Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.
Today is June 22, 2013
June -- Juno's month
Junius had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.
Juno is the principle goddess of the Roman Pantheon.
She is the goddess of marriage and the well-being of women.
She is the wife and sister of Jupiter.
She is identified with the Greek goddess Hera.
Hera is the queen of the gods. Hera is the wife and one of three sisters of Zeus in the Olympian pantheon of Greek mythology and religion.
----------------------------------------------------
Yehovah has His own calendar
We are now in the 4th month, 12th day (this month has no name)
Judaism calls the 4 month Tammuz which is made up, not in the Hebrew Scriptures
The only verse for Tammuz in the Scriptures is:
Ezek.8[ 14] Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Yehovah's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz - ( a pagan deity ) מְבַכּוֹת אֶת־הַ תַּמּוּז -- a Sumerian deity of food or vegetation, a Phoenician deity

Today's
topic
Let's talk about the"LAW" - "TORAH" in the Gospels and Letters
It appears everyone
was concerned with the LAW
Remember, all they had at that time was the TaNaKh,
which is just an acronym for the Torah (Law), prophets, and the writings.
The Word of God - Torah, Prophets and Writings ( psalms )
Torah ( law, teachings )
Ta Na Kk is a acronym for:
T = Torah - first 5 books of Moses
N = Navi' eem or prophets (pl. sounds like - Na vi eem )
K = Ke'tuvim or writings ( psalms etc. )
At this point,
there were no gospels nor letters.
Prov.30 [5 ] Every word of God is pure:
Luke.4 [ 4] And Yeshua answered him, saying, It is
written , That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
This was quoted
from Deut. 8:3 below
Deut.8 [ 3] And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed
thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did
thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by
bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of
the mouth of Yehovah doth man live.
Again - At this point, there were no gospels nor letters. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John did not read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, they lived it.
Paul,
John, James, Jude, Peter and others did not read the letters as we did today,
they wrote them to churches.
When we
see today that there is only one letter to the Ephesians, Colossians,
Philippians, Galatians, and so on, we should understand this is not a complete
picture and we are jumping in somewhere in the middle of the conversation. So
you have to use your Torah mindset to understand what we are reading in these
letters.
I can't
emphasize enough, when we talk about the law, it is
such a broad topic, that you have to understand which part of the law we are
discussing at that time in Scripture when you are reading any particular
passage.
Let's read just a
few scriptures in Matthew:
Yeshua said:
Matt.5[17] Think not that I am come to
destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven
and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no
wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Heaven and Earth is still here, they haven't passes away yet!
---------------------------------------------------------
Matt.7
[12] Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men
should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Matt.11
[13] For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
Matt.12
[1] At that time
Yeshua went on the sabbath
day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred,
and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
[2] But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold,
thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
[3] But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was
an hungred, and they that were with him;
[4] How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread,
which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but
only for the priests?
[5] Or have ye
not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
[6] But I say unto you, That in this place is one
greater than the temple.
[7] But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will
have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have
condemned the guiltless.
[8] For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
---
[9] And when he was
departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
[10] And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked
him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath
days? that they might accuse him.
[11] And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have
one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath
day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
[12] How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore
it is lawful to do well on the sabbath
days.
[13] Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he
stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
---------------
Matt.14
[3] For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for
Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.
[4] For John said unto him, It is
not lawful for thee to have her.
--------------
It is all about the LAW - Torah
Matt.19
[1] And it
came to pass, that when Yeshua had finished these sayings, he departed from
Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
[2] And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
[3] The Pharisees also came unto him,
tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it
lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
[4] And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read (in the Law, Torah), that he
which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
[5] And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall
cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
[6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath
joined together, let not man put asunder.
[7] They say unto him, Why did Moses
then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? (the Law)
[8] He saith unto
them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away
your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
[9] And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his
wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth
her which is put away doth commit adultery. (the Law - one of the 10 commandments)
-------------------
[16] And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good
thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
[17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me
good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
[18] He
saith unto him, Which? Yeshua said, Thou shalt do no
murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not
bear false witness,
[19] Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[20] The young man saith unto him, All these things
have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
[21] Yeshua said unto him, If
thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and
thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
[22] But
when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great
possessions.
[23] Then said
Yeshua unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That
a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
[24] And again I
say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through
the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
[25] When his
disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who
then can be saved?
[26] But Yeshua
beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is
impossible; but with God all things are possible.
[27]
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and
followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
[28] And
Yeshua said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me,
in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory,
ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
[29] And
every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or
mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an
hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
[30] But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
--------------------
Matt.22[35] Then one of
them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
[36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
[37] Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38] This is the first and great commandment.
[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself.
[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets.
Matt.23 [23] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin,
and have omitted the weightier matters of the law,
judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to
leave the other undone.
Luke.24 [44]
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was
yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law
of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
---------------------------
Now just a few random versus in other Gospels
As you can see, I can actually rewrite all the Gospels and
show you that everything is from the law. You just have to know where the
passages are and you will see, it's all about the Torah and prophets.
----------------------------
John.7
[19] Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why
go ye about to kill me?
[23] If a man on the sabbath
day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should
not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit
whole on the sabbath day?
[49] But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
[51] Doth our law judge any man, before it hear
him, and know what he doeth?
John.8[5[17] It is also written in your law, that the
testimony of two men is true.
John.10[34] Yeshua answered them, Is it not written in
your law, I said, Ye are gods?
John.12[34] The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth
for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man
must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
John.15[25] But this cometh to pass, that the word might
be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
Acts.5[34] Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
--------------------------
Some Paul
Acts.13[15] And after the reading of the
law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them,
saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people,
say on.
Acts.21[20] And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said
unto him, Thou seest,
brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all
zealous of the law:
[24] Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads:
and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee,
are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the
law.
Acts.22[3] I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in
Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to
the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye
all are this day.
[12] And one Ananias, a devout man
according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which
dwelt there,
Acts.24[14] But this I confess unto thee, that after the
way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my
fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:[15]
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be
a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Acts.28[23]
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging;
to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them
concerning Yeshua, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from
morning till evening.
Rom.2[12] For as many as have sinned without law shall
also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged
by the law;[13] (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
---------------
There are many scriptures from TaNaK quoted in the Gospels, Acts, the letters and Revelation.
We believe all are authoritative and written by holy men of God.
They all record many interactions of the Holy Spirit, many words of Yeshua, many miracles and prophesy future events not happened yet.
Here is where the problem comes in: Most pseudo Christian churches do
not understand the epistles because they do not know Torah.
They threw away TaKaK, 77% of their Bibles
and separated themselves from the children of God (the people in the TaNaK).
The churches quote the letters, epistles out of context of the TaNaK; This is the reason there are so many different churches, whether Catholic or Protestant, denominational or non-denominational.
You cannot read the letters, epistles without understanding of Torah.
One example would be: every time they read the word "law" they understand it to be Torah and commandments and throw it away.
However, we understand that the word "law" can be defined according to the context of the chapter.
It can mean, the Commandments, the sacrificial system, judgments, or ordinances. Most of the time it is the Levitical priesthood system of atonement which was a shadow of the coming Messiah.
Most churches cannot determine what has been fulfilled in Torah
Example:
Judgment belongs to Messiah now, atonement is now the blood of Messiah, and we are now the temple of Yehovah)
They therefore throw away the Commandments and ordinances.
They have thrown out the Sabbath, the calendar of God, the appointed days and Feasts of Yehovah, clean and unclean - just to mention a few.
We were told to live by 100% of the Word.
------------------
The four gospels are the accounts of Yeshua (who is the Word of God made flesh), His sayings, birth, life, death and resurrection. Also they are full of end time prophecies and Messiah's soon second coming!
Acts is an account of the Jerusalem church.
Acts tell us about the Jews in chapter 2 and Gentiles in chapter 10 receiving the Holy Spirit.
There are many adventures of the apostles recorded.
All the epistles, letters are about people living the TaNaKh which are, to mention a few, Paul, James, John, Peter, Jude etc...
As I said above, they all record many interactions of the Holy Spirit, many words of Yeshua, many miracles and future events not happened yet and much more.
Acts has also
examples of things in the churches to do and not to do, how to handle different
people and situations.
Revelation is an
account of:
Rev.1[ 19] Write
the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which
shall be hereafter ;
Rev.1[ 1] The Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah, which God gave unto him, to
shew unto his servants things which must shortly come
to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
