Yehovah has His own calendar

Today is the 21th day of the first month

Exod.12[ 2] This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

הַחֹדֶשׁ הַזֶּה לָכֶם, רֹאשׁ חֳדָשִׁים: רִאשׁוֹן הוּא לָכֶם, לְחָדְשֵׁי הַשָּׁנָה

Exod.13[ 4] This day came ye out in the month Abib.

הַיּוֹם, אַתֶּם יֹצְאִים , בְּחֹדֶשׁ, הָאָבִיב

Esth.3 [7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan

בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן, הוּא־חֹדֶשׁ נִיסָן

Lev. 23

[1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

[5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yehovah's passover.

[6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto Yehovah: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

[7] In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

[8] But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

Feast of unleavened bread observed in the Gospels and Letters

Matt. 26 [17] Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Yeshua / Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

Mark 14 [1] After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.

[12] And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

Luke 22 [1] Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.

[7] Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.

After the Resurrection, the feast of unleavened bread was also observed

Acts 12 [3] And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

Acts 20 [6] And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.

1 Cor. 5 [7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah / Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

[8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

After the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the weekly Sabbath are over,

we will start our

"7 week" journey to meet God – again!

Lev. 23:

[15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

I feel I should go over the 7 extra Sabbath days in the feasts and holy days of Yehovah

Remember: Feast of Weeks (A Sabbath) Sunday, May 27^th (2 Sabbaths in a row)

Again, Sunday, May 27^th is a Sabbath

I will explain the Sabbath, the 7th day

All extra Sabbaths are treated the same

This is how simple it is:

Exod. 20

[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yehovah thy God hath commanded thee.
[13] Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

[15] And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that Yehovah thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore Yehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Lev. 23

[3] Six days shall work be done:

but

the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an “holy convocation”;

ye shall do no work therein:

it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him,

1 - not doing thine own ways,

2 - nor finding thine own pleasure,

3 - nor speaking thine own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the Sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day?

Let’s talk about the Feasts of Yehovah and the “7” extra Sabbaths

My Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign

Exod. 31

[13] Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Yehovah that doth sanctify you.

[ 14] Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

[15] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to Yehovah: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

[17 ] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Let's look at a few vocabulary words for better understanding:

Servile work- melakat avodah מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה

עֲבֹדָה avodah - work of any kind: act, bondservant, labor, service. Tillage, work, etc…

מְלֶאכֶת melakat - occupation, work, business public business

All Sabbaths are Holy Convocations

Holy convocation

מקרא miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

קדשׁ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness

The feasts and holydays of Yehovah are all about the Messiah’s 1^st and 2^nd comings

Colossians 2:16:

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17: Which are a shadow of "things to come";(future tense)

but the body is of Messiah / Christ.

Lev. 23

The feast of unleavened bread חַג הַמַּצּוֹת – starts the 14th at evening- 15th day

1 *** [7] In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

בַּיּוֹם, הָרִאשׁוֹן, מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ, יִהְיֶה לָכֶם; כָּל-מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה, לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ

2 *** [8] But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

The 21th day

וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה, שִׁבְעַת יָמִים; בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ, כָּל-מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ

The 3rd month

The feast of weeks חַג הַשָּׁבֻעוֹת (always on Sunday or the first day)

3 *** [21] And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

וּקְרָאתֶם בְּעֶצֶם הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה, מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ יִהְיֶה לָכֶם--כָּל-מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה, לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ: חֻקַּת עוֹלָם בְּכָל-מוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם, לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם

The 7th month

Memorial of blowing of trumpets זִכְרוֹן תְּרוּעָה - 1st day

4 *** [24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

דַּבֵּר אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, לֵאמֹר: בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ, יִהְיֶה לָכֶם שַׁבָּתוֹן--זִכְרוֹן תְּרוּעָה, מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ

[25] Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.

כָּל-מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה, לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ; וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם אִשֶּׁה, לַיהוָה

The Day of Atonement - יוֹם הַכִּפֻּרִים 10th day

5 *** [27] Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.

אַךְ בֶּעָשׂוֹר לַחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי הַזֶּה יוֹם הַכִּפֻּרִים הוּא, מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ יִהְיֶה לָכֶם, וְעִנִּיתֶם, אֶת-נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם; וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם אִשֶּׁה, לַיהוָה

[28] And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before Yehovah your God.

וְכָל-מְלָאכָה לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ, בְּעֶצֶם הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה: כִּי יוֹם כִּפֻּרִים, הוּא, לְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיכֶם, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם

[29] For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

כִּי כָל-הַנֶּפֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר לֹא-תְעֻנֶּה, בְּעֶצֶם הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה--וְנִכְרְתָה, מֵעַמֶּיהָ

[30] And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.

וְכָל-הַנֶּפֶשׁ, אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשֶׂה כָּל-מְלָאכָה, בְּעֶצֶם, הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה--וְהַאֲבַדְתִּי אֶת-הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַהִוא, מִקֶּרֶב עַמָּהּ

[31] Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

כָּל-מְלָאכָה, לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ: חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם, בְּכֹל מֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם

[32] It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

שַׁבַּת שַׁבָּתוֹן הוּא לָכֶם, וְעִנִּיתֶם אֶת-נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם; בְּתִשְׁעָה לַחֹדֶשׁ, בָּעֶרֶב--מֵעֶרֶב עַד-עֶרֶב, תִּשְׁבְּתוּ שַׁבַּתְּכֶם

The feast of tabernacles חַג הַסֻּכּוֹת

6 *** [35] On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 15th day

בַּיּוֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן, מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ; כָּל-מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה, לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ

7 *** [36] Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. 22nd day

שִׁבְעַת יָמִים, תַּקְרִיבוּ אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה; בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי מִקְרָא-קֹדֶשׁ יִהְיֶה לָכֶם וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה, עֲצֶרֶת הִוא--כָּל-מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה, לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ

That was my explanation of the 7 extra Sabbaths, please go over it as many times as you need.

Remember, these holydays were observed 1000's of years later in the Gospels and Letters. After Yeshua and all the Apostles die it seems many of God’s observances and memorials were deleted.
