Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s
Today is Oct. 8, 2016
October -- the eighth month – now it is the 10th month
Middle English octobre
Latin October
Latin octo "eight" + -ber (adj. suffix)
Latin october mensis "eighth month"
October has always had 31 days.
-----------------
Yehovah has His own calendar
We are now in the 7th month, day 6, of the God of Israel called ha Ethanim
A part of October and November
------------
Here are the dates that are left for this year, 2016
Remember, they all start the evening before!
Wednesday, October 12, 2016 - a day of atonement - Sabbath
Monday, October 17th, 2016 to Monday, October 24th, 2016 – two Sabbaths - the feast of tabernacles
The name ha Ethanim has been deleted from the world
The Gregorian calendar calls it October and Judaism and some Messianics call it Tishri
Here is what is missing
God calls it ha Ethanim
הָ אֵ תָ נִים
אֵ תָ
God is the Alef and Tav, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending
The Alpha and Omega is the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet
-----
הָ אֵ תָ נִים
Ha Ethanim = “enduring” - the permanent brooks, water
הָאֵתָנִים - ha Ethanim
הָ Ha, the (the definite article)
אֵ aleph (first letter in Hebrew alphabet)
תָ tov (last letter in Hebrew alphabet)
נִים neem permanent brooks
הָאֵתָנִים - ha Ethanim always has the definite article ha, the, which means the permanent brooks
Ethanim - enduring - seventh month, corresponding end of Sept, Oct. - so named because permanent streams, water still flowed - plural of the below word:
איתן eythan - perpetual, constant, perennial, ever-flowing, ever-flowing (of a stream), permanence, permanent, enduring - water
Are you ready for "an enduring", "permanent", "perpetual" fountain of living waters?
Messiah is the Living waters מַיִם חַיִּים
Jer. 2 [13] For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
---------------
Jer. 17 [13] Yehovah, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Yehovah, the fountain of living waters .
---------------
Most people have never heard of ha Ethanim from scripture, they are brainwashed
by Judaism and some Messianics
to say Tishri which is nowhere in scripture.
They need to read :
1Kgs.8 [2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month ha Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

The Sabbath, the 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan
Exod. 20
[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
זכר zâkar - zaw-kar' - A
primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication
to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember,
make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance
[9] Six days shalt
thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:
in it thou shalt not
do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter,
thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Deut. 5
[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yehovah thy God hath
commanded thee.
[13] Six days thou shalt
labour, and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath
of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou,
nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy
cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates;
that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done:
But the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;
ye shall do no work therein:
it is the Sabbath of Yehovah
in all your dwellings.
Dwelling מושׁב - môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, your situation, location,
(or at the) time of dwelling
The Sabbath is a "holy convocation"
מקרא miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal
קדשׁ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness to the God of Israel
No Servile work- melakat avodah מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה
עֲבֹדָה avodah - work of any kind: act, bondservant, labor, service, tillage, work
מְלֶאכֶת melakat – occupation
Today’s Topic:
Focus on relevancy to Truth
Relevancy: Connected with the matter at hand
With scripture we need to focus on what is relevant, whether a subject is a salvation issue or not.
The reason I put this study together a few years ago is
because I hear so many people arguing about irrelevant subjects
that are neither here nor there, making their own commandments up, or hanging
on to old baggage from the last religion they attended.
God is explicit not implicit in what He says, leaving
nothing to the imagination.
Explicit: fully and
clearly expressed
or demonstrated;
leaving nothing
merely implied
We cannot imply or falsely
judge.
Implicit: Implied, rather
than expressly
stated
Implied: to indicate or suggest without being explicitly stated
Insinuate: to suggest or hint slyly, to bring
or introduce
into a
position or
relation by
indirect or
artful methods: to instill or infuse subtly or artfully, as
into the
mind
You need to understand these words below:
I heard this term used a few weeks ago at our congregation, hermeneutics. When discussing scripture, we all try to use hermeneutics knowingly or unknowingly.
Some people
have a perverted exegesis:
Most people
use this one below:
----------
Let us consider these terms:
Relevant - bearing upon or
connected with the matter in hand; pertinent
A salvation issue
Not so relevant – not so pertinent
Irrelevant - not relevant; not applicable or pertinent
--------------------
Here are four questions you should ask yourself:
What are the relevant subjects in scripture you should focus on first in your short life?
What are the not so relevant subjects in scripture you should focus on later in your studies if needed?
What are the irrelevant subjects in scripture that no one can answer
or have no bearing on anything of importance?
Again, we cannot make up our own commandments or use our own interpretations.
--------------------
What should we focus on first?
Sin seems to be the most pressing issue to understand and avoid, a salvation issue.
Question:
What is SIN?
Answer:
In plain English
Do you know the Laws of God?
Do you know there are 2 types of sin?
You can sin
through ignorance or sin presumptuously
Let’s start with the 10 Commandments
Do you know where the 10 Commandments are in scripture?
Here they are in Exod. 20 & Deut.5
[1] And God spake
all these words, saying, [2] I am Yehovah
thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of
bondage.
1 - [3] Thou shalt have
no other gods before me.
2 - [4] Thou shalt not
make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in
the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
[5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself
to them, nor serve them: for I Yehovah
thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the
children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
[6] And shewing mercy unto thousands
of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
3 - [7] Thou shalt not
take the name of Yehovah
thy God in vain; for Yehovah
will not hold him guiltless that taketh
his name in vain.
4 - [8] Remember the sabbath
day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou
labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath
of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou,
nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy
cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah
made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh
day: wherefore Yehovah
blessed the sabbath
day, and hallowed it.
5 - [12] Honour thy father and thy
mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which Yehovah thy God giveth thee.
6 - [13] Thou shalt not
kill.
7 - [14] Thou shalt not
commit adultery.
8 - [15] Thou shalt not
steal.
9 - [16] Thou shalt not
bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10 - [17] Thou shalt not
covet thy neighbor’s house,
thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his
manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor
any thing that is thy neighbour's.
We should examine ourselves if we are keeping these or
not and prove all things
[5] Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith;prove your own selves.
Know ye not your own selves, how that Yeshua the Messiah is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Don’t Sin presumptuous, knowingly
Pss.4 [4] Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your
bed, and be still. Selah.
Pss.39[1] I said, I will
take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a
bridle, while the wicked is before me.
Ezek.3 [21] Nevertheless if
thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he
shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
John 5 [1] After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Yeshua went up to Jerusalem.
[2] Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in
the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
[3] In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered,
waiting for the moving of the water.
[4] For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the
water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was
made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
[5] And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
[6] When Yeshua saw him lie, and knew
that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
[7] The impotent man answered him, Sir,
I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I
am coming, another steppeth
down before me.
[8] Yeshua saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
[9] And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked:
and on the same day was the sabbath.
[10] The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath
day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
[11] He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up
thy bed, and walk.
[12] Then asked they him, What
man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
[13] And he that was healed wist
not who it was: for Yeshua
had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
[14] Afterward Yeshua findeth him in the temple,
and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
John.8
[1] Yeshua
went unto the mount of
Olives.
[2] And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people
came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
[3] And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery;
and when they had set her in the midst,
[4] They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very
act.
[5] Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
[6] This they said, tempting him, that
they might have to accuse him. But Yeshua
stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them
not.
[7] So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto
them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
[8] And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
[9] And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out
one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Yeshua was left alone, and
the woman standing in the midst.
[10] When Yeshua had lifted up
himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
[11] She said, No man, Lord. And Yeshua
said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
[12] Then spake
Yeshua again unto them,
saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but
shall have the light of life.
---------------
1 Cor. 15 [34] Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
Eph.4 [25] Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
[26] Be ye angry, and sin not: let not
the sun go down upon your wrath:
[27] Neither give place to the devil.
[28] Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
[29] Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
[30] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
[31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
[32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Messiah's sake hath forgiven you.
1 John. 5 [16] If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.
There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
[17] All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
Prov. 21 [4] An
high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
Prov.24 [9] The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an
abomination to men.
Rom.14 [23] .…for whatsoever is not
of faith is sin.
1Cor.15 [56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
Jas. 4 [17] Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
--------------------
Sin through ignorance
---------------
[1] And it came to pass,
that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples
said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
[2] And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our
Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in
heaven, so in earth.
[3] Give us day by day our daily bread.
[4] And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive
every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver
us from evil.
[44] And he said unto
them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while
I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me.
[45] Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
[46] And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Messiah to suffer, and
to rise from the dead the third day:
[47] And that repentance and remission of sins should
be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Acts.2 [38] Then Peter said
unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Yeshua the Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the
gift of the Holy Ghost.
Gal.1 [4] Who
gave Himself for our sins, that he might deliver
us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
Eph.1 [7] In
whom we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Acts.3 [19] Repent ye therefore, and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted out, when the
times of refreshing shall come from the presence of Yehovah;
[20] And he shall send Yeshua the Messiah,
which before was preached unto you:
[21] Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things,
which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world
began.
[22] For Moses truly
said unto the fathers, A prophet shall Yehovah your God
raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all
things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
[23] And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that
prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
[24] Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many
as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
[25] Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made
with our fathers, saying unto Abraham,
And in thy seed shall
all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
-----------------------
Some things, situations, objects, even people may not be relevant
Luke 10 [38] Now it came to pass, as they
went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha
received him into her house.
[39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Yeshua' feet, and heard his
word.
[40] But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
[41] And Yeshua answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
[42] But one thing is needful:
and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall
not be taken away from her.
----------------
I know there is so much more to say, however we will end
for today
Ecc.12 [13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
In closing: Again, focus on what is relevant, whether it is a salvation issue or not, don’t imply and falsely judge.
