 Let’s pray

 --------------------------------------------

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

[10] Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

[11] Give us this day our daily bread.

[12] And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.

[13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Amen.

[14] For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

[15] But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

April 4, 2015

Spring is here

April -- Aphrodite's month

Old English April(is)
Latin Aprilis
Etruscan Apru
Greek Aphro, short for Aphrodite.

Aprilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long. Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love and beauty. She is identified with the Roman goddess Venus.

-----------------

Today’s topic:

Get the “old leaven” out (of your hearts, lives)

I mean false doctrines, hypocrisy, malice and wickedness

Paul says:

1 Cor. 5 [8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

------------------------

Beware of "leaven" - false doctrines and hypocrisy

Beware of false pastors, teachers and fake rabbis

Matt. 16 [6] Then Yeshua said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

[7] And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
[8] Which when Yeshua perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
[9] Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
[10] Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

[11] How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

[12] Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

----------------

Mark 8 [11] And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
[12] And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.
[13] And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.
[14] Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

[15] And he charged them, saying, take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

[16] And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
[17] And when Yeshua knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
[18] Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
[19] When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
[20] And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
[21] And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

----------------

Luke 12 [1] In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

-----------------------

Yeshua and His disciples kept the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened bread

Matt. 26 [17] Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Yeshua, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

Mark 14 [1] After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

[12] And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

Luke 22 [1] Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.

[7] Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.

Paul and the people with him also kept the days of unleavened bread

Acts 20 [6] And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.

--------------

Hypocrisy

Isa. 32

[6] For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against Yehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

חנף   chôneph - kho'-nef - moral filth, that is, wickedness: - hypocrisy - godlessness, hypocrite, profaneness, soiled (that is, with sin), impious and godless

---------------

Matt. 23

[1] Then spake Yeshua to the multitude, and to his disciples,
[2] Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
[3] All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

[4] For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
[5] But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
[6] And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

[7] And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

[8] But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

[9] And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

[10] Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

[11] But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
[12] And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

[13] But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

[14] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

[15] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

[16] Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

[17] Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
[18] And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

[19] Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

[20] Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
[21] And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
[22] And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.

[23] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

[24] Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

[25] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

[26] Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

[27] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
[28] Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

[29] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

[30] And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
[31] Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
[32] Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

[33] Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

[34] Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
[35] That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
[36] Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

[37] O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
[38] Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

[39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

---------------

Mark 12 [13] And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
[14] And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

[15] Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.

[16] And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
[17] And Yeshua answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

[18] Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection (hypocrisy); and they asked him, saying,

[19] Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
[20] Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
[21] And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
[22] And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
[23] In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

[24] And Yeshua answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

[25] For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
[26] And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
[27] He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

The feasts of Yehovah

מוֹעֲדֵי יְהוָה

Lev. 23 [2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

[37] These are the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:

[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of Yehovah.

PASSOVER HAGGADAH - SEDER SERVICE

The order of service

The word Seder means "Order", as in order of the service.

Exod.12: [25] And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which Yehovah will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

[26] And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

-----------

HAGGADAH means "the Telling"

HAGGADAH is the name of the many versions of books that have been written which tell of the Passover story through the Seder dinner.

Many of these Passover Seders are not scriptural. We do not say the Dayanu.

We do not have eggs, shank bone or the afikoman.

We do not charge money to anyone for the Passover.

We do not go to 2 or 3 Passover services, only one on the right day with people of God

We believe Yeshua, Elijah is come, John the Baptist.

We don't make a big deal of washing hands.

We try to leave out all these traditions because they cloud the real meaning of the Passover.

Beware of "Made-up analogies".

Quoting from the Talmud is unwise and unscriptural.

THE FESTIVAL MEAL

SHULCHAN ORECH (Set table)

A little leaven, a little sin leaveneth the whole lump!

Passover meal

The Matzah, The Unleavened bread - humble bread, not puffed up (leaven - symbolic of sin).

The Roasted Lamb is a reminder of the first Passover sacrifice and the sacrifice of Yeshua, the Lamb of God

Bitter Herbs seems to recall the bitterness of slavery.

1 Cor. 5 [7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah / Christ our Passover sacrificed for us:

[8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Putting away of Leaven is a picture of sanctification and getting sin out of our life. Yeshau said, Go and sin NO MORE!

The Hebrew word for Leaven is chametz.

Lets seek to be more like Yeshua with no sin.

1 Cor. 5 [6] Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

[7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

[8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Time to eat and talk about the Passover

I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, I am Yehovah

Exod.12 [12] For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am Yehovah.

Jer.43 [12] And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.

[23 ] Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:

Does this sound like you may have done these things below a time or two as the Israelites have done?

murmurings:

against God, many times

against My commandments, many times

against "the land" which Yehovah gave them ( the building God has given us to meet in )

PASSOVER QUESTIONS

Exod. 13

[6] Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to Yehovah.

[7] Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

[8] And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which Yehovah did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

[14] And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand Yehovah brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

[15] And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that Yehovah slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to Yehovah all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

[16] And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand Yehovah brought us forth out of Egypt.

[17] And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

[18] But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

Deut. 6

[20] And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Yehovah our God hath commanded you?

[21] Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and Yehovah brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:

[22] And Yehovah shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:

[23] And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.

[24] And Yehovah commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yehovah our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.

[25] And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before Yehovah our God, as he hath commanded us.

[26] And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

[27] That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of Yehovah's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

KIDDUSH - Sanctification: Only ONE Cup - in HIS BLOOD - the New Covenant

Matt. 26 [26] And as they were eating, Yeshua took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

[27] And he took "the cup", and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

[28] For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

[29] But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

---------------

Mark 14: [22] And as they did eat, Yeshua took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

[23] And he took "the cup", and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

[24] And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

[25] Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

[26] And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

--------------

Luke 22 [15] And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer:

[16] For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

[17] And he took "the cup", and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

[18] For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

[19] And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

[20] Likewise also "the cup" after supper, saying, "This cup" is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

-------------

1 Cor. 10 [16] "The cup" of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Messiah?

-------------

1 Cor. 11 [23] For I have received of Yeshua that which also I delivered unto you, That Yeshua the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

[24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

[25] After the same manner also he took "the cup", when he had supped, saying, "This cup" is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

[26] For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink "this cup", ye do shew Yeshua's death till he come.

[27] Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink "this cup" of Yeshua, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of Yeshua.

[28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of "that cup".

[29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning Yeshua's body.

[30] For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

[31] For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

[32] But when we are judged, we are chastened of Yeshua, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Let's Pray:

Minister: For I have received of Yeshua that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Yeshua the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Minister: Take eat!

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

Minister: Take drink,

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew Yeshua's death till he come.

Bless Yeshua!

Deut. 6

[1] Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Yehovah your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
[2] That thou mightest fear the Yehovah thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
[3] Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Yehovah God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

[4] Hear, O Israel: Yehovah is our God – Yehovah is one :
[5] And thou shalt love the Yehovah thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
[7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
[8] And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
[9] And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
