom
the abomination of the Ammonites.
[6] And Solomon did evil in the sight of Yehovah,
and went not fully after Yehovah, as did
David his father.
[7] Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh,
the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech,
the abomination of the children of Ammon.
[8] And likewise did he
for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed
unto their gods.
[9] And Yehovah was angry
with Solomon, because his heart was turned from Yehovah
God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,
[10] And had commanded him concerning this thing,
that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which Yehovah
commanded.
[1] Now when these
things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the
priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves
from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations,
even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites,
the Jebusites,
the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
[2] For they have taken of their daughters for
themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves
with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and
rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
[3] And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and
plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.
[4] Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of
the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried
away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.
[5] And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and
having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my
hands unto Yehovah
my God.
[6] And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to
thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head,
and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.
[7] Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto
this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and
our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the
sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this
day.
[8] And now for a little space grace hath been shewed
from Yehovah
our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy
place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
[9] For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our
bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia,
to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the
desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
[10] And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have
forsaken thy commandments,
[11] Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The
land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of
the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one
end to another with their uncleanness.
[12] Now therefore give not your daughters unto
their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace
or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of
the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.
[13] And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our
great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our
iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
[14] Should we again break thy commandments, and
join in affinity with the people of these abominations? wouldest
not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us,
so that there should be no remnant nor escaping?
[15] O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet
escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for
we cannot stand before thee because of this.
[1]
Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting
himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a
very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very
sore.
[2] And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel,
one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange
wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning
this thing.
[3] Now therefore let us make a
covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them,
according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the
commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.
[4] Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee:
we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.
[5] Then arose Ezra, and made the chief priests, the Levites, and all
Israel, to swear that they should do according to this word. And they sware.
[6] Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the
chamber of Johanan
the son of Eliashib:
and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he
mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.
[7] And they made proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem unto all
the children of the captivity, that they should gather themselves together unto
Jerusalem;
[8] And that whosoever would not come within three days, according to
the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be
forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been
carried away.
[9] Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together
unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of
the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling
because of this matter, and for the great rain.
[10] And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have
transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
[11] Now therefore make confession
unto Yehovah
God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and
separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.
[12] Then all the congregation answered and said
with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.
[13] But the people are many, and
it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither
is this a work of one day or two: for we are many
that have transgressed in this thing.
[14] Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and
let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed
times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until
the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.
[15] Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahaziah
the son of Tikvah
were employed about this matter: and Meshullam and Shabbethai
the Levite helped them.
[16] And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with
certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them
by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth
month to examine the matter.
[17] And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives
by the first day of the first month.
[18] And among the sons of the priests there were found that had taken
strange wives: namely,
Read the List yourselves
[44]
All these had taken strange wives: and some of them had
wives by whom they had children.
Neh.10 … Read the whole chapter
[28] And the rest of the people, the
priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims,
and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto
the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having
knowledge, and having understanding;
[29] They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a
curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the
servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of Yehovah
our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
[30] And that we would not give our daughters unto
the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:
[31] And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath
day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath,
or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction
of every debt.
[32] Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the
third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;
[33] For the shewbread, and for
the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths,
of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin
offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of
our God.
[23] In those days also saw I Jews that had
married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:
[24] And their children spake half in the
speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to
the language of each people.
[25] And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.
[26] Did not
Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet
among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and
God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even
him did outlandish women cause to sin.
[27] Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?
[28] And one of
the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib
the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite:
therefore I chased him from me.
[29] Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood,
and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites.
[30] Thus cleansed I them from all strangers,
and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one
in his business;
[31] And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits.
Remember me, O my God, for good.
-------------------
1 Cor 5 [9] I wrote
unto you in an epistle not to company
with fornicators:
[10] Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the
covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for
then must ye needs go out of the world.
[11] But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man
that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner;
with such an one no not to eat.
[12] For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are
within?
[13] But them that are without God judgeth.
Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked
person.
In closing:
Be separate from
sinners, whether they are man or female, or you will fall.
Guard your Eternal Life, your
Salvation!
