Today we use the
Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.
Today is October 6, 2014
----------------------------------------------------
Yehovah has His own
calendar
We are now in the 7th
month called ha Ethanim, 10th
day
הָ אֵ תָ נִים
The alef and tav, first and last
(forever)
Ha Ethanim = “enduring” - the permanent brooks
הָאֵתָנִים -
ha Ethanim
הָאֵתָנִים- ha Ethanim - Always with the article
ha, the - permanent brooks;
Ethanim = enduring - seventh month,
corresponding end of Sept, Oct. - so named because permanent streams still
flowed - plural of the below word:
איתן eythan - perpetual, constant,
perennial, ever-flowing, ever-flowing (of a stream), permanence, permanent,
enduring (figuratively)
Most people have never heard
of ha Ethanim from scripture, they are brainwashed by Judaism to say Tishri
which is nowhere in scripture.
1Kgs.8 [2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king
Solomon at the feast in the month ha Ethanim, which is
the seventh month.

Remember we
rehearse a Day of Atonement as part of the shadow of things to come, in
someone’s life time, Messiah second coming, in the 7th month, ha ethanim.
A Day, but NO Atonement if you don't
have the Messiah and His shed Blood
Rabbinical
Judaism has tried to replace "the Blood Sacrifice" with fasting.
Judaism never talks about the "blood' that is needed on
Yom Kippur, day of atonement.
The
word afflict in Hebrew is "anah" meaning abase, humble or repent and never as "fast" in
the scriptures .
The
Hebrew word "tzum" means fast and is "Never"
used in connection with the Day of Atonement .
The Blood of
the sacrifice was to be the most important feature of the Day of Atonement.
NOTHING can change this!
Nothing can
be a substitute for the obligatory sacrifice that God gave Moses, which was a
"pattern", "a shadow" of Messiah.
Since the
Temple was destroyed and the priesthood abolished, a proper Day of Atonement
has been impossible to keep.
To whom shall we go?
Within a few
years after Messiah's death on the tree and His Resurrection God permitted the
Temple to be destroyed and the priesthood abolished.
The Temple
had served its purpose as "shadows of things to come".
Yes, the temple and priesthood were
"shadows of things to come". They "point" to the
Messiah, the Great High Priest and the perfect Lamb of God, without blemish,
who took away the sins of the world when He shed His Blood on the tree.
Scripture says, we are the Temple of the Living God now. We are priests.
---------------
PS: Anyway, when you fast,
that is between you and the Lord. Don't go around telling everyone you are
fasting.
Matt.6
[16]
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for
they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say
unto you, They have their reward.
[17] But
thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
[18] That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in
secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall
reward thee openly.

Yom Kippur - day of atonement in the book of
Hebrews
Heb.9[6] Now when these things
were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle,
accomplishing the service of God.[7] But into the second went the high priest
alone once every year , not without blood , which he offered for himself, and
for the errors of the people:[8] The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the
way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first
tabernacle was yet standing:[9] Which was a figure for
the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that
could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the
conscience;[10] Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and
carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[11] But Christ / Messiah being come an high priest of good
things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands,
that is to say, not of this building;[12] Neither by
the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the
holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us .[13] For if the blood
of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:[14] How much
more shall the blood of Messiah / Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit offered himself
without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living
God?[15] And for this cause He, Messiah
is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for
the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they
which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.[16] For
where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the
testator.[17] For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is
of no strength at all while the testator liveth.[18] Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.[19]
For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law,
he took the blood of calves and of goats,
with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all
the people,[20] Saying,( Exod. 24:8 ) This is the
blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.[21]
Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the
tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.[22] And almost all things are
by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
( fasting is good, but the Day of Atonement requires the Blood! )
Exod.24[ 8] And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the
people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath
made with you concerning all these words.
Heb.9 [23] It was therefore
necessary that the "patterns" of things in
the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things
themselves with better sacrifices than these.[24] For Messiah,Christ
is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of
the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for
us:[25] Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every
year with blood of others;[26] For then must he often have suffered
since the foundation of the world: but now once in
the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of
himself.[27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after
this the judgment:[28] So Messiah,Christ
was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him
shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

"Patterns, Signs, Shadows of good
things to come"
It was said:
Lev.16
[34] And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you,
to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year (Day of Atonement)
It was explained:
Heb.10[1]
For the law having a shadow of good things to come , and
"not the very image of the things", can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto
perfect.
[2] For
then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once
purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of
sins every year.

[4] For
it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. (forever)

[14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are

[15]
Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said
before,
ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS
FOREVER
(No more sacrifices for sin are needed)
No more daily sacrifice needed
Heb.7[ 27] Who needeth not daily, as those high
priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the

Heb.9[ 12] Neither by the
blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he

for us.
[26]
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to
put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
[28] So Messiah / Messiah was once offered to bear the sins of
many
; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without
sin unto salvation.
Heb.10 [10] By the which will we

And every priest standeth daily

Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.[12] For I will be
merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I
remember no more.
Jer.31[31] Behold, the days come, saith Yehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with
the house of Judah: [32] Not according
to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I
took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant
they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith Yehovah:[33] But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of
Israel; After those days, saith Yehovah, I will put my law in their

28: He that despised Moses' law died
without mercy under two or three witnesses:
[29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath
counted the blood of the (New) covenant , ( Heb.
8:8, Jer. 31:31) wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath
done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Exod.
24 [7] And he
took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they
said, All that Yehovah hath said will we do, and be obedient.[8] And
Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the (Old )
covenant , which Yehovah hath made with you concerning
all these words.

**back to Heb.10
31: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32: But
call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye
endured a great fight of afflictions;
33: Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly,
whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34: For ye had compassion of me in my
bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that
ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35: Cast not away therefore your confidence,
which hath great recompence of reward.
36: For ye have need of patience, that,
after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37: For yet a little while, and he that shall come
will come, and will not tarry.
38: Now the just shall live by faith : but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no
pleasure in him.

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

39: But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition;
but of them that believe to the saving of the soul

Remember:
We
rehearse a Day of Atonement as part of the shadow of things to come, in
someone’s life time, Messiah second coming, in the 7th month, ha ethanim.
The blood -
that covers, atones
Fasting
has NOTHING to do with ATONEMENT
Lev. 17 [11] For the life of the flesh is in the
blood: and I have given it(the blood) to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
------------
Matt.26 [28]Yeshua said : For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed
for many for the remission of sins.
John.6 [53] Then Yeshua
said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of
the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no
life in you.
[54] Whoso eateth my flesh,
and drinketh my blood, hath
eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
[55] For my flesh is meat
indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
[56] He that eateth my flesh,
and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me,
and I in him.

Redeemed,
covered, atoned by Messiah blood
Rom.5[9] Much more then, being now
justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
1Cor.10[16] The cup of blessing which we
bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Messiah?
The bread which we break, is it not the communion of
the body of Messiah?
1Cor.11[25] After the same manner also
he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in
remembrance of me.
Eph.1[7] In whom we have redemption through (Messiah) his blood, the
forgiveness of sins….
Eph.2[13] But now in Messiah Yeshua ye
who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood
of Messiah.
Col.1[14] In whom we have redemption
through (Messiah) his blood, even the forgiveness of
sins:
[20] And, having
made peace through the blood of (Messiah) his cross, by him to reconcile
all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or
things in heaven.
1 John 2 [2] And He Messiah is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but
also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 4[10] Herein is love, not
that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent His Son ( the word, Messiah )
to be the propitiation for our sins.
Propitiate: To conciliate, appease:
--------------------------
In closing:
Be atoned every day!
Remember:
Neither
Moses nor David had the "Temple", this
is not a requirement.
Solomon built the 1st Temple.
Since 1948, there is a Israel again.
They are not in captivity.
Messiah has come and gone and will return one day
The "BLOOD"
is still required.
If one of the requirements was to fast (tsom, tsum), on the Day of
Atonement, why simply did not Yehovah / YHVH tell us?
Get prepared for:
Feast of Tabernacles - Oct. 11 through 18 - the first and
last day, the 8th day are both Saturday Sabbaths
Shabbat
Shalom

The verses below are 100's of years after Exodus.
The verses below have nothing to do with the Day of
Atonement.
Pss.35[13]
But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my
soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
Pss.69[10]
When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.
Ezra.8[21]
Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava,
that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for
us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
Isa.58[3] Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we
afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge?
Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
[5] Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is
it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under
him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day
to Yehovah?
This study above
has nothing to do with, when Moses went up to the Lord in the mount and did not
eat or drink. (two times)
I venture to
say, when you are in the presence of the Lord, like Moses was, eating and
drinking is the last thing on you mind.
Exod. 24
[18] And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount:
and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
Exod. 34
[28] And he was there with the LORD forty days and
forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the
tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Neither
is the word "fast" - tusm, tsom, in those scriptures.
