Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory,
from the 1500’s
Today is Dec. 1, 2012
December -- the tenth month – (now in 2012 – it
is the 12th month)
Middle
English decembre
Old French decembre
Latin december "tenth month"
Latin decem
"ten" + -ber
(adj. suffix)
December had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days,
until Julius when it became 31 days long.
------------------
Now, God’s truth
Yehovah has His own calendar
We are now in the ninth
month called Chislev, 16th day
לַחֹדֶשׁ
הַתְּשִׁעִי--בְּכִסְלֵו
Zech.7
[1] And it came to pass in the fourth
year of king Darius, that the word of Yehovah came unto Zechariah in the fourth
day of the
ninth month, even in Chisleu (Chislev), which is a part of Nov. & Dec.
--------------------------------------------
Remember:
"Tis the season to be pagan", Beware!
---------
Beware of the:
False image of Love
False feelings and emotions
These pagan feasts bring on
loneliness, depression, suicide and oh yes, debt.
---------
In the next few
weeks, Lord willing, I will be focusing on two fictitious holidays that almost
everyone participates in some fashion
that comes in December, Christmas and Hanukkah.
Remember John said:
1 John 2 [21] I have not written unto you because ye
know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
Rev. 21 [8]
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire
and brimstone: which is the second death.
So you see, your testimony is of the
upmost importance – You are to be a “light”, truth barer.
Two questions come to mind:
Did you learn the way of the heathen?
Did you ever say, "Surely our fathers have inherited lies,
vanity, and things wherein there is no profit?
Jer. 10 [2] Thus saith Yehovah, Learn not the way of the
heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are
dismayed at them.
Jer. 16 [19] Yehovah, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Bring out of darkness "the light"
----------
Satan is working overtime to put out "the light"
Rev. 12
[12]
... Woe to the inhabiters of
the earth and of the sea! for the
devil is come down unto you, having great wrath,
because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
---
As you know, if you follow my studies, I am
always trying to "bring to "light"
all the "ways of God" that have
been lost in "darkness".
Here
are a few subjects I have explained:
Examples: http://oneinmessiah.net/Bible101.htm
The Sabbath
The Feasts and Holy days of the Lord
God's Election
Clean and unclean
God's calendar

What is sin?
Where are the ten commandments located in scriptures?
What are the Ten Commandments?
Are you keeping the commandments?
Are the commandments applicable for today?
What is our righteousness?
What are ignorant and willful, presumptuous sin.
Can you be perfect?
What is love?
What does born again mean?
What was the original meaning of the word Christian?
What is the meaning of the word church?
What is the new covenant?
Who was the new covenant given to?
Do you need to "Fear" the Lord always?
What does holy mean?
Do you know your body is the Temple of the Living God?
How should I dress as a woman?
Does the Lord have His own calendar?
Does the Lord have His own feasts in scripture?
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do you know you are the light of the world? ;
Hath God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew?

Scripture says:
Rom.10 [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
So let's read
Luke 1
Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, that thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
------------
John, a light of the world
There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course, according to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.
And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.
And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.
And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of
his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months,
saying, Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days
wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
Yeshua, the light of the world
And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Yeshua. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible.
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.
--------------
Back to John, a light of the world
Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.
And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.
And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.
And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.
And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.
And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.
And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, and hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, that he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go
before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation
unto his people by the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our
God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the
shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit,
and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing
unto Israel.
-----------------
Now it is our turn to be "the light of the world"
Matt. 5 [14] Ye
are the light of the world. A city that is set on an
hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it
under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that
are in the house. Let your light so shine
before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is
in heaven.
Matt. 6 [22]
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore
thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine
eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the
light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Luke. 8 [16]
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with
a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth
it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
Luke 11 [33]
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret
place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which
come in may see the light.
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
Luke 12 [35] Let your loins be girded about, and your “lights” burning;
------
Yeshua, the light of the world
John 1 [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
-----------
[6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Yeshua
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was
made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
----------------
John 3 [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
--------------------
John 8 [12] Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
--------------------
John 9 [5] As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
--------------------
John 11 [9] Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. [10] But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
--------------------
John 12 [35] Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. [36] While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
[46] I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
[47] And if any man hear my words,
and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to
save the world.
[48] He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my
words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall
judge him in the last day.
[49] For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me
a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
[50] And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak
therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
--------------------
Paul, a light of the world
Acts 26
[1] Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art
permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and
answered for himself:
[2] I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for
myself this day before thee touching all the things
whereof I am accused of the Jews:
[3] Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and
questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me
patiently.
[4] My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine
own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
[5] Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after
the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a
Pharisee.
[6] And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of
God unto our fathers:
[7] Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and
night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king
Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
[8] Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God
should raise the dead?
[9] I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary
to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
[10] Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the
chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
[11] And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to
blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto
strange cities.
[12] Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from
the chief priests,
[13] At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the
brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
[14] And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking
unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest
thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the
pricks.
[15] And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he
said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
[16] But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee
for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things
which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
[17] Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom
now I send thee,
[18] To open their eyes, and to turn them
from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that
they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are
sanctified by faith that is in me.
[19] Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not
disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
[20] But shewed first unto them of Damascus,
and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the
Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for
repentance.
[21] For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about
to kill me.
[22] Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day,
witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which
the prophets and Moses did say should come:
[23] That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that
should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto
the people, and to the Gentiles.
[24] And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice,
Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee
mad.
[25] But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the
words of truth and soberness.
[26] For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak
freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for
this thing was not done in a corner.
[27] King Agrippa, believest thou the
prophets? I know that thou believest.
[28] Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest
me to be a Christian.
[29] And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all
that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except
these bonds.
[30] And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor,
and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
[31] And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves,
saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
[32] Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at
liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
--------------------
Phil. 2 [14] Do all things without murmurings and disputings:[15] That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
--------------------
1 Thes. 5 [1]
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto
you.
[2] For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as
a thief in the night.
[3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction
cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not
escape.
[4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness,
that that day should overtake you as a thief.
[5] Ye are all the children of light, and
the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us
watch and be sober.
[7] For they that sleep sleep in the night;
and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
[8] But let us, who are of the day,
be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
[9] For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by
our Lord Jesus Christ,
[10] Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live
together with him.
[11] Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even
as also ye do.
[12] And we beseech you, brethren, to
know them which labour among you, and are over you in
the Lord, and admonish you;
[13] And to esteem them very
highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
[14] Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the
feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all
men.
[15] See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow
that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
[16] Rejoice evermore.
[17] Pray without ceasing.
[18] In every thing give thanks: for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
[19] Quench not the Spirit.
[20] Despise not prophesyings.
[21] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
[22] Abstain from all appearance of evil.
[23] And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your
whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
[24] Faithful is he that calleth you, who also
will do it.
[25] Brethren, pray for us.
[26] Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.
[27] I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be
read unto all the holy brethren.
[28] The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with
you. Amen.
--------------------
Remember
1 Pet. 2 [9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1 John 1
[1] That which was from the beginning,
which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked
upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
[2] (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness,
and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with
the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
[3] That which we have seen and heard declare we
unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is
with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
[4] And these things write we unto you, that
your joy may be full.
[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare
unto you, that God is light, and in him is no
darkness at all.
[6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we
lie, and do not the truth:
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the
light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his
Son cleanseth us from all sin.
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us.
[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not
in us.
--------------------
1 John 2 [8]
Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing
is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. [9]
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth
his brother, is in darkness even until now.
[10] He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of
stumbling in him.
It is high time to "wake up"
Rom.13 [11] And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
[12] The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
[13] Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
[14] But put ye on the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
--------------------
After the end of this world as we know it:
Rev. 21 [1]
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first
earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
[2] And I John saw the holy city, new
Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for
her husband.
[23]
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon,
to shine in it: for the glory of God did
lighten it, and the
Lamb is the light thereof.
[24] And the nations of them which are
saved shall walk in the light of
it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour
into it.
Rev. 22 [5] And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Don't let Satan put you out, be a "light of this world"
