Let’s pray
--------------------------------------------
Today we use the
Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,
July 29, 2017 - in
the 21 Century
July -- Julius Caesar's month
Middle English Julie
Latin Julius "Julius"
Latin Julius mensis "month of Julius"
Latin quintilis mensis "fifth month"
Quintilis (and later Julius) has always had 31 days.
Julius Caesar reformed the
Roman calendar (hence the Julian calendar) in 46 BC. In the process, he renamed
this month after himself.
-----------------
We acknowledge God’s
calendar
We are now in:
The
5th month of God which has no name, 5th
day
Judaism
calls the 5th month Av which is not
in the Hebrew Bible nor is scriptural

Today’s topic:
Follow us
as we follow the Lord Yeshua
We are instructed in scripture by ensamples,
take note:
1 Cor.10 [11] Now all these things happened unto
them for ensamples: and they are written for our
admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. [12] Wherefore let him
that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
[13]
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is
faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but
will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear
it.
Phil.3[16] Nevertheless,
whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the
same rule, let us mind the same thing.[17] Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk
so as ye have us for an ensample.
1Thes.1 [5] For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in
power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of
men we were among you for your sake.
[6] And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much
affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:[7] So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and
Achaia.
2Thes.3 [7] For yourselves know how ye ought to
follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
[8] Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought;
but wrought with labour and travail night and day,
that we might not be chargeable to any of you:[9] Not because we have not
power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to
follow us.
1Pet.5[1] The elders which are
among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Messiah,
and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:[2] Feed the flock of
God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but
willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
[3] Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but
being ensamples to the flock. [4] And when the chief Shepherd shall
appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth
not away.
2Pet.2 [4] For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them
down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto
judgment;
[5] And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher
of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
[6] And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into
ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an
ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
1 Cor.10 [1] Moreover,
brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were
under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
[2] And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
[3] And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
[4] And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that
spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Messiah.
[5] But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in
the wilderness.
[6] Now these things were our examples, to the
intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1Tim.4 [12] Let no man
despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the
believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in
purity.
Heb.4 [11] Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Jas.5 [9]
Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the
judge standeth before the door.
[10]
Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of
patience.
[11] Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of
Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of
tender mercy.
1 Pet.2 [21] For even hereunto were ye called: because Messiah also
suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should
follow His steps:
[22] Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth:
[23] Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He
threatened not; but committed Himself to Him( the Father) that judgeth righteously…
Matt.4 [19] And Yeshua saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matt.8 [22] But Yeshua said unto him, Follow Me;
and let the dead bury their dead.
Matt.9 [9] And as Yeshua passed forth from
thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow Me. And he arose, and followed him.
Matt.16 [24] Then said Yeshua unto his
disciples, If any man will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow
Me.
Matt.19 [21]Yeshua said unto him, If thou
wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
John.10 [27] My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:
John.12 [26] If any
man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall
also my servant be: if any man serve Me,
him will my Father honor.
John.8 [12] Then spake Yeshua again unto them,
saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the
light of life.
Rom.15 [5] Now
the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward
another according to Messiah Yeshua: [6] That ye may with
one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
2 Cor.13 [11] Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort,
be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of
love and peace shall be with you.
Phil.1 [27] Only let your conversation be as it becometh
the gospel of Messiah: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I
may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one
spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Phil.2 [1] If there be
therefore any consolation in Messiah, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship
of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, [2] Fulfil
ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same
love, being of one accord, of one mind. [3] Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but
in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than
themselves.
1Pet.3 [8] Finally, be ye all of one mind,
having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: [9] Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but
contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye
should inherit a blessing.
In one accord, one heart,
one voice,
one body
---------------------------------------
Assemble
yourselves
As the
children of Israel did all though scripture in one place
Heb.10. [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to
good works: [25] Not
forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting
one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Acts 1 - Feast of Weeks / Pentecost
[1] The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus,
of all that Yeshua began both to do and teach,
[2] Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the
Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
[3] To whom also he shewed himself alive after
his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and
speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
[4] And, being assembled together with them,
commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the
promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard
of me.
[5] For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with
the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 2 [1] And
when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all
with one accord in one place.
Acts 4[31] And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all
filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word
of God with boldness.
Acts 11 [25] Then
departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: [26]
And when he had found him, he brought him unto
Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they
assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And
the disciples were called Messiahians first in
Antioch.
Acts 15 [25] It seemed good unto us, being
assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our
beloved Barnabas and Paul, [26] Men that have hazarded their lives for
the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
1Kgs.8 [1] Then Solomon assembled
the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers
of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might
bring up the ark of the covenant of Yehovah out of
the city of David, which is Zion.[2] And all the men of Israel
assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the
feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh
month.
[5] And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him,
were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be
told nor numbered for multitude.
2Chr.30[13] And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of
unleavened bread in the second month, a
very great congregation.
Ezra.3 [1] And
when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities,
the people gathered themselves together as one man
to Jerusalem.
Neh.8 [1] And all the people gathered
themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water
gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring
the book of the law of Moses, which Yehovah had
commanded to Israel.
Esth.8[11] Wherein the king granted the
Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to
stand for their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all the
power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and
women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,
Esth.9[2] The Jews gathered themselves together in their
cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus,
to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for
the fear of them fell upon all people.
Neh.8[14] And they found written in the law (Lev. 23) which Yehovah had commanded by Moses, that
the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month…
Num.9 [13] But the man that is clean, and is
not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought
not the offering of Yehovah in his appointed season,
that man shall bear his sin.
Luke.8[4] And when much
people were gathered together, and were
come to Him out of every city, Yeshua spake by a parable…
Luke.11[29] And when the
people were gathered thick together, Yeshua began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek
a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
The
feasts of Yehovah
Exod.23 [14] Three times thou shalt keep
a feast unto Me in the year.
"7" other
Sabbaths besides the weekly 7th day Sabbath
NO WORK - NO BUYING or SELLING
1 – 3 – 7
The 1st month has 2, the 3rd month has
1, and the 7th month has 4
Lev.23 [1] And Yehovah spake
unto Moses, saying,[2] Speak unto the children
of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts
of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts.
[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy
convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the
sabbath of Yehovah in all
your dwellings.
[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy
convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
[5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yehovah's
passover.
[6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is
the feast of unleavened bread unto Yehovah: seven
days ye must eat unleavened bread.
1 extra Sabbath*** [7]
In the first day ye shall
have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
2 extra Sabbath *** [8]
But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah seven days: in the
seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
[9] And Yehovah spake
unto Moses, saying,
[10] Speak unto the children of Israel,
and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and
shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest:
[11] And he shall wave the sheaf before Yehovah,
to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath
the priest shall wave it.
[12] And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the
first year for a burnt offering unto Yehovah.
[13] And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine
flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto Yehovah
for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof
shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
[14] And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears,
until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations
in all your dwellings.
[15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow
after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering;
seven Sabbaths shall be complete:
[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath
shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.
[17] Ye shall bring out of your
habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine
flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the first fruits unto Yehovah.
[18] And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of
the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt
offering unto Yehovah, with their meat offering, and
their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto Yehovah.
[19] Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering,
and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
[20] And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits
for a wave offering before Yehovah, with the two
lambs: they shall be holy to Yehovah for the priest.
3 extra Sabbath *** [21]
And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may
be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in
all your dwellings throughout your generations.
[22] And when ye reap the harvest of your
land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the
corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am Yehovah your God.
[23] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
4 extra Sabbath *** [24]
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first
day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets,
an holy convocation.
[25] Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye
shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.
[26] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
5 extra Sabbath *** [27]
Also on the tenth day of this seventh month
there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you;
and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.
[28] And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to
make an atonement for you before Yehovah
your God.
[29] For whatsoever soul it be
that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among
his people.
[30] And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work
in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
[31] Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a
statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[32] It shall be unto you a sabbath
of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at
even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your Sabbath.
[33] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day
of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto Yehovah.
6 extra Sabbath *** [35]
On the first day shall
be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
7 extra Sabbath *** [36]
Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah:
on the eighth day shall be an
holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah: it is a solemn assembly;
and ye shall do no servile work therein.
[37] These are
the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall
proclaim to be holy convocations,
to offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a
sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his
day:
[38] Beside the sabbaths of Yehovah, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows,
and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto Yehovah.
[39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh
month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days:
on the first day shall be a sabbath,
and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
[40] And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees,
branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the
brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yehovah your God seven days.
[41] And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yehovah seven days in the year.
It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it
in the seventh month.
[42] Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that
are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
[43] That your generations may know that I made the children
of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I
am Yehovah your God.
[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of Yehovah.
Exod.12 [15] Seven days shall ye eat unleavened
bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for
whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day
until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off
from Israel.
[19] Seven days shall there be no
leaven found in your houses:
Or anywhere for that matter
for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut
off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the
land.
Exod.13 [7] Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither
shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.
-----------------------------------
1 Cor.11[1] Be ye
followers of me, even as I also am of Messiah. [2] Now I praise you,
brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep
the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
Eph.5[1] Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; [2] And walk in love,
as Messiah also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a
sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
[3] But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once
named among you, as becometh saints;
[4] Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not
convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
[5] For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous
man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah and of
God.
[6] Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh
the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
[7] Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
[8] For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as
children of light:
[9] (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth;)
[10] Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
[11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather
reprove them.
[12] For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in
secret.
[13] But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for
whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
[14] Wherefore he saith, Awake
thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Messiah
shall give thee light.
[15] See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
[16] Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
[17] Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord
is.
[18] And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the
Spirit;
[19] Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
[20] Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of
our Lord Yeshua the Messiah;
[21] Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Phil.3[17]
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark
them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
1Thes.1[6] And ye became
followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction,
with joy of the Holy Ghost:
1Thes.2[14] For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in
Judaea are in Messiah Yeshua: for ye also have
suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: [15] Who both killed
the Lord Yeshua, and their own prophets, and have
persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
[16] Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill
up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them
to the uttermost.
Heb.6[10] For God is not
unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love,
which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have
ministered to the saints, and do minister.
[11] And we desire that every one of you do shew the
same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: [12] That ye be not slothful, but
followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
1Pet.3[13] And who is he
that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is
good?
--------------------
1 Cor.4 [14] I write not these
things to shame you, but as my beloved sons (and daughters) I warn you.
[15] For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Messiah, yet have ye not
many fathers: for in Messiah Yeshua I have begotten you through the gospel.
[16]
Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
1Thes.2 [17] But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in
presence, not in heart, endeavored the more abundantly
to see your face with great desire. (that is
how we should miss each other)
In closing:
I beseech you, brothers and sisters, suffer the
word of exhortation: for I have written this study unto you in few words, hoping
to see you one day again.
Salute all
the saints. They of Tennessee salute you.
Grace be with you all
Amen
